The add-on works with Firefox 33.0 on a single computer, but on a different computer, Firefox 33.0 indicates that the module is not compatible.

I have a laptop and a desktop computer. Both are HP and both have recently been updated with the latest version of 8.1 and 33.0 Firefox Windows. On the desktop, Norton Toolbar still works fine. However, on the laptop, Norton Toolbar is disabled and the modules Web page has a message saying that Norton Toolbar is not compatible with Firefox 33.0. Why is this compatible on my desk, but not on my laptop?

Hello, according to norton toolbar is already compatible with firefox versions, including the current version. Please run the norton utility liveupdate repeatedly & until all components are up-to-date. Additionally, make sure that the toolbar is enabled under firefox > addons > extension thereafter.

For more information, please refer to https://community.norton.com/blogs/product-update-announcements/firefox-33-und-norton-toolbar

NOTE: Firefox 4 and 5 are in the past. Firefox 6 is the current version. From Firefox 5, the previous version is "abandoned" and you receive more security or stability updates. Updates to security and stability are included in the new version following.

    Now, to your question.

Product developers to install the toolbars in Firefox with what will work to determine the versions of Firefox are toolbars.

    • In general, only the toolbar is disabled in a new version of Firefox and the underlying application continues to function properly. You can post your questions / concerns on the forum of Trend Micro below of the details directly from the source (the developer).
    • Firefox version information are coded in the toolbars that they develop and only the developer can modify these compatibility information when they have completed their tests.

That said, all third-party developers know how/where to find the Firefox releases calendar and how/where to find the (Beta) versions of Firefox to use in tests of their products for the coming versions. The beta test will last several weeks, but it is the responsibility of developers to deal with changes in Firefox. Mozilla (Firefox) has made a concerted effort to encourage third-party developers, especially those who produce products of security (firewall and AV/AS), update their products before the new version of Firefox. A couple of vendors of security products were prepared on 16/08/2011 when Firefox 6 is out. Many are still working on their updates and do not seem to be concerned about the happiness/unhappiness or safety of paying or not paying (free version) customers.

  • I have Firefox 5.0.1 and a theme I want download says it works with Firefox 4.0b9pre - 7.0a1, but at the top, he says that he is not available for my platform. What should I do?

I just downloaded Firefox 5.0.1 and one of the themes I want to download and try says it works with Firefox 4.0b9pre - 7.0a1. Upstairs, however, it is said that the theme is not available for my platform. He arrived with a few other themes as well, but I didn't check what versions they work with. I don't know what this means or what to do about it. The theme is at this link: https://addons.mozilla.org/z/en-US/firefox/addon/bloomind-ft-deepdark-2/

    It is said:

'Bloomind FT DeepDark 2' is a theme that was created to transform the look of Firefox 4 for Windows users. It was specially designed for the seven, but the rendering is quite specific on XP and Linux (I can t test on MAC, but for those who would like to try on this platform, you can force the download and install it).

  • Java has stopped working with Firefox

I've never had a problem before, but now I can't get Java to work. I tried to use Google Drive with Firefox, but he said I had to activate Java get a feature to work. As far as I knew, he was already activated.

So I removed the old versions, then downloaded and installed Java, and now it does not work with Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox with no difference. Under modules, it says Java is enabled, but no site it doesn't recognize. Java site cannot check it out when I try to test it.

It's very frustrating because many sites do not work without it. I'm doing something wrong? It is installed, it is there, but it just didn't happen to Firefox. It works fine in other browsers, but I had rather not use other browsers.

  • e-mail no longer works with firefox

Yahoo mail no longer works with firefox. but there is no problems with yahoo mail when I use chrome. This problem started a week ago. today is 02/07/15

You can try the following steps in case of problems with web pages:

You can reload webpages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

    • Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button
    • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
    • Press 'Command + shift + R' (Mac)

Clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • FDM has stopped working with firefox

Free Download Manager has stopped working with firefox after I speedup firefox opening. (not after restart or update of firefox) Before that, I used FDM on firefox. I already try with restart firefox and follow-up of the implementation under the quiz "Windows Media or other plugins stopped working after Firefox update | Firefox Help", but none of them worked.

When you say after you speed up Firefox, do you mean you used the reset feature? You can tell because Firefox will create a new 'Old Firefox Data' folder on your desktop when you reset.

The Reset function deletes your extensions as part of the cleaning process. You probably need to reinstall FDM from its original source. Maybe the Addons site? https://addons.Mozilla.org/Firefox/

  • Telstra Australia tell me that I have to use Chrome, as their facilities will not work with Firefox. Why?

After spending literally hours trying to pay an account on Telstra Australia (that I just joined them, so it's the first installment), I finally gave up and contacted directly. I was told that Telstra services will not work with Firefox and that their preferred system is Google Chrome but Internet Explorer will not work.
I have used Firefox for a long time and I'm happy with the program. Specifically, I have everything set up to work with Firefox and do not want to change. At the same time, I want to have the convenience of paying bills online.
Can I load up, Google say, just one thing, or the program will then try to "catch" other functions as well?

Yes, you can install Chrome and use it for a website. "Recovery" Chrome as other functions on your PC, just don't let it not be defined as "browser default" If you are prompted during the installation procedure. In addition, I doubt if you'll have a problem.
