Rise of Nations - question to install Windows 7 64 bit

It seems my system does not recognize the installation disk I just bought. I have tried to disable my anti-virus (mcafee), but is still unable to install the disk.

Will there be a digital download of the full version in order to download and activate with my codes with my drive?

Hello

1 - is the cd/dvd detected in Windows Explorer?
2. what happens with the other DVD/cd?
3. the disk works with other computers?

You can contact the order desk and get the drive replaced if it does not work in the other computer.

Thank you, and in what concerns:

  • Satellite P200 - 17 c - I want to install Windows 7 64 bit

    Hello

I use Toshiba P200 - 17 c (PSPB6E) and were broadcast on the public beta of Windows 7 32 bit because it had been released a few months earlier, but I am surely informed Windows 7 64 bit is the way to go, so I would like to give it a try when the RC was released on 5 May. I have some questions I want to answer it please:

    1. the "spec" for my laptop indicates that it supports the Intel 64-bit architecture, but that the BIOS must also support 64-bit. Can someone tell me if my P200 will support and run Windows 7 RC 64 bit?

    2. my current BIOS version is v2.50 for 32-bit and the download page was also a v2.50 for 64 bit, does that mean if I want to use Windows 7 RC 64 bit, I need to Flash my BIOS using thev2.50 BIOS 64-bit?

    3. If the answer to Q2 is Yes and I flashed my BIOS using the d/l 64-bit, do I need to re - flash BIOS 32 bit if I want to go back to using any 32 bit OS?

    4. If the answer to Q3 is Yes, then I would have thought that Toshiba would have created a BIOS that would support 32-bit and 64-bit at the same time.

    > As mentioned above, I am using Windows 7 32 bit and if I had to install Windows 7 RC 64 bit, would I need to update my BIOS with BIOS of 64-bit while I use a 32 bit OS and then install the 64 bit OS, or I install the OS 64-bit with my current 32-bit BIOS and then update once the 64 bit OS is installed?
    > (My personal feelings are that I had to upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit BIOS while I use Windows 7 32 bits and then immediately to install Windows 7 64 bit)?

If you want to update the BIOS, then you must first switch to the OS preinstalled Toshiba!
I doubt that the BIOS update has been tested with Windows 7 at the moment and in my opinion, there is a high risk that something went wrong during the BIOS update process!

  • My Windows 7 upgrade disk has only 32 bits. I want to install Windows 7 64-bit. What can I do?

Upgrade to 64 - bit with this situation?
A few years ago, I bought a PC which has Vista installed on it, but I was given a Windows 7 Upgrade disk to install Windows 7. I was able to create a clean install with upgrade disc. Recently, I discovered that my processor can support 64-bit, so I want to go to that. Problem is the upgrade disc contains the 32-bit version, even though I believe complete dics of Windows 7 contains both versions. It does not mean that I am eligible for the 64 bit version of Windows 7? It's terribly confusing.
What are my options for installation of 64-bit? The 64-bit version can be downloaded or something? I even use the same product key?

Will be the product key, I received with my job to drive upgrade with the 64-bit version, I downloaded?

    Yes.

The key of Windows 7 works with 32 and 64 bit, but can only be installed at a time.

You may need to use the phone activation, two methods to do this are below.

    1. start by clicking on the start menu, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. press enter on your keyboard

    3. Select your country.

4 Select the telephone activation option, enter the number, do not select all options and wait for a person pick up, then explain what happened.

    2. call Microsoft use the manual phone Activation

Note: If you always install Windows page enter your product key, do not enter your key and uncheck the "Automatically activate when online" then click OK/next to complete the installation.

    1. open Windows Activation - click the Start button, right-click on computer, click Properties, and then click on the option change your key.

    2. click on show me other ways to activate.

3 type your Windows 7 product key, and then click Next.

  • is it possible to install windows 7 64-bit on dell 8600C

    Hello

At the present time, I have a dell inspiron 8600C with 2 gigabytes of RAM, 80 GB hard drive with windows xp sp3. Is it possible to install the version of windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on this laptop? The Advisor to updgrade windows 7 Microsoft informs me that windows 7 32 bit can be installed on it?

Thanks for the reply in advance

    Rajeev

The 8600C Dell came with a Pentium M processor which is 32-bit only. You cannot install 64-bit with this processor, but 32-bit will work.

    Installation custom own steps

    Time to use:

Switching from XP to 7, or not supported in place upgrade paths (ex: Vista Home Pro 7)

A Windows system to 32 bit on a 64 bit system, or change the language

Don't want to make a room upgrade, or if you want a fresh install / clean

You can use a Full Windows 7 or upgrade disk to do a custom clean install. This will remove all of your programs, but you can save your files and settings on an external storage before doing so. You will need to reinstall all your programs after installing Windows 7. Here are the steps:

    1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor to see if there are known problems that might affect installation and if you can install the 32-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows 7.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/downloads/Upgrade-Advisor

    2. backup all your files and settings to avoid losing documents, photos and other information. Windows Easy Transfer is a free tool to copy files (not programs) from your PC and then transfer back after installation of Windows 7. If you don't want to use Windows Easy Transfer, you can copy your files to a Flash DRIVE or CD/DVD. Note: The easy transfer will not work when changing languages, or when moving from 64 bit to 32 bit (it will work ranging from 32-bit to 64-bit).

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/Windows-easy-transfer

    3. find the discs installation and license/product associated to all your programs keys, because you have to manually reinstall all programs. If you have downloaded some Internet programs you can redownload them.

    4. place the Windows 7 disc in your DVD player. A window should appear from the installation process, when asked the type of installation do you want click on custom (advanced option). Note: 32 to 64-bit requires restart and boot from the DVD.

    5. when Windows 7 is installed, you can use Windows Easy Transfer (or a different backup method you used) to restore your files & settings and use your installation disks to reinstall all your programs. Then you're done - take advantage of Windows 7.

care should I install windows 7 64 bit, while I am currently using my system 32-bit hard 80 GB, pentium d 3.00 ghz processor, 2 GB ram, vga 256

    Original title: windows7 64-bit

    Hello

It is not necessary to install Windows 7 64 bit instead of 32-bit.

    Your RAM is only 2GBs.

benefits of 64-bit is designed for and tested with the system of at least 4GBs RAM hardware and more.

    This applies to you:

What version of Windows 7 should I install: the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version?

To install a 64 bit version of Windows 7, you need a processor that is capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows. The benefits of using a 64-bit operating system are especially visible when you have a large amount of RAM (RAM) installed on your computer, typically 4 GB RAM or more. In this case, because a 64-bit operating system can handle large amounts of memory more effective than a 32-bit operating system, a 64-bit system can be more responsive when you run several programs at once and switching between them frequently.

  • Cannot print from FSX w/acceleration, no further questions. Running Windows 7 64 bit.

I have FSX w/acceleration installed for a few years now on my HP G71 dual core laptop and it works great, that I had no problem at all. It was my first attempt to print from it however. I wanted to print a flight plan, click on the "print" button and nothing happened. I went to the Panel, open Printers and devices, and my printer was there, online and ready without papers pending. I went to properties and even printed a test page, so I know that the issue is not with the printer. For some reason any FSX does not send the document to the printer. How can I remedy, which should look and where? Thank you in advance for any light that can be shared.

A few videos that use the Flash plugin contain a menu entry in the context menu that allows to disable hardware acceleration in flash player.

To disable the mode you will need to edit the file C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg as explained in the knowledge base article protected.

  • Satellite P300 - how to install Windows 7 64 bit?

    Hello

I had a Toshiba Windows 7 upgrade for my P300 which was under Vista 32 bit. During installation, asked me if I wanted to install 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 and I chose 32-bit. Installation worked fine.

Now (moths later) I decided that I would like to install the 64-bit version instead. I have an own (custom) settled by booting from the DVD, but it don't did me not option for the moment and all re-installed Windows 7 32 bit. I know that the 64-bit version is on the DVD (there is a folder for it) - how to start from the DVD and have it install the 64 bit version?
I didn't format the drive when you perform the clean installation - if I do that it will give me the option?

    Thank you
    Ben.

    Great news, mate! :)

Thank you for this feedback. I'll test it on my Satellite P300 I want to upgrade to Windows 7 too.

In addition, an upgrade is possible to the same version: This means that Vista 32 bit can only be upgraded to 32-bit Windows 7. On 64 bit it s the same ;)

  • Can satellite A100-011 - I install Windows 7 64 bit?

Can you please tell me if I install Windows 7 64 bit where can I find the drivers, because they are not listed on the Toshiba site.

    Thanx.

    Akis

    Hi Akis,

    > where I can find the drivers, because they are not listed on the Toshiba site.
That of the point because the drivers provided for this model, you can find on the official website of Toshiba. There's no other place where you can download the pre-tested and official drivers for Toshiba laptops.

Theoretically, there s no problem to install Windows 7, but you don't have to search the drivers yourself on other sites like:
    Etc.

An alternative you can try 64 bit Vista drivers. Usually they should work on Windows 7 too.

  • Can satellite A100-003 - I install Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit?

    Hello everyone,

I have the Satellite A100-003 and I've been running it with Windows XP since I it (triple). Now I want to install Windows 7 on it, however, I'm confused about what can I install on it.

I have a few places on the Toshiba site, I found that I can install Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit), but I can met some problems with the BIOS, in other places, I tried but could not find the drivers for Windows 7 64 bit.

So what is the case? My first goal is to install windows 7 64 bit, because I have 4 GB of RAM on my laptop, but even the 32 bit would be a better choice than XP right now.
So I can install Windows 7 64 bit on my laptop?

Thanks in advance for any answer!

    Hello

Important before installing another OS, you check the Toshiba driver download page. Satellite A100-003 belongs to the PSAARE series and is therefore not available for Windows 7 drivers. You can only get the drivers for Windows XP and Vista 32 bit.

This means that you can try to install Windows 7 because Vista drivers most also work on Windows 7.
If this isn't the case you find newer drivers yourself, maybe you can find something.
