• Problem with host character face tracking

  Hello everyone - I am a newbie to character animation and was going through the examples of preview 3. I use a macbook pro and am subscribed creative cloud.  My problem is that when I click on the button placement remains fixed in the window of the camera, I don't get the red dots that follow my face - in fact, nothing seems to happen. So I'm not able to experiment with the Red Monster. Y at - it something I am doing wrong?  I opened the preview examples 3 by following the instructions in Adobe After effects.   Sometimes the latch points on bottom of objects (a poster on the wall for example) if she thinks it is closer to a face. Brighter and larger, your face is in the camera, the better.

  I have not personally heard a technical reason, the points are not displayed, but if possible, try on different webcam to see if that solves. You can also double-click on your face to set the laying rest as well, or use the menu 3 lines 'hamburger' above to switch to another camera.

  When I disabled the webcam in the BIOS the notification has stopped, but when I turned it on the notification came back again to the top. The unknown device is clearly the webcam.

  I updated my BIOS and tried the system restore.

  I also downloaded the driver for the webcam of http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK and have tried running that - + but it NEVER seems to complete the installation. + I have will continue to try to reload the driver and see if that helps, but from now on, I do not think that the pilot will help.

  If it is just a driver problem, someone could suggest how to get the driver to install really :-(

  Unknown device means that the driver is not installed.
  I think that the installation of the webcam driver should fix it.

  As face recognition also use the webcam, I recommend you to uninstall this tool as well as the older version of the software of the webcam.
  Both (or just face recognition) should appear in Control Panel-> software

  Now download both applications to the driver page.
  Start with the installation of the webcam driver:
  (1) unpack the webcam driver package

  (2) the TC30049700N.exe may also be decompressed (right click-> extract here)

  (3) now you should see different files exe, dll, and others attempt to run setup.exe to start the installation. If this does not work, go to Device Manager, mark (webcam) unknown USB device and install the driver pointing to the folder that contains the files of webcam driver. The system should automatically recover dll files.

  (4) restart the laptop and follow with face recognition software.

• Qosmio F750: Ghosting can mean faulty display?

  I have a quick question: I'm a little unsure if the effect of persistence I place on my F750 (model without glasses) can be the result of a defective screen. If I run the utility x-tune in the "professional" mode, I see a green clear picture by closing one eye and if I close the other eye, I indeed see a (supposed) red zone, but there are still some huge "greenish" visible areas. Almost the right quarter of the screen will flash green. If I set the effect such as told by the application, the effect won't get worse.

  According to the follow-up face window, my eyes is detected correctly and I use also sufficient lightning and distance of visibility.

  So, what is the experience of what other users get? Do you see areas clearly green and Red? How about ghosts in movies or games?

  I have a 42 LCD TV and a slight ghosting effect is visible... more inside display area
  I've been reading about such effect, and it's nothing unusual. Sometimes it s more visible on a black background.

  Not sure about your problem maybe you should get in touch with a Toshiba ASP in your country to check

  But the effects of ghosting are common for LCDs regardless of production or product...

  Hi again - about your question on cameras Canon/Blackmagic, here is the answer from one of our engineers:

  Short answer: not for live video, but you can use as input video files using something like ManyCam or followed the face in AE and copy and paste data from AE to c.
  Long answer, there may be applications that can take video input from a capture device that will allow you to "spoof" a webcam, make the way applications like ManyCam but I have not tried so I don't know if it is possible.

  I'm trying to find a simple way to subjects of mosaic in AE.

  If I understand what you try to do this correctly, there are two options. The first would be to set up the model with two copies of your film and a mask or follow mast to the top of the page copy of the images. Mosaic apply to copying albums hidden from your footage.

  The second option would be to use a copy of your images and an adjustment layer with the mosaic effect applied to an adjustment layer masks. You can also use a matte on the adjustment layer.

  If you follow the faces, there is a third option. You can use AE face tracker to create a mask that follows the face. This mask can limit the effect of mosaic applied to images. If you follow the faces that could be done with a single layer. Even if you animated the mask by hand (rotoscoped) you could do this with a single layer.

  Something like a face can give you all the tracking data, you need to move a mask or a shape layer and follow the movement of the object on the screen. If you are tracking something like a sign or a license plate, you can use track corners or Mocha to generate a form, corners or mask layer that will follow the action easily. If you want to track something like a person walking across the stage, then you can use RotoBrush or rotoscoped images by hand. It is the slowest method.

  Once you have the mask or the form created and following the action, you must use then this mask or shape as a track matte for the adjustment layer or a copy of your images, and then apply the mosaic effect. All that remains is to adjust the edges of the mask, so get the exact look you want for the edges.

  I hope this helps. Looks like you're new to AE and compositing. Let us know if you don't know what I'm talking about and if possible to give us an example of the sequence.

  A last suggestion. Editing and animation of the masks are quite simple in AE if you select the pencil tool and use the Alt/Option key and the Ctrl/Cmnd key modify the tool. Maybe this little tutorial that I threw together will help you a bit:

  It works very well for us. That being said, you should not use ResourceBundle.getBundle ("com.myapp.MyMappings"); in your beans. You should rather inject the bundle name, so the "myMapping' in your example and use:

  FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
  Resourcebundle bundle = context.getApplication().getResourceBundle(context, "myMapping");
  

  This will allow you to declare your Packs in one place, the file faces - config.Xml.

• How do I blur and follow the many faces in Premiere CS3?

  I have a video in which I need more of a persons face the blur. I know how to blur a face using a mosaic filter, and track matte key but I can't get this to work for other faces in the same clip that are moving independently of the first person. I watched a lot of tutorials, but they all only show how to blur a face. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Here's another way to do this, and in a way that I think is a little more tidy:

  1. Create a sequence called "MATTE" with as many tracks as sides you need to blur, plus one.
  2. Create an oval or face shape chart using the titration, Photoshop or other graphic software module. Don't forget that the oval is a pure white, with a transparent background.
  3. Remove your video clip on V1 and then drag an instance of the oval design on each of the remaining tracks.
  4. Position and animate each graphic oval over a face. If the people in the shot are not mobile, but the camera, you can animate the position of one of the ovals, then copy and paste the path to the rest of the oval graphic instances effect. Then, change the anchor point property to adjust the absolute position; the relative animation remains consistent.
  5. When you are finished animating the ovals, turn off the visibility of your video background on V1 layer.
  6. In your final movie, place another instance of your video clip on a track directly above the first. Drag the sequence MATTE BAC on the track above the clip duplicate. So if your original video clip on V1, V2 would be a copy, and the MATE nested sequence will be the V3.
  7. Apply the Filter Blur/mosaic and adjust the settings to your liking at the occurrence of clip on V2. Add the matte key track effect and set the matte V3 (or anywhere where your MAST is) and set the parameter of Composite using Alpha Matte. Immediately, you should see matte work on the track.
  8. You can also apply a blur (for example, blur accelerated) to the element nested MAST in order to soften the edges of the matte a bit. Adjust to your taste.
  9. If you need to adjust the position of one of the 'faces', go to a sequence of the MATE and tweak it. Changes will automatically appear in the final sequence.

• OS3 and auto return to look at the face

  until the upgrade, if I was looking at an app, weather for example and then lowered my wrist, the next time I was looking at the watch is automatically back to the face of the watch, not the weather app. Now, this does not work and I can't seem to find the setting to choose this behavior.
