  Any help or suggestion as to why I have multiple copies of large processes running on the machine?  As I wrote it, I sign in, seems to be fine for one but 2 minutes a lot of process appear repeatedly and slows down the computer to a crawl.

  These two files listed are not at all on my admin profile and the machine works fine in my admin profile.  Even with open Photoshop, the CPU is only about 50% under my profile.

  Try to check/change the entries in startup with Autoruns from Sysinternals, which should work on the limited account to see its startup items.

  The Daiagnostic HP of end of month on a HE - 210Y Pavilion 64 bit Win7 works extremely slow and finally stops at the end of 63%.  No other programs are running.  Had to cancel because of the stall.  No test failure wasn't indication for the part that ended.  This is the second consecutive month that has happened.  Prior months - the test ran successfully and quickly.  What is the solution?

  30/04/14 - the monthly diagnostic completed without error, test and it was completed in maybe an hour of time.  I did not observe the process - the computer was ON and I completely forgot the test of end of month.  When I came back, he had successfully completed in maybe an hour or two.  This is in contrast to the experience last month when he never completed and finally stalled after several hours.  (The computer worked very well except for a few issues download in Google Chrome using Realplayer).

  Hi, I was faced with a slow MacBook Pro two years ago. It was incredible for the first year and I've been making sure to not save files too heavy on that and have only a handful of applications.

  I've just cleaned new (I checked through almost all alone on my files for what I could get rid of) and it of still slow and crashes regularly. It also takes forever to connect. I recently encrypted disc, which seems to have made it is still slower. I use it to edit video and design, but they make crash all the time. He also says that I have 250 GB in apps (that is what takes up the majority of storage), while I only did less 50 GB.

  I back upwards on the time Machine and I was wondering if I should wipe and reinstall, but I fear that the encryption could cause me to lose access to the files, and I don't know if I can simply restore my back upwards or if I should reinstall everything manually.   My Early 2011 Macbook pro worked extremely slow for a few months.  He is lagging in the start-up and opening of all applications.  It also happened to coincide with my Wifi, refusing to recognize my Macbook, he repeated that a device was already on the network with the same IP address.
