• RoboHelp 2015 adapted HTML5: child projects are not displayed in the output of the main project

  I have a main and right project currently linking to two projects of the child. I published the projects of the child to the correct file to location SSL of the master project.   I'm sorry, it took me so long to look at more in detail, but the good news is that the project you sent me now works correctly in Firefox and IE.

  The problem has been setup. You must build the parent to a folder that will then create the ready files for the child projects. Next, you generate each child in the child's file in the mergedProjects folder in the parent folder. You generated to the! SSL! each project folder.

• RoboHelp 2015 adapted HTML5: the function bar is not displayed

  I created HTML5 available reactive using the Azure plan screen provided. When poster on my monitor, I don't see search or function such as copy icons, etc. When I look in the presentation of the blue screen, the functionality is displayed here in the header.

  I searched the Forum, but have not been able to find what I need. Is there a solution that requires no HTML editing?

  In addition, the function print will allow the print just the page help?

  I thought about it. I got the value 150% screen appearance so I could read and see everything. When I changed it to 100%, I could see the bar all function very well.

• How can I return my default styles for simulation software?

  While trying to remove a custom style I have some successful how to remove the default styles provided with CS9 (even if I hit Cancel).  Now when I try to put in place the style for a software simulation settings I have all of the options and if I click on create new the software crash.  Same thing happens if I click on restore by default.  The software has been uninstalled and reinstalled, but I still have the issue.

  All styles (master slides and skin) are in a theme. What theme are you using? There is no "styles by default', each topic has its styles. Can you be more detailed? If you speak one of the themes included with Captivate, you work with those stored in the Layouts folder in the assets of e-learning in the Public (Windows) or shared documents (Mac). This file is a copy of the original file that you can find in the subfolder layouts in the gallery under the installation folder. You can return to define an original theme by copy/paste to this public folder that I pointed out. If you want to reset all of the original themes included with Captivate, you can also close Captivate, delete the Layouts folder in public documents (NOT in the gallery) and when you open copied CP a new folder will be created in the public documents with all of the original themes.

• How can I move an external style sheet to a CSS folder in my site?

  I use Dreamweaver CS5. I created an external style sheet and not record in my CSS file. I am unable to complete the seemingly simple task of putting this external stylesheet in this folder without turning off on my page. Can someone tell me how to proceed?

  Open your external CSS file in DW.

  Go to file > save as.  Save it in your CSS file.

  DW will ask you if you want to update the links.  Press Yes.

  Every time when we publish, we assign some settings again.

  Ok.  Now, it makes more sense.

  What you need to do is set up the Captivate models that can be used to launch all new projects.

  A template file is a file, not a file CP or CPTX CPTL.

  In Captivate 4, you can set up a project with all the settings, you liked, and then save it as a CPTL.

  In Captivate 5 you do not have this option by default, if you need to start a new CPTL and set everything up the way you want, then use this CPTL to generate new files CPTX. However, Lilybiri you can just change the file ending in CPTL CPTX and it should work.  I'm a little suspicious that it would be as simple as that.

• RoboHelp 2015 - Analytics/Reporting/Feedback

  What options are available for Robohelp 2015 (responsive HTML5) Analytics/reports and user comments? Apparently, RoboHelp Server is not an option. I've seen Google Analytics, but judging by another post based on Robohelp 7, it was not a good option. I don't know if this has changed with the new product from Adobe, however. For the comments of the users, I watched incorporation Wufoo forms of feedback. They work, but looks like I need to create a separate form for each page. That would certainly turn into a headache. I'm hoping HR 2015 has these built-in features and I'm kind of on them. I doubt that is the case with the amount of research I've done, though. All the tips, tricks and advice is greatly appreciated!

  Basically, you get back the Google tracking code. You add then copy the following code to the header/footer page of your master page and you're ready to go. Alternatively, you can open the .slp skin file and add the tracking code there. Google offers good instructions, which should help you to make it work.

• How to map contextual UI hooks to Multiscreen HTML5 help topics?

  My company has several products that are Web-based applications, and link us to aid online, which opens a context-sensitive topic for each page. We are now rethinking the webapps to be compatible with mobile devices and want to use HTML5 Multiscreen output for online help, so experience of online assistance reflects the experience of the webapp UI.

  In the past, we have programmed a simple direct URL link in the user interface to make a link to help (webhelp output). For example, we had two pages, Page1 and Page2, if the URL in the Web related to application help button:

  Is it possible using the ID card to program a unique URL in my webapp and have RoboHelp to choose the right path to follow based on the specs of the device? For example, if Page1help.htm had a 1 ID card, is there a similar URL convention to http://www.mycompany.com/robohelp/product_name/index_csh.htm#topicID=1 who would work in this context?

  I couldn't find any documentation in support of Adobe that explain how to create a context mapping in these circumstances.

  Any help would be appreciated.

• You can control when the styles are added on your style sheet?

  I would like to have css files organized in a certain way for the ease of use and DW sometimes join the end and sometimes add to the middle.

  It is quite easy to organize styles in CSS designer. There are several aspects:

  • When a selector is already selected in the pane of selectors, by clicking on the button "+" to create a new selector inserts the new rule of style immediately after the selected one.
  • If you want to move the selectors in your stylesheet, you can drag and drop them in the Panel of selectors. The style rules will be moved to the new location in the style sheet.
  • You can even move a different style sheet style rules. Select the styles that you want to move and begin to drag. Keep the mouse button while dragging on the @Media pane and then drag the style selected on the stylesheet to target in the Sources pane.
  • To adapt a style rule existing for use in a media query, right click on the selector and choose duplicate in the query on the shortcut menu. You can then select the media query in the submenu that appears.

• RoboHelp 2015 multiple authors can not access to each of the other changes

  As one of our authors RHelp update an existing topic - cash, change then check-in and all is good, because these changes are visible from the Explorer RoboSource customer as well as the history and other users/authors can see the changes made by no other author via RH2015.

  However, when author X creates a new topic and check it into Version control, there are no errors on the checkin, BUT author there can see the original newly page created and not all changes that no other author has created. Author can make their own changes, but only the person doing the updates can see their updates and no changes made by someone else. When you view the DB/project of the Explorer RoboSource Control 3.1 Client connected to the actual machine where RoboSource Control Server is installed, only the original copy of the new topic/Page is visible without antecedent change made by an author.

  • The subjects/page works as expected. (checkout, mark edits, consignment) all the updates and history are also expected and visible by all authors through RH2015. AND through RSC customer 3.1 Explorer on the RSC server machine.
  • New topic/page created - for which there are changes only the person who has checked these changes may see these changes through RH2015 and not archived by other changes. More by using their local copy of the RSC customer Explorer him only see the current and history for their own evolution.  However, if you use RSC 3.1 customer Explorer of the real source server computer control there is no history of visible changes and shows only the initial report charge/checked in the new page.

  Any thoughts on the areas to review?  Have checked the properties of file on the new issues and they look like to the files (topics) that work as expected. RoboSource control 3.1 all users have the same rights as the account admin. full access.

• RoboHelp 2015 - the Page is not found

  I am trying to create a topic that links to a Web page in Robohelp 2015 using the sensitive HTML5 output; However, every time that I discovered the output and select the topic, I get the error below the screenshot of the properties of the Table of Contents Page. The link works if I paste it in a browser, however. Can someone help me understand what I am doing wrong? I often do this in Robohelp 10.

• Change the name of the project that is used on the server of RoboHelp for reactive HTML5

  I use Adobe 2015 to publish Responsive HTML5 in RoboHelp Server 10.

  When I publish the project, it seems to name the file, the name of the project. So, if my project is named Cool_Blue, he the published under Cool_Blue. Is anyway to change this name? I know that WebHelp Pro you can set the name differently. I've looked everywhere and can't find how to do, so any help would be appreciated.

  Nita, I think what you're trying to do is change the name of the project in a shorter file name while in general, you will have the shortest paths. If this is the case, you must simply renaming the project, then delete leftovers from the project a longer name on RoboHelp Server and you are home free.

  So, if you want to change the name of the project (rather than the name in the 'bar' of the browser, you must change the project name by going to > file > rename project)

  So looking at your screenshot posted previously, the CIE would be to use sensitive available, but it could appear as

  I add the following text because there was some confusion because of new workflow in RoboHelp 2015 and the new RoboHelp Server 10.

  With regard to the "naming" confusion I'll try to decompress it. There has been some changes in the publication of things since the release of RoboHelp (2015) and, now, RoboHelp Server 10. For example:

  1. What we once called "Single Source Layouts' (SSL), we now call for 'outputs (SSL).
  2. It used to be that if you have been published on a Server of RoboHelp, it was mandatory to use an exit called WebHelp Pro.
  3. WebHelp Pro is still alive and well and can be used to publish in RoboHelp Server 10.
     EXCEPT when you want to publish sensitive HTML5 content to the new RoboHelp Server 10.
  4. In this case, if you post the more modern layout Responsive HTML5 option, it is appropriate to use a sensitive of HTML5 (SSL) output and select a HTML5 compatible screen available in the Pod to set up output.

• RoboHelp 2015: Several output types that are not available when you open the project created with RH9

  I recently upgraded from RoboHelp 9 in RoboHelp 2015, and I have installed all updates. I use WebHelp output for most of my projects. I would like to use the new features of HR 2015, specifically the release of HTML5 sensitive; However, when I open a project created with RH9, this type of output is not available. This type of output, and many others is not listed as options can I choose from eBook including HTML5 Multiscreen, and others. I tried to create a new project with HR 2015, and import my RH9 project files, but the sensitive HTML5 output and others remained unavailable. Are there settings I can change into my existing project or HR 2015 in order to use these features and new types of output? Recreate all the subjects in HR 2015 seems to be a very undesirable solution.

  Operating system: Windows 7, 64 bit

  Right click on the pod output and select new.  All options will be listed.

• Why the subjects in my project RoboHelp disappear after update to RoboHelp 2015?

  After the upgrade to a RoboHelp 10 to RoboHelp 2015 project, all the themes of the project are deleted when the subjects are then updated. The project is a document linked FrameMaker - updates as planned, but when I update the headings, one of two things occurs:

  1. Links are broken and all the topics appear in the 'Broken links' folder, or
  2. All subjects simply disappear.

  (Running Adobe Tech Comm Suite 2015 on Windows 7, 64-bit; RoboHelp being updated to v12.0.2.384; FrameMaker, set updated to v 13.0.2.433.)

  I had a few successful update of the subjects if I update separately each 'chapter' in the book, but if I use the option "update all the ', the results are as shown above. And, as you can see, the results are not compatible. This happened with two projects that I have converted in 2015 of RoboHelp.

  I find no information about it in the forums. Screenshot below is included to show the effect of ' update all ' in a project.

  I appreciate any assistance with this annoying quirk!

  I tried your steps exactly but it works very well at my end.

  Try this: in the project folder there is a file named .cpd, delete this file and re - open the project in RoboHelp and then update the book connected to FM.

  Try it and tell me if it solves this problem.
