Please help me find the problem.

Hi all

Problem has been resolved.

He had no problem with the command "duplicate target database to the backup location 'clonedb' ' / backup_database / '; '

This command will also work.

Resolution:-at first I was using backup for cloning. This time I used 'INCREMENTAL level 0' backup and it worked.

    Hello

    My level 0 backup failed over the weekend and I don't understand why. I know I have four data corruption with files, so I put the MAXCORRUPT to 5 for these specific files so the continuous backup to work. This script has completed successfully in the past, and the structure of the database has not changed since the last backup of level 0 has been taken using this script. Which third-party library management (for example ibm TSM etc.) do you use?

    It seems that this is problem of backup server, which could be the possible reasons:

    1. the customer node is not registered correctly.
    2 backup server is busy and not able to allocate channels to a customer's request.
    etc.

    have ever run you backup for this computer?

    Google found some questions, but not editing responses.

    So far:
    -J' checked folder & users rights.
    -J' found some files in /tmp/ - yes I have "backup" the archivelogs saved to-delete files in / tmp - I only active archivelogmode so that I can onlinebackup
    -J' managed to connect via rman and run REMOVE OBSOLETE manual - result above.
    -Real I delete the game one by one to find the set of problems. (delete backupset 12345) in the list manually.

    Some a good idea of what went wrong?

    additional: is there a way to let the oracle to remove the archvielog directory-empy after you remove newspapers to breast?

    18:00 - the order "> of RMAN BACKUP CURRENT CONTROLFILE ' also fails.

  • RMAN recovery failure

    Expensive of DBA,.

    I tried a RMAN recovery... to form a 64-bit server to a 32-bit server 10.2.0.4 10.2.0.3.

    After the recoverey DB won't start... I had a lot of posts like this: ORA-06553: PLS-801: Internet Fehler [56319]...

    After that, I let start the database in upgrade mode and allow to run the following scripts:

    @?\rdbms\admin\utlirp.sql

    @?\rdbms\admin\catproc.sql

    @?\rdbms\admin\catalog.sql

    @?\rdbms\admin\utlrp.sql

    After that, everything works fine in 32-bit...

    My question is:

    It's OK to let flow catproc.sql and catalog.sql again?
    Or is it wrong?
    What it means exactly by an existing database?

    Thanks for all replies!

    BR
    Herrmann

    The easiest way would be wanted to get an export of the database and then import it on the new host. Other than that, you can migrate your db to the 32-bit version and can then move it to the new host. For error, a quick Google search gave this
    ORA-06553: PLS-801: internal error [56319]

    Try it and post your comments.

    Hello;

    In my view, that it is a bug that has to do with the compatibility of the compression.

    I think that work around is:

    alter system  set "_compression_compatibility"="11.2.0";

    Let me confirm with a document number of MOS

    Subsequently Cannot find the doc of MOS - this has some details:

    Hi all

    The data file 344 and 345 belonged to two different tablespaces that were not used.

    More, I don't know why, but the timestamp on these two data files 344 and 345 was showiing like JULY 6 instead of JULY 28.

    If I was sure that this was causing the problem.

    I gave these 2 storage spaces and then runs again once again the script removing created controlfiles and the database has been opened.

    Just curious as to why these 2 data files were not getting filled with the timestamp of the last?

    Concerning
    KK

    What is the status of the two data files? You can query to source database
    SQL > select file_id, dba_data_files online_status where file_id in (344 345);

    This backup contains these two files? If these two tablespaces have only a data file is in read-only mode?

    Hello

    I'm getting ORA-17627: ORA-01017: name of user and password invalid. connection refused when using the RMAN duplicate on the same host using the account Oracle DBA. The system is Linux Oracle and Oracle 11.2.0.1 5.5

    I tested the connectivity and passwords and everything works fine. What could be the reason of this problem please?

    Details below:

    Thank you.

    H3. Summary of the solution:

    A big thank you to all who responded! The problem is solved finally :-)

    The ORA-17627: ORA-01017 has been corrected using the connection string to connect to the target database, instead of target rman / in the command prompt
    $ rman
    RMAN> connect target sys/password@orcl
    RMAN> connect auxiliary sys/password@clonedb
    RMAN> duplicate target database to clonedb from active database;
    However, there was still another question:
    channel ORA_DISK_1: starting datafile copy

    ORA-17628: Oracle error 19505 returned by remote Oracle server

    The alert.log to the auxiliary database (clonedb) shows:

    Errors in the /u01/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/clonedb/clonedb/trace/clonedb_ora_6129.trc file:

    ORA-27040: create file error, cannot create the file
    Linux-x86_64 error: 2: no such file or directory

    I fixed the problem by changing the following text in the settings of the clonedb instance file:

    * .db_file_name_convert =('+Data/ORCL/','/Scratch/oradata/clonedb/')
    * .log_file_name_convert =('+Data/ORCL/onlinelog/','/Scratch/oradata/clonedb/logfile/')

    Thank you!

    Hi guy,
    Please configure the tnsnames and auditor of the target and auxiliary.
    That set the script to use OIC to connect in both instances like this:

    connect target sys/test@orcl
    connect auxiliary sys/test@clonedb

    Please after the release.
    Kind regards
    Tycho

    Your definition of the Windows service uses a different inittest.ora or spfiletest.ora - not the one that you have edited.

    Hi all

    I use oracle 10.2.0.3.

    Well,.

    The duplicate database is restored. It remains only the archivelogs.
    If I try to backup all archivelogs again and to run the double once more,
    The data files already restored are underwritten, or RMAN ALL restart again, RESTORE
    ALL DATA FILES?
    The database has 600 GB. So, if I start again, it's a big problem.

    What can I do to fix this?

    Thank you very much!!!

    This is an Enterprise edition? Have you configured in Eve and dataguard on primary configuration?
    Which command you gave to duplicate?
    RMAN > target database duplicate for standby?

    then start MRP from sleep mode: -.
    SQL > recover database managed altert disonnect waiting database session;

    Main post office: -.
    Select the code from ds.dest_id
    ad.status
    ds.database_mode db_mode
    type ad.archiver
    ds.recovery_mode
    ds.protection_mode

    order by

    The database has 600 GB. So, if I start again, it's a big problem.

    First thing is that you can make two copies because the database is already mounted...
    Why you want to restore again?

    Just start MRP and post if no errors.

  • Open resetlogs duplicate

    Hello world

    Under manual oracle, duplicate command must make 'open resetlogs' implicitly.
    I just issued "backup database more archivelog ' and copied across all backupsets. However, oracle is not open database with resetlogs open and always awaiting archivelogs.
    No idea why?

    When you duplicate the database its looking for the last archivelog generated, its not get it and failing. recover your database using the until the command until you have available archives journal. After that, open your database in the mode resetlog.

  • RMAN Duplication failed on another host

    Hi, I use oracle 10.2.0.4 on solaris 5.10 to duplicate the database of 1 host 2 host. I had tried that before and it was successful, except that the first time I had tried with a smaller database.

    Here's the code I ran host 1 and the error message below. Any help would be greatly appreciated:

    Hi Alex,

    The file it is trying to restore is approximately 22 GB and the drive carrier has about 34 GB of free space, as shown below:

    [oracle@siedbauq01] /archive/ar003/UNTPUAT2/UNTPUAT2/backupset/2011_02_07 [UNOLTSVT]>df -h /index/*
    Filesystem size used avail capacity Mounted on
    /dev/md/dsk/d36        197G   161G    34G    83%    /index/ix001

    Please notify.

    As says this problem with the free space above the oracle. Thus, to increase the free space and try again. See above the first error, this indicates that it is error of space.
