run a script to a page

APEX 4.2, Oracle12c Oracle Linux

I have a button on a page of LOVs cascading and I know how to refer to the final, I use the id of the list, something like P40_DSET.  The button should on this page or on a white page subject to start an existing load script SEGYLOAD. LOADDATASET (P_DATASET_ID = > 'P40_DSET', P_MODE = > 'INIT').  I found a way to put the script

in the APEX put button in place, but I would prefer that to initiate implementation using the name, essentially from another process or it works online but by name, do not put code in the APEX.  How to do this?

I enabled Debug, you click on the vision correction and got the following at the end of loading;  It seems that that process but I couldn't out put_line in this newspaper. The loaddataset procedure uses dbms_output.putline for its release summary so I see a lot of lines of the procedure generated in this debug log?  I got the success message of the post on the screen process, but the process is too fast for her to have actually run.

Referring to a suggestion in your other thread, the procedure has no bad exception handling which could hide all these errors?

    Hi dmrmultimedias,

    I guess you are referring to the script error using the installer online.  If so, the DPI setting has been identified as the culprit.  If the DPI setting is not set to 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% installer will return the script error.  If your DPI setting is set to something else, please set it to one of these and Setup online should work.  The team is working on a fix for this.

    To check/change the DPI setting:

    1. start the control panel and go to control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display

    2. in the left menu, select the custom text size (DPI)

    3. in the custom configuration Windows DPI select 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% in the menu drop-down

    4. Select OK

    5. Select apply

    6. open a session/disable

    7. online installer should now run without displaying the script error.

    This is planned which will be fixed within two 2 weeks.

  • 31 Firefox should run Greasemonkey scripts on POST pages

    The update of Firefox 31 broke Greasemonkey 2.1 features. Greasemonkey scripts don't work anymore on the pages that are displayed in the form of a response to a MESSAGE event. Works fine, once again, when I go back to 30 of Firefox.

    Steps to follow:
    -Install https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/
    -Install https://www.eclipse.org/jdt/ui/scripts/jdtbugzilla.user.js
    -Go to https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/query.cgi?format=advanced

       => page is correctly tweaked (e.g. "eclipse bugs" header image removed)

    -Select some filters (e.g. Target Milestone M1 4.5), and then click Search

       => result list is not tweaked (e.g. bug summaries are underlined)

    The first action of the script is the following, which is not executed on the MESSAGE page:
    Console.log ("Running jdtbugzilla.user.js we" + window.location);

    Classified https://github.com/greasemonkey/greasemonkey/issues/1977 for this, but the bug might as well be in Firefox. Maybe same question as https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1012688

    With the news of https://github.com/greasemonkey/greasemonkey/issues/1970 , I could write this script to workaround for 31 FF:
    https://www.Eclipse.org/JDT/UI/scripts/jdtbugzilla-start.user.js

    This model could help others to create workaround for their broken pages:

    // ==UserScript==
    // @name        Remove history.replaceState from buglist.cgi
    // @description Removes history.replaceState from buglist.cgi to work around https://github.com/greasemonkey/greasemonkey/issues/1970
    // @include     https://your/page*

    // @version 1
    // @grant       none
    // @run-at document-start
    // ==/UserScript==
    history.replaceState = function(data, title, url) {
    	console.log("caught history.replaceState(" + data + ", " + title + ", " + url + ")");
    };

  • Why do I get the message "a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding." You can stop the script now, or you can continue to s?

    I have 3 windows firefox with several tabs in each, but the main (and sometimes others) gel and prevent navigation showing a box indicating
    "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding." You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script ends.

    "Script: chrome://fctoolbar841468a1d7f44bd384e6bb0f13a06c64/content/fctoolbar.js:1.
    To stop the script? I think it's not to do with Google Chrome but FF model internal to web pages. Thus, a deficiency in the FF, inability to cope, but with what? As far as I KNOW, all software is up-to-date. I have restarted FF, restarted the laptop, but has not changed the FF problem. What is the cause?

    This is probably caused by a toolbar that installs on your version of Firefox. Most of the scripts that begin with chrome:// are extensions.
    I think that this is very probably the Nectar Search Toolbar , which raises the question, because it seems to be the only toolbar installed on your computer.

    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

    If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

      click Help

      then select restart with disabled modules.

    • In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.

    If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
      (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

    When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

    If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

    2. who is the operating system installed on the computer?
    Method 1:
    You can run the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library.

    Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library

    Your problem is probably not with Windows XP, but with the Dell Support Center software.

    You may contact Dell for assistance, but they like to sometimes just reinstall XP as a "solution" to the problems.

    You can uninstall the Center Support of Dell by using Add/Remove programs and get the latest version (32 or 64 bit) from here:

    http://www.Dell.com/content/topics/global.aspx/services/en/dsc_home?c=us&l=en

    If you are not sure what version to download, to do this, and we will help you discover:

    Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

    Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.

    There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

    If you see this message in Internet Explorer, you can also configure IE does not ask you if you want to debug a faulty script, someone else.

    Given that most of the people have no interest in debugging the scripts (unless you are a developer of a script and it's your script), I just do not get bored with things from Internet Explorer.  You can run through scripts that have problems in your regular WWW surfing too, so disable the IE script debugger is usually a good idea, no matter what you decide to do about your Dell Support Center.

    In Internet Explorer, click on tools, Internet Options, advanced, and check the box:

    Disable script debugging

    Restart your system and try the web page again to make sure that the fit sticks...

    Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • Running SQL scripts on different databases

    Hello!

    At my work we have many databases on a server. I have to make a request so that users can run the application on a selected database SQL scripts.

    So my question may be separated into 2 sections:

    1 - is possible to let users SQL scripts run directly from the application?

    I think a database to create a page that displays the list of all the SQL scripts, that we want to use, and when you click on a specific script name in the list, it asks something like "Where the database you want to run the script?", and then, as confirmed by the user, it would show results running the script on a different page.

    is 2 - possible to let users choose what database to run these scripts?

    Any information would be helpful, I'm at the beginning of the project and am not sure at all about how to proceed, or if it is at all possible.

    Thank you!

    Fallen_Kaede wrote:

    Thanks for the quick response. I confirm that we are talking about databases on a server.

    The request is to "debug" to other databases. For example, be run scripts to the locks on the list, to show the different indexes on a table, etc. to help diagnose problems.

    It looks like the 'users' are DBA who should use OEM/Grid Control to do so.

    1 - is possible to let users SQL scripts run directly from the application?

    Lol the only way to run scripts in the APEX is the use of the SQL Scripts for SQL workshop component.

    The key word in your question is 'application '. SQL * more and Developer SQL are applications that allow users to run SQL scripts on the desktop. Scripts SQL is an APEX integrated application that allows developers to run SQL scripts on the web. However, there is no documented way supported for end users to run SQL scripts in a custom of APEX application that you created. Therefore, rethink your approach. Rather than create an application APEX runs scripts, you must convert the scripts in PL/SQL, APEX packages, pages, components and applications leverage features of the APEX and reports, graphics and interactivity (e.g. exploration links; timed refreshes etc.). This will give you a user experience improved, beyond what is possible using static SQL scripts.

    is 2 - possible to let users choose what database to run these scripts?

    The APEX applications would exist on an instance of the APEX in a database and access other databases using the database links (which can have a performance impact). It would be possible to create a LOV based on the view of the USER_DB_LINKS dictionary and use in a selection set to a global page list to provide a control to set the current context of the database. Region data sources will have to be generated dynamically in the packages of PL/SQL use the links from relevant database based on this value LOV.

  • Best way to run a script from a script

    Hello world

    I'm looking for running a script from an After Effects script, so far, there is aftereffects.executeScript (scriptContent) who use eval to run the script. The problem is that it uses eval so it is not really sure and he is slower. So I would like to know what is actually used when we file-> Script-> Run script file.

    As seen in the Javascript tool Guide CC page 168 in the section QAnywhere Corss-DOM.

    aftereffects.executeScript(theScriptContent); // Doesn't work with a script which as comments AND the script has access to my scope

    In addition, if there are comments like / * * / or / * / in the script I want to run, it no longer works.

    So, what is the best way to run a script from a script?

    If you want to evaluate a whole script file, you can use $.evalFile (file, timeout) - see description in ESTK object model viewer

    To evaluate a bit of code, you can use eval, that's for sure.
