RPM package for the installation of Oracle 11 g R2 on OEL 5.2

Hello
I'm installing Oracle 11 g R2 on OEL 5.2
My Question is as package
libgcc-4.1.2
libgomp-4.1.2
libstdc++-4.1.2
libstdc++-devel-4.1.2
It should be Yes as mentioned in the documentation as well. But these packages are part of OEL 5.3 5.2 no
Ones on 5.2 are 4.1.1 versions not the 4.1.2 and the prerequisites check says failed.
It will be a problem if I force using those on the DVD (4.1.1). because if not then I have to uninstall all packages by default (4.1.1) and install the 4.1.2 version

Thank you

Salvation;

better re download the latest version so to do...

Yes, I agree..., it seems best to use the new 5.3 version than 5.2

    Force option also not working,

    I suggest you remove RPM libstdc ++ - 4.1.1 - 52 and then install the required.

    If I omit this rpm for installation package. ??.

    What version of this rmp? Please run below command:

    RPM - qa - queryformat "% {NAME}-%{VERSION}.%{RELEASE} ({ARCH} %) \n" | grep libstdc ++.

    Could someone please suggest with the necessary steps to proceed.

    creation of user Linux, installation of the rpm, then installing the software...

    any suggestion expertise is much appreciated...

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards

    Asking how to "get" oracle-RDBMS-server-12cR1-preinstall is not really logical. If you have a standard installation on the server to the latest version of Oracle Linux 6 update, all you have to do is:

    # yum install oracle-RDBMS-server-12cR1-preinstall

    RPM requires the configuration of standard yum string (oracle public yum) and the core Oracle UEK. Yet once again, the package does not contain software, but triggers the installation of the software based on the yum dependency checking.

    Yes... you need these packages. They are prerequisites for a reason. If you choose to ignore them, then you have a bad installation.

  • Minimum RAM required for the installation of Oracle

    As I am about to install Oracle 10 g on your laptop with 2 GB of RAM (PC is empty), I would like to know if 2 GB is enough. I ask because the Oracle documentation search, I noticed (maybe I'm wrong) for Oracle 10g, it is advisable to 1 GB minimum, 4 GB recommended while for Oracle 11 g, he advised 512 MB minimum, 1 GB recommended.
    However, even according to your experiences, are 2 GB RAM enough to work? I remind you that I just have to work for junior DBA training activities and so my laptop will not be a real server for Federatzion a large amount of data.
    I'll install this way Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Developer Suite 10 g (forms and reports) and APEX which should be ' ' light enough.
    My computer laptop operating system is Windows XP

    Hi Zahid,
    This OS is a version of Windows 7 home basic? It is not supported.
    You must install (or virtualize) a free version of Linux (openSuse or OEL): it would save a lot of time.

  • Utility to do validations/controls pre-required for the installation of R12?

    Hello

    ENV: Oracle Linux 32-bit 5.8, Oracle EBS R12 (12.1)

    Is there a utility of Meta Link that I can run to check if all the prerequisites are met for the installation of Oracle EBS R12 on Oracle Linux 5.8 32-bit?

    What is the name of the utility?

    Best regards

    Hello

    Regarding your checks of preinstallation of the original question, have look at GDR - health check / Validation Engine Guide (Doc ID 250262.1)

    There are sets of different rules for different OS that you can use to check if all the conditions are met before installing

    You can consult the mos note "R12.1.1: Installation of Oracle E-Business Suite and upgrade Lotus Notes version 12 (12.1.1) for Linux x 86 (Doc ID 761564.1)" and install the needed packages from your installation media (most of the packages are available on the installation media, oracle has provided a separate link for those not available)

    If yum does not properly check out this (you are on 32 I doubt there is one for 32-bit)

    I think you would have to remove and back up/tmp at all the less for the new permissions to take effect.  I would not have thought that it is a dynamic change that takes effect by simply changing the file.

  • Looking for the installation package "AcroPro.msi" - my computer says it is already installed, but I can't find or enforce

    I am looking for the installation package 'AcroPro.msi ".  I had already installed Acrobat Pro XI, but he seems to have disappeared, although the computer says it is installed.  Where can I find this installation package?

    I use Acrobat Pro to save documents as pdf files, mainly tax statements and the documents provided to clients

    Hi Billström,

    What was the Acrobat version installed on your machine.

    You can visit this link to download the version of Acrobat you have: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html

    If you have windows, click Start > in the search box, type Adobe Acrobat and wait and see if you have Acrobat that are listed there, or you can visit \Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat C:\Program Files (x 86) and search for "Acrobat.exe" or "Acrobat". He should be here if you have already installed Acrobat.

  • Regarding the Installation of Oracle BI Applications

    Hi all

    I was going through the documentation for the Oracle BI Applications, probably the old version.

    I. DAC has previously been installed as one of the components as well as the installation of Oracle's Applications of BI?

    Now, I have installed the Oracle BI Applications version 7.9.6.1. and the DAC is not installed with it. It is available in a package separate from the OTN site.

    Old Documentation says: "DAC installation is part of the * Oracle BI Analytics installation *", referring to what is said: what I've learned, it's there:
    1. "infrastructure oracle installation.
    2. "installation of oracle BI Applications.
    3 "Installing Informatica Powercenter.
    4 "Installation of DAC" in packaging separate.

    II. what does mean by * "installing Oracle BI Analytics?" It is part of all above mentioned installation or a separate installation.

    Kind regards
    Anthony.

    Correct, you must install it separately

    Documentation of the olive TREE is not very good, there a lot of ambiguities like the one you quote.

    http://rnm1978.WordPress.com/2009/07/30/what-is-Obia/

    Basically, you need to install:
    Informatica Server & Client
    DAC & Client Server
    OBIEE
    Metadata Informatica (repository)
    Metadata (repository) DAC
    Metadata OBIEE (repository RPD and WebCat)
