  Try this.go in the menus. Select cc illustrator > preferences > display selection & anchor > then make sure the box "activate the rubber band for" the pen tool is not selected. Then press OK. It should work.

  Try the latest version of the driver. According to the website the most recent driver is 6.3.14 (you mentioned another version)

  I use a computer with a screen of active pen.  It's the perfect way to work with focal lightroom edits.  I prefer this over the mouse or Wacom tablet.  However, I'm left-handed.  This creates a problem.  With the adjustment on the right panel, when you move the sliders your hand covers the major part of the image.  Just a problem that I have to use a mouse to adjust the sliders.  Once I drew what I need on the image I put the pen down and pick up the mouse, is not ideal.  The solution is to be able to swap the positions of the panels so that the adjustment panel is on the left.  10% of the population is left-handed.  It is even higher among creative.  It would be very difficult for left-handed people.  Is this possible?

  I prefer to use a commercial software removal program that scans the registry and the left drive on the entries and files after uninstall has deleted the program itself. Adobe is one of the suppliers of software that leaves a lot of unidentifiable but numbered registry keys, when one of its applications is removed.

  I remember Microsoft saying that it was advisable to back up your main disk, reformat and restore the content of all two years. I've never done this because I often update my PC after a few years and start with a fresh install of everything.

  IN ANY CASE... In response to me (who started this thread). If you remove JPG as a default Photoshop bridge, bridge will also remove Photoshop like the native for jpg files. All I had to do was re-enter Photoshop Bridge as the opener JPG and the registry has been modified to make Windows 7 open files jpg with Photoshop. What I asked originally was the registry key to modify so that Explorer would allow me to Photoshop, choose another (faster viewing) alternatives when I compared details between nearly identical pictures.

  Photoshop (and bridge) are much too smart. The registry key that would let me open jpg with Photo Viewer by default but choose Photoshop when I wanted to is hidden by the number and not a description. I suppose that one day I could find the answer, but for now, bridge will not let you remove Photoshop as the opener of JPG and always give it to you (or explore) the option open with Photoshop or another program, if you choose to.

• Newbie question: using the pen tool

  Hi, I drew a shape with the tool pen in Flash CS4. When I double click on the line, it highlights the whole shape, but I can not complete for some reason any.  If I single click, that part of the line is highlighted (before he changes the angle). How can I get this line to connect as a form to invoke filling on it?

  This does not mean that having a closed shape.  is there a visible gaps?  (if you have a vision problem, you can use the magnifying glass tool.)

  or post a screenshot of your sketch unselected.

• A good software keyboard to use the pen as input?

  I played with the Graffiti app but I do not have a shortcut of Palm for letters. Y at - it a keyboard that will allow me to write with the pen? I like the note taking application for input method, but I want that on all applications.

• Cursor turns in a circle when you use the pen and Wacom Tablet?

  When you use the stylus and Tablet Wacom the cursor becomes a circle inscribed in a circle and use.

  What type of Wacom tablet work?  I have a Cintiq, and according to that tool I use, I tend to change the pointer in what ever I need.

  But if you use an Intuos I can ask someone at Wacom Europe, since I work closely with them on the Wacom InfoChannel.

• How can I quickly turn in selection after using the pen tool?

  Is there a quick key/s to make a selection with what I come with the pen tool?

  I don't know if there is a keyboard shortcut, but I created an action to do and then assign one of the function keys to this action. I wanted a 1 feather px on my selection, that's why I've included that in the action as well.
