Run as administrator command prompt using the exec.vi system

I have an application that will not open unless it is executed via the administrator command prompt.  I found a way to add a shortcut on my desktop to open (Administrator: elevated command prompt) but do not know how to open programically this program.  Does anyone have a quick and easy solution to this?  I want to open the administrator: elevated command prompt and then start writing my orders.

Thank you!!

  • Call a VI that uses the 'exec.vi system' with the LabVIEW runtime as adapter

    Hello

My TestStand sequence called a VI that includes a call to 'exec.vi system '. When I try to load it in TestStand and if LabVIEW adapter is set to the runtime, I get an error message «Unable to load Vi...» ». If I change the map to the 'development system', then it works fine.

Is it possible to use the 'exec.vi system' in a VI that is called by TestStand with LabVIEW run-time?

  • How to raise the exec.vi system administrator on Win7

    Hi guys

I build an installer to our application and want to inject the driver OR not required for the program interface with our material in Win7... I'll use pnputil.exe to add and install our signed driver... But pnputil will work only if cmd prompt is amounted to administrator (being administrator is not enough by using cmd)... This is easily done in the environment of win7 (ctrl + shift + enter to the search bar after typing cmd) but y at - it a command that works on win7 I could call to enable this rise happen without user interaction? I wanted very much as for create a post installer that calls the installer of NOR raise the program, and then call the function pnputil since the exec.vi system, which leaves the system with the installed driver and a plug ' gaming experience to the user.

If you use the option "run command line after installing" Installer, I think that it runs the command line with the same rights that the installer had, that rights should be admin high you're looking for.

It worked for me in the past to win7.

  • Error 2 to the Exec.vi system.

Try to copy a file PRN in 4 k on a USB printer on LPT2.  The command "copy/b ggg.prn LPT2" worked very well for a prompt cmd but gives error 2 when connected to the Exec.vi system.  He suggested that the memory is full, but calling sysexec is literally the only thing in VI.  I restarted the laptop (Win 7-32, LV 2011, 4 GB of Ram, Dell E6410) and re-run the VI before anything else - same result.  Tried to put the command in a BAT file and call that - same result. The VI and the prn file are saved in the same directory.

  • Cannot read the CD after you have used the active file system

I use the active file system in Vista to save my work on CD - R. I have often refer to these discs, and occasionally add other files. Once the disk is full, I start a new.

After referencing files on a disc, I pushed the button as usual. The disc was not immediately ejected. A window on the toolbar open and told me to wait and finally ejected the disc.  When I tried to use the disc again, I could not access the data. I know that the data is still on the disk. In 'Computer' I see '327 MB 702 MB free space'.

If I click on the drive or try to open it, I get a message "no answer." Finally, I get a window that says to "drag files to the disc to add data. Vista think it as a blank disc.

Is it possible to access data on the disk, so I can save up to a new drive? Also, what hurts which has caused this problem? I don't want to do it again.

    Thank you!
    Bob

    Hello

Check the drive in another computer, better check in several. CD and DVD door, especially
RW. If the question with a single disc? There are companies that may be able to recover the
data if it is quite expensive.

Very good idea to have redundant backups.

    I hope this helps.

  • Defragment the computer freezes, chkdsk has revealed no error. Manual operation of defrag.exe help as meeting the same gel administrator command prompt

    Hi all

Bit of a strange problem with Windows 7. I can't get defrag to work on any level. Running manually using a system Accessories/tools works for about 20 minutes before the computer hangs completely and requires that the start/stop button to press. I have run chkdsk and supposedly there are no errors on the hard drive.

I tried running as admin - c:/c defrag.exe command-line prompt and several variations of it, but all have problems about 20 minutes in the defragmentation. Also tried in safe mode.

The strange thing is that the computer does not display instabilities during normal operation. My tuneup software has identified that the hard drive is very fragmented. I do not think that the third-party software it will solve as Tuneup has a command defragment and which freezes some 20 minutes after the start.

    Any recommendations?

    What tune up software?

Its likely that dubious Tune Up software is the cause of system problems

  • command to bring up a command prompt at an administrative command prompt

I did too much work with Windows XP lately. Now, I'm working on a Vista system troubleshooting, and I continue to start a command prompt, run a few commands and then says that I don't have enough privileges even if I am logged on as an administrator. Is there a command that I can use command line so that it becomes a guest of administration for the times I forgot to do a right click and "runas admin".

Basically, I'm looking for the equivalent of typing "knew" under Linux, although XP and 2000 taught me this connection as the admin is, as logging as root. This is no longer the case without user control gene, I want to do on this system, because I don't trust of the user that I'm fixing the deactivation.

Really, it's amazing how everyone is so excited for you say 1000 ways to get to a command prompt by closing the one you have and by creating a shortcut to admniistrator runas.  You're not a fool, and you know how to do this.

There's no equivalent of "su" I've never been able to find.

Your command prompt, you can type: runas / user: machinename\adminuser cmd, but who will always ask an admin password and opening a new window cmd...

This is sure of what you want, and it is faster than messing around with a shortcut.  It is not always exactly answer your question, but maybe that's good enough.
