RV016 more Port DMZ

Hello

I shoul have more then a DMZ Port on my RV016.

It would be possible to define spez VLAN with 4 Ports and connect the DMZ Port with a 50cm Patchcord on the 4 Ports and so having the DMZ on the other 3 Ports too?

and the DMZ area must come a Hurrican electric IPv6 IPv6 range how config it?

Good day

Vincent

Hi Vincent, DMZ and VLANS are 2 different things and this unit has 1 DMZ port and will remain as such.

If you need other ports trying to connect an inexpensive switch or hub to the DMZ port can connect what you have on this device.

You cannot redirect the ports more. If it's all on a PC, then you can use the DMZ Host option to forward all ports (except those transmitted otherwise) for your PC.

  • RV042 Dual WAN Port DMZ not acquire an IP from ISP

    Hello

I am trying to replace my router with the more robust RV042 of current load balancing. Installation seems simple enough. However, I am having an issue gets an IP address of the DMZ port in load balancing mode.

The two WAN is the same ISP and is both DSL, using the same models of DSL Modem. #1 WAN port works perfectly.

Indeed, when an independent piece of equipment is installed in the #2 DSL modem, this gives an IP address instantly...

The two DSL lines only require a MAC address to get their IP addresses, and none of the static values are allowed, perhaps to test only.

The issue of intellectual property has been seen before. I can't find any reference to the iton this site.

    Thank you

    Steve

Glad to hear that it works.

The "save the settings and restart" is not all that rare, although it is not typical for your model.

The obligation of power off is certainly not normal. He told me that some sort of electric lock has occurred. This could be a unique thing, caused by a discharge of static electricity, or it could indicate a manufacturing defect. If this is the first case he did re - is probably. If it is the latter, then it will need a trade at any given time.

In any case, it seems that the MAC address index has been at least partially useful.

Good luck, somone will be here if you need assistance once again.

  • More ports numbers in ACL taking AAGR more?

    Hello

If I use the permit tcp any any eq 1 8 10 15 instead of below:

permit tcp any any eq 1

permit tcp any any eq 8

permit tcp any any eq 10

permit tcp any any eq 15

With the help of all the port in the same line numbers will use more ACL AAGR? According to my understanding, if we define a range to an ACL line, which would reserve a portion of the AAGR for this range, but there is no if booked AAGR, we define a single port as in permit tcp any any eq 1.

Then, will be permit tcp any any eq 1 8 10 15 be also part of the AAGR just like using " " 1-4range "" and I have to take into account the use of resources while using this?

    Hi Vivek,

I see. Well, honestly, I don't know for you. These questions are extremely specific to the platform, and each router platform and switch supporting ACL can implement these things differently.

A note: I see you are using a router ISR G2 3945. These devices, to my knowledge, do not have an AAGR and that they do not become ACL in a hardware dedicated. SRI (x 800) and routers ISR G2 (x 900) are software-based and ACL is processed on the CPU. Specifically on these platforms, there is no need to worry about the use of the AAGR - because there is no AAGR there at all.

  • Ports DMZ and VCenter server 4

    Hello

After the upgrade to VCenter 4 2.5, I get alerts about my ESX on the DMZ.  Alerts, said the status of the host as a substitute from green to red and later to red back to green.

None of the virtual machines on those ESX hosts are actuallly down so I suspect that VC is not abling to check the status of the DMZ ESX via the firewall.  Anyone know if there are changes in the communication ports in VCenter 4 versus 2.5?

    Thanks in advance,

  • What port bulk charge and reset the field data, using SSL?  Are there more ports beyond 7002 just?

Hi, we have short components configuration problems in an implementation of SSL Linux 64.  The rest of the components work, but not the load mass and reset the data domain.  We believe that this could be a problem to port because the environment is locked by defalut.  7003-8000 ports will not be open by default.

On the side of the design, we have the arguments defined VM as below, which appear correct.

    Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore=/disk1/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/endeca_integrator_service_domain/security/ssh/endecaServerClientCert.ks-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword=***-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=/disk1/Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/endeca_integrator_service_domain/security/ssh/endecaServerTrustStore.ks-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword=***

    any thoughts?

You can configure the port ranges that short Server will use.  This applies to both ports of the primary for web services (usually 7001/7002 for Non-SSL/SSL) as well as the underlying ports that are listening on the areas of individual data.

Almost everything is going through the ports of short primary server (7001/7002) to lock things should not be a problem, as the "traffic" would come from the local computer.  That said, by exploiting the essential ingest functionality requires a direct contact between Integrator (or Integrator Server) connection and the data domain.  If the ports are not open and inclusive tent ingestion of a different area, you'll get failures.

As with anything related to SSL, I recommend always get your sorted environment (open ports, firewall, etc.), then activation of SSL.  If you are not sure about ports AND you are not entirely sure of the configuration of SSL, it can be very difficult to solve the two simulanteously.

    Hitman47, welcome to the forum.

All cards SATA add-on I've found require a PCI Express x 4, 8 or 16 in order to work properly.  Your motherboard has only a PCIe x 16 location and three PCIe x 1 connectors.  Therefore, I don't think you can add a map to your system.

  • Setting up a DMZ on ASA 5505

I have a Cisco ASA 5505 that I am trying to set up a web server on a demilitarized zone. I have the DMZ interface works, but I'm not able to get access to the server connected to the DMZ interface. I have been looking for a week now on google, but have not met the installation...

I have the following interfaces (do not use real ips)...

    WAN - 123.123.100.1

    LAN - 192.168.0.1

    Port DMZ - 172.16.8.1 - 7

Web server - 172.16.8.2 connected on port 7

    ASA version 8.2 (5)

I'm looking to have access to the Web from the inside via RDP server and access the external clients, more than 80. It must also communicate with a DB server located in another facility through a VPN.

Any help would be appreciated. I was pulling my hair out on this one.

    Thank you

    Mike

Generally speaking, inside the DMZ is allowed by default. If you have any access list applied on your inside interface you would need to add the entry to the DMZ address of the RADIUS server on tcp/3389 (rdp).

Incoming outside traffic would need a static NAT and access list.

Web server to a remote site via VPN would need the addresses of remote DMZ network defined in reference to the access list of the cryptomap used by the VPN. You also usually have a NAT exemption for that traffic.

All of them are of common use cases for an ASA. If you can share a version sanitized for your running configuration, we might be able to see what's missing.

  • Configuring the Network Ports

    Hi all

In the inventory menu-> networking in my vSphere client 4 I see that someone has set up several 'networks '.

How to understand which physical ports, they are assigned to, or understand how to route traffic.  I know if I have a DMZ network and a NETWORK card out of the demilitarized zone, how to make a virtual machine use this port?

    Thank you

    C

Networking is via the use of virtual switches. The physical network are assigned to the virtual switch and the law as "uplink ports. There are three types of virtual switches:

    1. Internal only Virtual Switch - this provides networking remains completely inside you ESX host
    2. Virtual switch with the one uplink port - provides not only the networking between the ports conencted to the switch but provides also for the traffic to a physical network
    3. Virtual switch with 2 or more ports uplink - provides not only the networking between the ports conencted to the switch and provides for traffic to a physical network, but also allows for the grouping of NETWORK cards

All the networks for your ESX host going thorugh virtual switch management traffic and the vm. There are two types of ports that are connected to the virtual switch:

    1. VMkernel Port - used for your ESXi including vmotion and iSCSI host management traffic. In an ESX host, it is also called the Service Console Port. This port wiill assign its own IP to uniique
    2. Group of ports in Virtual Machine - your virtual machines will connect to the virtual machine port group - it does not get an IP address as the IP {address iss asasociated with the virtual amchine

When you look at your network in the client VI the right side will be the uplink ports - the physical posrts in your ESX host. The left side will be the or groups connected to the virtual switch ports

Is there a security risk which was cuased by doing this?

    Hello

Made by me anything or anything to go by uping vswitch vmkernal ports

Not really just more ports to place virtual machines.

The place, I started to 256 ports and I'm not sure what that who bought us?

Just more ports for placing virtual machines on the vSwitch.

Is there a security risk which was cuased by doing this?

Since there is no granularity with the VIC to i ' VMs vSwitches DMZ admins, etc. You can use the switch ports to limit that, if the vSwitch is complete so there is no way a virtual machine can go overboard.

Other than that, I don't know of security issues to have too many switch ports.

  • Reflections on the single port USB - C on the new MacBook

Personally I'm not a fan. I hope they put several on the new MacBook Pro. What happens if you plug in a monitor and an external hard drive during loading and also a key usb and SD card?

There are products from Apple and other companies that give you more ports and capabilities that include docks for a desktop computer.

I'm fine with things as they are, but I also have other systems. For me the point of the MacBook is something with size and weight more like a Tablet and capabilities beyond a tablet. My MacBook is new, but so far the high scores.

So far, my experience with the MULTIPORT USB adapter - C is good.

  • Satellite Pro M70: What USB 2.0 Port Replicator is compatible?

Would be grateful if someone could advise me on the purchase of a USB 2.0 port replicator.

I think the 3 USB 2.0 ports on my laptop Pro M70 are not enough, and that's why I want to buy a USB 2.0 Port Replicator.

The site of the Toshiba shop specifies USB 2.0 Port Replicator II (UK) with port network, part number: PX1173U-1PRP, price: 49,93 GBP.

It has 4 USB ports 2.0, which would give me a total of 6 USB 2.0 ports, which would be the absolute minimum I want. (It also has 2 PS/2 ports, 1 serial port RS232 and 1 USB 2.0 port network that takes in charge rates of 10 / 100 Mbps).

Can anyone tell if it is powered by the laptop, or by it's own adapter?

Unfortunately, the Web of Toshiba site has advised that it is currently out of stock and are difficult to get in on all the time, as they are the subject of a sort of "green manufacturing" test.

This prompted me to consider buying a replicator USB 2.0 ports alternative and all I would prefer one with more than 4 USB 2.0 ports, and in fact 6 or more USB 2.0 ports would be preferable. I'm not really interested in other types of ports that are often provided with the replicators of USB 2.0 ports.

I would be grateful if someone could recommend/Advisor at a replicator USB 2.0 ports alternative that would be compatible with my laptop Pro M70.

One of my concerns is how the port replicator USB 2.0 Port is powered. I think I would have preferred that the unit is powered by its own adapter, I understand is 5 Volts with 500 milliamps for each port, rather than to the laptop (probably would be less tax on the laptop, with less heating).

    Thank you
    AlanCB

I can't comment on the question whether the Replicator you mention has its own power source, although I suspect, he does

However, I have a satellite Pro M70 too and with a similar problem and wanting a hub to connect to all my external printers, Sandy etc using just one connection, I buy PA3390E-1MPM - a hub of Toshiba, Audio/USB multimedia center, which goes a step further and provides a hub not only for USB sources , but also for the speakers etc.

It has its own power supply to the unit and connects via USB 2.0 to my laptop. It is also stackable with the Toshiba Gigastore 250 GB USB 2.0 external hard drive (PA3392E-1MPS) which I also use for backups, storing external data etc.

Had the two units for 3 months now and everything works fine. I got headr of some problems with people in loss of access to the hard drive, but it seems that it was never if it has been disconnected by pulling the cord out usb, rather than make a ' Safely Remove Hardware to disconnect the USB device and so far have had no probs at all

It has 4 ports, more port network and connections from the speakers for the configurations 2/2.1/4/4.1/5.1 full, more Creative software like drivers, more remote control useful to control audio devices. Oh, and also a Surround sound, and EAX

Maybe a little more of your option, but worth it in my opinion. If you can't find it on the Toshiba site I have purchased from www.insight.com

    Hope that helps

  • Maximum number of EA4500 of port

    Hi all

Background: currently have a WRT320N, think about upgrading to an EA4500, assuming a feature has been improved: Port Forwarding.

Script: Currently, I have a router WRT320N, and while he "does everything we need" it presents a restriction that comes in the way: limits on the number of ports address.  In the Panel of port forwarding, it has 15 total lines: the first five lines can be activated for specifically named services (SMTP, FTP, etc.).  The last 10 lines are fully customizable in that we can define the name, port and Protocol.

The problem is that 13 total ports that currently, I need to pass, only one is listed in the fixed list.  So, unfortunately, I can only use one of these first five rows.  I have completed ten custom lines and still need two additional ports (for now, may need down the road).

Try to be creative, I thought maybe I could just more reverses the Port Range Forwarding page and add a line or two.  The only problem: it's bugged.  I found that if the simple Port Forwarding list is filled, then the Port Range Forwarding entries do not work properly.  For example, if I wanted to port 12345 and 12346 forwarded to 192.168.1.5, they work very well with two entries in the single port forwarding.  However, if I delete those, add two lines of port that I need has passed (the single list is new) and add a port forwarding 12345.12346 range, they do not work properly, only ports are closed. The work of singles, the beaches don't.

Question: The EA4500 has solved this problem and either allow more lines (i.e. 20 customizable inputs instead of 10), or, better, does it just a button [Add entry] to allow additional lines to create?  In the current day and age, where a single device (for example an Xbox) can take four lines, a limit of 10 lines is quite sparse.  Comparing it to some competitors, for example the D - Link DIR-825 (aging, but still a lot) allows you to add as many as you want.

I realize 'expensive' firewall SonicWall have virtually unlimited customization, but I not need many additional features and don't want to spend $ 350 on a "high-end" firewall to solve the problem you need more ports open.

Thanks for any help you can give!

    -Dan

I can't speak for the ea4500, but on my e4200v2 I 15 customizable ranks in more the 5 rows together:

As the e4200v2 and the ea4500 are essentially the same from what I've read, I imagine that the ea4500 will have the same thing.
