  Hi all

  I am replacing my old desktop and laptop with a new computer laptop is better than both. I'm a film student and I prefer to do my editing at home rather than the school so the editing capabilities are a must. I own the CS5.5 Production and I would build my laptop to match. I decided on an Alienware because they are the only ones who provide Nvidia cards in your laptop and provide a nice outside at a fairly reasonable price, and I am deciding between the M14x and the M17x. My main issue has to do with a video card - cheaper laptops come with a card Geforce GT555M with 1.5 GB memory DDR3 or 3 GB of DDR3 memory. Laptops the end superior have a Geforce GTX560M or GTX580M with DDR5. These higher end video cards enable the GPU acceleration? If not, is the update for laptop DDR5 more expensive?

  The expandable memory is also in question. What is the performance difference between 8GB and 16GB? It is better to buy the more expensive laptop for the ability to upgrade to 16 GB only?

  Finally, adding a port for external storage eSATA will make a big difference? I prefer to keep my external storage so I can move it to the school when I have to, and because I won't be able to get the kind of edition requiring storage in your laptop without losing another feature I want as an optical drive or portability.

  I'd rather with the cheaper, lighter, smaller M14x hardware differences do not make a huge difference. If they are, then I'll know what I need to do. Of course, everything would be much easier if the editing applications would support ATI cards. Thanks in advance for your help.

  I'm sure you already know very well that the video editing on a laptop has compromised, so the goal is to get the best combination of features and specifications. given your budget and tolerance to the weight and size.

  Concerning the GPU, the GTX 460 M and 560 M would have been working well, and while the most powerful graphics cards GTX great sound they are more difficult to cool and would probably be not as robust for video editing. Preferred DDR5.

  Regarding the CPU, you did not, but be sure to choose a quad-core 32nm processor. Even the slowest versions work well enough and will save a lot compared to the fastest CPU models in this series.

  About the RAM, go with 16 GB of a sudden course if you care about the speed of rendering (i.e. burned a DVD or Blu - ray). You can squeak by with 8 GB, but with prices of RAM today I have not suggested it.

  About eSata, I REALLY like it for laptop. Fast and very reliable. USB 3.0 would be a second choice and firewire 800, a distant third. USB 2.0 is just about the only useful to back up files on a bench of video editing.

  About the brand Sager is the first choice around this forum for mobile phones of mid-range ($ 1500 to $ 2500) and high prices ($2500 and more). Asus and MSI have offers that are more affordable, but have no eSata ports.

  Laptops multi pins are great. Some great Sager takes up to 3 hard drives! The ultimate video editing might be a start (about 120GB) SSD + matrix RAID 0 with two drives of 500 GB or 750 GB at 7200 RPM. If you go with a smaller form factor that can not hold so many readers, mini G-RAID of Hitachi is a little quick, very nice RAID 0 2.5 "disk solution talking eSata, firewire and USB (2.0 only); only downside is that you need to plug it into a wall outlet if you use eSATA.

  Finally, don't forget to watch the screen, not only the screen size resolution. Personally, I want to 1980 x 1080 or better, if I just changed on a laptop screen alone much at all.

  I'm building a dimension (the client) in a sketch of duplicate members. I use a rule of responsible for generation of parent/child dimension. I know that I need to have the full name of parents in this file. My question is this - full parent member name exceed 80 characters - and reviews are rejected.
  
  Question - is the name of the complete parent member must include all ancestors, or just enough to uniquely identifiable Member? I'm trying to find a way to make the names of members of less than 80 characters.

  It is not necessary to include all the ancestors for a full qualified parent. You can add the id or the name of the immediate superior level (ie., its name from single parent) to make it unique.

• Application Builder Question: How to get several .exe files in one version?

  I am trying to release a LV 2010 application composed of a high level VI (Main.vi), and a number of dynamically called live contacting one using functional global variables (and a few classic global variables).

  One of the dynamic subVIs (Second.vi) can in fact be used independently of Main.vi (and often will). I wish it were available as a .exe, but I would like to be able to communicate with Main.exe if is started after Second.exe. Is - it somehow possible?

  It seems to me that I must write two screws as independent applications (and release them as such, but in the same folder of the application) and find another way to enable the exchange of data between the two (which, I have no idea). Is there an easier way, I'm missing? The two screws as high level screws in the Build specification will do almost what I want, but not quite, since it in order to open the two screws little important if I want to run only the Main.vi or Second.vi only (and of course only show the single .exe file in the application folder).

  You could do this by using the arguments passed to the exe.  This document gives an example "past of Arguments to a LabVIEW executable".  I just think, you can create shortcuts in the Application Builder, but you will need to generate them buy a post running installation tool.

• Server and the deployment of Vsphere 5 build question

  I intend to deploy vSphere 5 in our environment. I have to store the virtual machine on a HP SAN. The original server build was spec'd to be a Dell R510 with 2 CPUs at 2.93 Ghz Intel Xeon X 5670 and 64 GB of ram. The server has 12 600 GB drives. As I don't no spec this server I think it is an exaggeration in the Department by car since I store my VM on the SAN. My plan is to use two servers ESXi 5 (one being the failover). I plan to virtualize boxes 3-5 and would like to have the option of high availability and vMotion, so told me to buy the Enterprise edition of vSphere 5 or the vSphere acceleration pack 5. What is the best recommendation in terms of hardware to use for these two servers, keeping in mind I'll use an iSCSI SAN HP for storage to the virtual machine. I was also told to install vCenter as a virtual machine on the failover, thoughts on this server?

  Finally vSphere gives me the ability to virtualize desktops as well?  Any help would be great.  Thank you in advance.

  Yes that's right - the more resources, you can provide to your ESX VMs servers more, you can run - these resources are memory, CPU, disk i/o and bandwidth - in my experience, people resources run first:

  (1) memeory - not having enough host memeory

  (2) disk i/o - plans only not a bandwidth sufficient disk - for example by using only a single HBA or place disk intensive virtual computers on the same LUN.

  Keep in mind with both technologies - VMware DRS will ensure the appropriate resources VMs and VMware HA will ensure that sufficient resources is available for failover - so there is no need to keep one of your hosts slowed down - it can be used for the production to ensure the proper functioning of the you VMs

  And in my experience, I was able to place 40-50 virtual machines on a host with 128 MB without any preformance issues

  Lately, I discovered that my version of windows 7 is not genuine.
  Is there a way to fix this without having to re - install windows because I don't want to reinstall my apps again or lose my data.
  Maybe buy a license online or something like that.

  You have Activation exploit a hacker installed in order to circumvent the activation/validation requirements.

  You must reformat and reinstall using the manufacturer's original recovery media.

  The construction of an update to our current free app this time with subs Entitlment and itunes via one account business of DPS.  We use the "subscription optional library Mosa∩que url" with our tiles to point to our subscription service and it feels like it is enough.  the banner seems excessive but is not optional its compulsory - should we really both and I can avoid having to create the banner assets, but still fill in the generating process of app?

  You must create an application of law to add a banner. I have not tried to create a right application that is completely free without a subscription. I don't think it would be worth the effort. I think that a better approach is to create a multi-folio with a custom library application. You can then create your banner in the library. See the site of the developers of DPS for more details.

  I built my own systems since 1996, and in general, I would like to do two things... buy a copy of the sales at retail (for portability) and run it through up to 3 systems before you buy a new.  Usually my builds contain only a few new parts, that I update a couple of times a year.  I never had problems with Win 3.1, 95, 98, ME, XP or Vista.  In fact, I always have an original game of 3.5 "diskettes for Win 95 and CDs for 98 and XP.  in 2009, I bought a laptop that came with Win 7 Home Premium.  (A Toshiba Satellite A215).  I had to replace the HARD drive in this laptop and he had done professionally in a store (I was not familiar enough with laptop Desk computer architecture vs, so he had to) and technology has made a minor repair job and installed a HARD drive new, unformatted.  He then installed his own (OEM/System Builder multi-license) copy of Win 7 Pro and only charged me for installation costs ($49).  He was and still is active.  On my desk.  I built 1 system in the last years of 7 (built in 2014) I used a copy of the OEM System Builder from Win 7 HP x 64 SP1.  Time for a new building... from scratch.  I bought a single copy of the version of OEM Windows 7 Pro x 64 key to a sale to the retail/wholesaler. This will cause me any questions?  (I intend to upgrade to win before July 10 deadline, but I want to get all moved from the old system to the new system first) Once I have all my important files transferred, I'm decommissioned from the old system to use parts of upgrade of the wife (she has an old system of 11 years with Vista still on it) as long as the Build for his own use my old motherboard, can I transfer my license on his machine? This would include a change in CPU? (He currently has an AMD Athlon X 4 860 K, but I'm going at it in an APU A10-7850 matched with a suitable for Dual Graphics GPU)  All this work will invalidate the license.  The SSD containing my OS will be part of its upgrade of the system, as well as the motherboard.

  I'm extremely tech savvy, but am not a PC manufacturer or an authorized, I just take advantage of construction machinery.

  One of our clients has 3 golf courses that are the same but in different languages.  They all want the 3 languages of the course 1 course, which includes 3 test post.  The user will choose which version of the language they want at the beginning and go through the course.  I can't figure out how to make the post test.  Users will need to view the questions and the results page in their language.  Also right that now users can review the quiz so this button to make a link to the correct language path.  Please let me know if you have any ideas without having to use advanced actions to build questions with a customized results page.  I use 8 Captivate, but we are upgrading to 9 so I can develop this in both.  Thank you!

  It is not that hard if you use the option support Branch (East in CP8). Who will do the quiz variables dynamic system, which is important, because only the questions emanating from the user will be used to calculate the Score, etc percentage.   I was (and will be once I confirmed) installation openSUSE 13.1 Ubuntu 13.10 host reviews.  "I chose to use Easy Install for testing, but something similar occurs using the ' I'm going to install the operating system later ' (i.e. WS sees the drive mounted sr0 as openSUSE but uses Windows 7 as the default name for the operating system (I have not previously installed Windows 7 BTW).)

  by taking the MAX (SURRO_PERSON_ID) for this person (surrogate key is the primary key for the table and is filled by a sequence, so the max will give the last disc
  for this person)
  
  I created a complex join in the RPD and since impossible to use as MAX aggregate functions in the expression to the RPD Builder, I want to know

  I am experienced in creating applications for the BlackBerry platform and am currently deploy a sample application with PhoneGap (Córdoba) with BlackBerry WebWorks for the BlackBerry 10 Beta (QNX) , without great success. I'm following the instructions in the guide of PhoneGap Getting Started Guide for BlackBerry , linked to their developers blog.

  Note that the org.apache.cordova function is not found, as well as all the features of blackberry.* .
