I can remove it, but can't do anything else and have no idea why there is a problem or what it is... but I seriously spent hours trying to rectify the situation. I'm ptaying that someone has encountered the same situation, or knows how to fix this for me.

  Try the following.

  First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your desktop.

  Flash Player Uninstaller.

  Once the download is complete, close all browser windows and start the program uninstaller.  Once done, restart the laptop.

  Then, download and install Firefox , then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You can deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before download. 

  Close all browser windows before you run the installer of Flash.

  Start Firefox and see if the video play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same link Adobe Flash above to get a command prompt to install the ActiveX component.  Once completed, restart Internet Explorer.

  I am in the United Kingdom and using MEDIA CENTER on windows vista x 64 and I find that I have big problems getting data from TV stations. There are downloading, then others like bbc and itv that simply say "NO DATA".

  I downloaded Firefox 22 on my laptop but in various websites. that is, shipspotting.com, You Tube, My Yahoo, etc. I'm unable to use the upload on these Web sites and bookmarks function does not work properly in My Yahoo Web site.

  When I'm in Mode safe, I could use the download for shipspotting and YouTube functions; but, when I restarted in normal mode the old problem returned and send photos, videos, etc. was not possible.

  Iyogi experts agreed with me that the security program total defense that they convinced me to install was too tight, too much confinement and the cause of my internet problems downloading. Total Defense has been uninstalled, expenses and a virus protection hopefully less invasive has been obtained, free of charge, from Microsoft.

  Browsers, Chrome, IE and Firefox works fine now.

  I have a Satellite Pro M10 and my infrared does not work. I downloaded the zip file with the drivers from this site. Then, I uninstalled and reinstalled, but it always happens in the Device Manager under "unknown - SMC IrCC - Fast Port infrared (IR Module: HP). (with an exclamation point). When I look at the properties it says under device status:

  This device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

  Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

  However, under Driver Details is said:
  C:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\smcirda.sys

  I extracted the zip file in my home directory of c:\downloads\infrared.
  whatever I do, it does not now. It worked when I bought it, but I have too many things on the system for a new installation. Which brings me to another question. Is it possible to re - install windows without losing all your data, etc.? I did it with other systems (95,98) Windows. But it seems that the Toshiba recovery disc means any wiping.

  Afteer upgrade to Win 8, the WiFi of my Satellite L670-128 has stopped working properly.

  The connection only works some time, usually only a few seconds before the connection is lost.
  After a few seconds or minutes the connection is restored, just soon to be lost again.

  Cannot download large files or even to see larger photos on normal web pages. Is there any Win8 driver for Broadcom coming 802.11n network card, or should I throw one 2.5 year old computer in the trash?

  Buy a usb-wlan card is not an option, as wireless mice is already "permanently" reserving one of the three usb ports and wlan card it would be just to the left...

  To my knowledge this L670 series isn t Win 8 taken in charge and this means that there is no special Win 8 drivers for this device, so I put t think you will find an another Win 8 driver for this WLan card.

  But do you really want to throw this laptop in the trash just because the wifi does not work properly running Win 8?
  The device was working properly under Win 7?

  I would recommend running a few Wlan test.
  For example; Disable wireless encryption on your router and Wifi connectivity with the open network do that just for testing purposes, perhaps you will need to change the type of encryption to test.

  First download the audio driver by using the links below and save the installer to your desktop.

  Once the download is complete, right-click on the Setup program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation - ignore the warnings that you can see everything that is an earlier version.  Once the installation is complete, restart the laptop.
