Running applications in Windows 8 material control Office

I was considering upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8.

However, currently, I run a number of gadgets that I use on an ongoing basis on the right side of the screen.
The purpose of the most important gadgets are for the CPU, memory cards and other surveillance equipment. This was very useful when an application is defective or the PC had a virus attack.
I have to choose to upgrade to Windows 8, (where the gadgets are not allowed), I can easily foresee a scenario where the PC could be faced with a problem, and I wouldn't be able to jump out of the desktop mode to enter the mode formally called subway or elsewhere to see what is happening.
Is it possible to run Windows Store material control of applications on the right side of the screen when you use the desktop mode?
Note: Please forgive if this is post in the wrong forum - I wasn't really sure exactly where it must be post.

You must resolve the problem, which leads to the lock upward. Some of the gadgets that you have running will be add to your problem and maybe cause that they sap resources vital too. I was very careful about used gadgets, and never had any performance that constantly updated the indicated.

Processor, memory and network gadgets are among the worst, and utility in the past that showed a machine slowly buckling under the weight were actually deadweight.

Arrest them all and write down how your computer works more until it begins to freeze. Use the Task Manager to determine what is causing slow downs.

Open the Task Manager, click process, and then click the heading of the CPU until the process using the most time processor are grouped together at the top.

The system idle process must be running the mid to high 90's. make a note of what is beneath him and then look for what the processes are to determine if you need.

You can't stop everything, so don't even try, unless you want that your computer freeze of course... :-)

  • After uninstalling printer Windows Installer and Microsoft Office error "this update package not could be opened"

Original title: Windows Installer and Microsoft Office problems after you have uninstalled the printer

I tried to install more than one printer, a HP Photosmart C4280 by downloading the drivers and updates on the HP site. I uninstalled the printer after it failed to scan a document and I had no more use for it. Then the trouble started. When I tried to open some programs (iTunes, Skype, etc.) for the first time after the uninstall of the printer, a window "Windows Installer" popped up. After you have configured Windows Installer, the program would open normally. However, when I try to open any Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.), Windows Installer appears, but it turns into a window that reads:
"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer update package. »

Microsoft Office programs are open at all, and I desperately need my programs of Microsoft Office to work even faster. I would appreciate it if Windows Installer will stop trying to configure when I open a program also. Can someone help me please?

  • Application as windows asynchronous service

Hello, I build a LabVIEW for Windows Application to run as a Windows Service, Applications it has several layers of asynchronous process, which most of them works very well, but I'm having some trouble.

If I run the Application as an executable file (double click on the application icon), it works fine, no problem. Now if I run the same Application as a Windows Service, some of the process is not working properly, these are

    • A service Web of LabVIEW that runs with the executable built
    • A DDE server that is a library that already includes the LabVIEW

It seems that these processes, which takes place in parallel with the main application does not properly with it is to run as a Windows Service, I hope that any expert to help me with these

    Hi Carrasquel,

I guess that these processes interact with user interfaces and other files of session basis and so on.

Since VISTA, the policy is applied to the services Windows means that more strict and you can not directly interact with the desktop.
