    Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

    This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

    This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

    -Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
    For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
    Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

    For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
    Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
    your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
    Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
    Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

    Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
    with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

    Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
    Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
    BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

    Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

    Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
    presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
    in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

    Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

    Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • How to run cmd as administrator by default in Windows 7

    I use the command line for automation using selenium using a batch file. But in windows 7 when if cmd is not running as an administrator, at the launch of IE9 it gives me an error and my automation execution fails.
    So, I thought that I have would always "run as Administrator" in the cmd.exe Properties sheet. However, this could not.
    Then I thought that I would change the permissions for cmd.exe to "Full Access" to the members of the local Administrators group (including myself), so I have would be allowed to change the properties. However, this could not either.
    I'll have to use the 'real' administrator account (you know, that I have to activate it first and then turn off after) to do this?
    Or y at - it another way?

    You can use the Task Scheduler route, run CMD high (without the UAC prompt).

  • cmd.exe is still running as an administrator, how do I stop?

    I have a few machines here where cmd.exe (command prompt) is still running as administrator and some machines, it does not work.

    Now, I know that it is the opposite of what everybody is asking. But how can I do to cmd.exe does NOT always work as an administrator.

    I checked all the usual places, properties, shortcuts, none of them had the "Run as Administrator" check box selected.

    I found a registry hack here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-security/always-run-cmdexe-as-administrator-the-journey/eff735b4-9c65-444f-a943-e1707f74cd14 (#13 answer) but I checked the registry database and it is not set.

    Is there another registery hack that someone used here?

    There must be some "secrete location" that is defined, I guess a registry hack has been implemented.

    You get this screen when UAC is set to its lowest level.

  • Questions of queue printer after clearing by running cmd prompt

    I'm dealing with an old xp computer based.  I work in a chemistry lab and some of our instruments are systems of inherited types.  Out of everything I just this morning and I have a paper stuck in the print queue.  Not really big a deal, but I was not in a place to turn to reset the entire system (you will need to disable analytic system also although it will not re-sync to pc, unless all the pieces are propelled to the bottom to the top at the same time).  Then I typed and ran the standard .cmd guest found on the site of tech from microsoft here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946737

    The problem that I use here is that a step in the last paragraph is not actually happens.  The command is on a constant loop, creating the problem of the printer is not not able to connect to the system and allowing the impression to continue.

    So, I did this several times on the systems of the House over the years and has never had any sort of problem ever.  This isn't exactly a disastarous near future problem but certainly is soemthing that I need to fix in the medium and long term.

    I even tried the most obvious solutions such disconnect, hard reset, etc. as well as just to add the printer again setting the copy default.  All that serves to do is allow me to create documents printed in our analysis software, but the command to actually have the printer put some ink on the page is ignored.  He goes to the queue, but it is there for the moment, 35 minutes.

    A reflection as to why this might be happening and how I can fix this problem?

    I can get you some specs if you need, such as the version of windows, etc.  All I can tell you offhand knowledge is that it is a very old system.  The printer used is a HP LaserJet P1006 and the instrument is fixed to it is approximately 27 years.  The computer is a Dell Optiplex 755 I have beileve generated somewhere in the area from 2006-2008.

    Note If anyone QC of Microsoft coming on this post:

    SignIn upward for a microsoft after that account was a nightmare.  Took me to create accounts with two email addresses, more than 35 trying to connect until the password is recognized and I have the key to time (not) sent to my phone at least 3 or 4 times beofore I could finally check my email.  Let's not even start on how this site basically does not work in chrome which is my preferred corporate browser and IE is troubled and dysfunctional with slow loading times.   Just an end-user of entry to be considered.

    Thank you all.

    I don't know what you mean by that:

    The command is on a constant loop, creating the problem of the printer is not not able to connect to the system and allowing the impression to continue.

    but there is no real need to create a command script as described in this article.  Just open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK) and type the commands in hand:

    net stop spooler {press Enter}
    del/q '% windir%\system32\spool\PRINTERS\*.*' {press Enter}
    net start spooler {press Enter}
    exit {press Enter}

    FYI, the above /Q switch is optional: it means "go ahead and delete without asking confirmation to Yes/No."  In addition, the above command removes just all files in this folder - but there should not be any files other than the files *.shd and *.spl anyway.

    Enter orders manually must work or give you an error message more significant than executing the script.

    Microsoft has created one of its automated FixIt tools to remedy this situation (this may or may not be the one that appears when you go to the article you quoted):
    FixIt 9662904 ("Lighting mode" = do not check the box to restore the values by default the spooler).  You can read about this tool and what it here--> http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2012/02/24/microsoft-fixit-for-printing.aspx?Redirected=true

    One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

    Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • Why Microseven Video Clip for Windows 8 should be run as an administrator

    Can not record video clips in Windows 8, the system alerts that "must be run as Administrator". I installed all the software supplied with the camera IP and mentioned in the statement, but may not always successfully save videos to Win 8 64 bytes system, can someone tell me what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Luwen,

    Microseven M7RSS recoding on Windows Server software is only take Windows PC/server (Windows 7 and Server 2008 or later version) 2 to 5% CPU when it records 16 cameras IP Microseven. New video recording M7B15 and M7D12 HD cameras will require more hard drive space. Windows server 2008 or later version is installed on the big C: drive. Software M7RSS of record records the video content of the IP cameras on the C: drive. C: driver is installed OS as well, it is protected by the privilege of the user and administrators required. In this case, if you need to run the M7RSS software as an administrator to write the content of the video recordings on the C: drive. Otherwise, you can use a hard drive or drive partition hard different external drive instead of C: drive.

    For Windows 8, it runs as an administrator if the video content are recorded video on the C: drive. You can also view information about the compatibility of Windows 8. Information is available on the compatibility Windows 8 Centerfor M7RRS.

    Program compatibility is a mode in Windows that allows you to run programs written for earlier versions of Windows. Most programs written for Windows 7 also work in Windows 8, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all.

    If M7RSS is not compatible with Windows 8, you can try to install the same in compatibility modeand check if it works.

    If the problem persists, you can contact the device manufacturer for assistance.
