  One option is to use the utility command line fb - turn in Automator service and assign a keyboard shortcut. Download the GitHub source fb-rotation, compilation, following the indications on GitHub and output the binary to usr; or download a binary compiled and move to usr/local/bin.

  Ah ha! Long story short, Display.getHeight () returns the height of the screen, but if the virtual keyboard is displayed, its height will not appear in the getHeight() value.  This was causing problems with my orientation detection code.

Unfortunatey to a slow rotation, something like 400 frames 25/dry pinion jitters, even more when more buttons are added.

  I was wondering if there was anyway to smooth interpolation for a spin without interruption of Nice service and if there is anyway to cause the gear to slow down when you move to a button. I can do stop on a roll and start again on a rear roller but I was hoping for more of a reduction in speed and have never worked with change this before.

  If it is a scenario animation, you'll want to switch to the use of an actionscript based animation.  If the rotation is constantly occurring, you can use a control enterFrame to deal with constant increment the cog _rotation property.  When you want to slow things down you can simply change the value of the increment _rotation.

  For example for you to work, create a new Flash file and inside draw an object any and convert it into a movieclip with instance name 'COG '.  With this object on the stage, place the following code on the timneline...

  In the configuration of the screenshot I see you want to acquire 100 samples at 1 kHz. This means that each acquisition will be at least 100ms which might be too long for your application. NEITHER 9237 supports a maximum rate of 50 kHz, so my first sugestion would be to simply increase the sampling rate and see if it helps.
