  I am trying to find a solution to a problem on our network.
  We run several kiosk machines that allow customers to print documents and web pages. However, we find that we are wasting a lot of ink because of the user frequently sending the same print job on the printer.
  Yesterday we had someone print more than 70 pages, because they just keep clicking on print.
  I tried looking for an add-on that would solve this but was not able to find one.
  My question is this, is there an internal setting that can be changed in firefox to limit the number of prints is trying to say once every 30 seconds, or even a way to make a dialog box turns on screen saying that the print request is currently dealing and does nor print before completing the task at hand.

  Sorry, there no setting in Firefox to avoid that from happening. Once the user sees the "native print dialog" box (which is seen when you Ctrl + P for print), the operating system and the printer drivers are here.

  I saw something similar to that on kiosk / PC rental stores Office of FedEx, which inform the user of the cost per page, the user wants to send to a printer, and when the user click again to the same pages again, he asked if you want to spend another $x.xx to print a second copy. Would not too different to simply cut the printing of multiple copies of the same document and warn the user of this action.

  My advice is to discuss it with anyone who put in place these kiosks to be with.

  It is very very very simple.
  Select the State of the active or active history
  Include columns, the name of the account, active, quantity and once again the amount.
  In the fourth column of quantity, please apply the formula (partially fx) RANK ('-quantity "." ") Quantity per account. The account name')
  After the application of the formula, you select the filter lower at 11.
  You can hide the fourth column.

  The RANK function would rank each asset based on their quantity. We apply the sentence per account. "" Account name " while the ranking is done separately for each account name. We then apply the filter under 11, while only 10 records are displayed in the report.

  Once the number of records is limited, then you can apply the pivot accordingly and get the result.

  I use BEEP with Siebel. For example, my XML has a set of 50 activities. These activities are of a different type and different date. Now, I want to show:
  
  5 activities the newer type A in a table.
  5 activities the most recent type B in another table.
  5 activities the most recent type C in another table.
  
  I tried using the position() method, but since I use the same set of activities 3 times it will not work. The reason is that after you sort the activities in descending order of creation date, I could end up having 5 recent activities of type A digit 4, 9, 17, 23 and 31. That's why I can't use <? If: position() < 6? >.
  
  The 'worst' solution would be to create a link of multiple values in Siebel for each type of activity and prior filtering of activity types in the object link, so I could use the solution above to limit the records per table. But it is really more practical in my opinion.
  
  All welcome ideas on how to do this inside the model.

• good way to get the number of records in a block

  Work with form 11g.

  I want to know the amount of files that are currently in a block, being that the : system.cursor_record you could get if you issue a built-in last_record .

  It's the kind of thing that should be easy to get with a get_block_property, but I looked for the property and I have not found.

  There are various fo get_block_property properties that relate the number of records, but none seems to fit what I need. The best is QUERY_HITS. It works great when you run just a query (showing all records), but if you add or delete records, it retains its old value, so it doesn't help.

  The trick of last_record is very dirty (and implies the navigation, which is worse)... Can you think of something better?

  I tried with a glimpse at the point and it works, but I don't know if it's reliable, and it is still too expensive for something that should be in a property

  I was hoping that it would be easy, but it didn't turn out as well.  I need two things:

  1 - the total number of records returned in an ArrayCollection collection

  2 - the total number of rows in a DataGrid

  Explanation: I have an application that gets data using CF and returns that data to a DataGrid control.  I need to get the total number of records returned.  I then filter or query the data and complete a second DataGrid with a subset of records.  Then, I need to get the number of records in the second DataGrid.

  Can anyone provide a good example of how do these two things?

• Is there a way to limit the number of prints to a PDF through security features?

  I've searched and searched, with no response, so I think there is no way to do it. But until I asked, I'll never know.

  The publishing and media company that I work creates reprints of articles for our magazine customers. Generally, they are printed through our printer and delivered to the customer in the amount that they ordered. Asked me to see if it would be possible to limit the number of prints to a PDF document which would be sent to the same customer. Then they can print the document on their own (on a desktop printer or local), but only to the amount bought it (that is to say-200, 250, 500, 1000, etc.). I know that print, edit, copy, and save functions can be disabled through the security in Acrobat, but a certain amount of maximum print can be defined? And then once it is printed to this quantity, the disabled PDF?

  I'm guessing that the answer is no, for several reasons that I can think of, but not bother to mention to keep this short.

  Do you need a specific account? Or an approximate count is sufficient? Do you use the RBO and CBO?

  If you use the CBO and want an approximate count, column NUM_ROWS USER_TABLES should give you what you want.

  If you need a specific account, you will have full scan all tables. You can automate this process via SQL dynamic, i.e.

  have you tried to disable the 'downspeed by mode of appeal"in a configuration of Bandwidth?

  try disabling the "downspeed" by call OFF mode under VCS config-. > bandwidth--> configuration.

  This will not allow the calls get the downspeed but it must block because of insufficient bandwidth.

  Ideally, what I want is a set of whole time series data (intervals may change) to a given number of points on average. The keys are timestamps and the values are the data that it takes on average. I need to count the number of records between two timestamps so that I can divide this figure by the number of points I need and data on average. What is the best way to do it?  Or should I keep the timestamp constant intervals and use the RECNO access method?

  BDB is an integrated db and there no internal counters or statistics you might grap to use for this.    You will have to do it manually.

  You can create a cursor, grap the records you want, whenever you get the next card that you bump a counter.

  If you are using RECNO, you can use a slider to obtain the number of registration (DB_GET_RECNO), and if all that you data is in

  sequentail records with no missing documents, you can find the total number of take the last rec #-original rec # + 1 to get a count.

  If you pass the SQL API, you can issue a SQL query to give you a count.  Select count (*) where...

  As you enter the data anyway, so better perhaps to count records as you go along.
