I have CS6 I've updated. I also downloaded and installed a new version of Camera RAW plug in V9_1_1 and still I can't open my new Panasonic DMC_TZ80 RW2 files. I can open my GF1 Panasonic RW2 files.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Jaybee
I don't see this camera listed under ACR9.4. No, Adobe won't do an update for CS6. They stopped for CS6 to 9.1.1 ACR ACR update

Can someone help me understand how to access such RW2 files saved by my Lumix LX100 in Lightroom 4.4?
Hi Edward,.
4.4 Lightroom does not support files of Lumix LX100 RW2. You need at least 5.7 version of Lightroom to access these raw files.
Or, you can use free Adobe DNG Converter to convert raw to DNG files, and then import the DNG in Lightroom.

RW2 CS5 and Lumix [cannot open files Panasonic Lumix GX7 Raw in CS5]
I have a Lumix GX7 which produces RW2 images. How can I move them in Adobe Photoshop CS5 on my iMac v. 10.11.6?
The site does not list my camera as one of those taken in charge by CS5, and I only went in circles trying to get more specific information.
The GX7 is only supported in Camera Raw 8.2 or later version that is only compatible with CS6 and later.
Camera Raw plugin and Adobe application compatibility
You will never be able to open the GX7 RW2 Raw files in CS5.
Options:
- Upgrade to CS6 (not recommended. CS6 is too old)
- Join the Cloud
- Buy Photoshop Elements to open Raw files
- Free option: download the Adobe DNG converter, batch convert all RW2 files to DNG format, and then change the DNG files in CS5. An extra step for you, but no extra cost

I have PSE 12. Even if a total amateur I had good results using my 60 d Canon CR2 files. I recently bought a Lumix ZS40 for a walk-around the camera. RAW files are the RW2 format. I can get good results for the color and brightness, but if I change the images becomes very grainy. No idea why this would be? Camera? File format? PSE does not like the RW2?
What your seeing is in camera treatment applied to the jpeg vs no treatment in camera in the camera raw RW2 file.
Camera raw Adobe does not use all the processing in camera that can if applied to files camera raw.
(if Panasonic provides all software, the image may look better if the camera applies all the noise reduction in files camera raw)
Anyway, you can use the noise reduction in camera raw for good results.

First pro does not open the RW2 files
Regarding the RW2 RAW files go, as those of my Panasonic DMC - GH3, I need generally to adjust in Adobe Camera RAW before doing anything in any case or they are too flat. So I just save in PSD and then I can use it any way I want.
If you use Lightroom, then export. If you use Photoshop, then just save as PSD. If you do not either, then start. Seriously. Manage your photos with Lightroom is a real time saver.
However, what cannot be done is to import them into Premiere Pro. But you really wouldn't want to unless the file has been accepted as well. It is easier to save a PSD.

I understand there is a problem just now and he advises leaving the RW2 files as they were. I think that the current state of the result RW2 files into a size much larger file during the conversion to DNG. This issue is fixed in the 2.4 update or on the cards for a future update?
Sorry if this came until I'm aware of this problem is largely a deadline to Panasonic.
The problem only traffic that my knowledge concerns G1 converted to TIFF files. That being said, I "think" you can make reference to previous versions of Cr/Lr having to convert to DNG linear (treble the size). If this is the issue that you are referring to the good news is that convert the RW2, DNG files in Lr 2.4 now results in them being smaller than the original.

I am considering buying a NikonD5500, but one of the comments said that RAW NEF files are not compatible with lightroom. is that correct?
[Ask in the correct forum allows... Left generic Cloud/Setup forum for forum specific program... MOD]
Not correct.
Nikon d5500 has been added RAW NEF photos are indeed compatible with the current version of Lightroom (6 Lightroom or Lightroom CC 2015)

Opening files to the ACR with Lightroom
I'm looking for a way to open the JPEG and CR2 files in Adobe Camera Raw from Lightroom.
Any help would be appreciated.
You cannot, or at least not easily. You want to explain why you want to do this? Remember that the Lightroom Develop module uses the same treatment as ACR engine, so not sure what would have won by being able to open files in ACR directly from Lightroom.

Impossible to import predefined files, I already used for Lightroom 5
Cannot import predefined files, I've already used Lightroom 5. I use the trial version of 5 LR, the cause of the problem?
i_m_eric:
OK, you can try to import them into the bad module. Gifts (depending on where you have to) must be installed in a particular module. When you try to drag and drop a "Preset" on LR icon in your dock, it should automatically install in the right place.
I would like to know if it works!

Can I record a Photoshop6 dng file for import back into Lightroom 4
Can I save a Photoshop6 dng file for import back into Lightroom 4. I don't understand why this is not simple.
Hello!
Format DNG aims to be a universal formats of files for files camera raw: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/extend.displayTab2.html?promoid=DTEHA
You can save a DNG camera raw without problem.
Just to go the low left corner of the interface hand and select "save image".
(as explained in the help files here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/creativesuite/cs/using/WS91C1E0BD-9600-42b2-8EBE-1E012ED61058. html #WSB0DC278F-B3DF - 4a 60 - 88BC - B3D6A852C242 )
Or you try to save a file edited in Photoshop as a DNG?
For what purpose, exactly? A TIFF, PSD or PSB file can have a raw file, saved as a smart object (to allow a subsequent reprocessing in Camera Raw) and all the pixels / editing of vector layers intact.
If recording maximize compatibility, it can be opened in Lightroom for cataloging and editing, if necessary.

Lightroom 5.7.1 LF1 Panasonic RW2 file to DNG conversion
I use ACR 8.7.1. LR opens RW2 LX7 files very well, but insists on LF1 to DNG raw files conversion. Adobe reports that gross LF1 is supported, but no joy. What I am doing wrong?
Lightroom is not force the conversion to DNG. In the import dialog box, at the top, is "Copy as DNG" highlighted? If this is the case, simply change it to the copy. Lightroom can only convert the files to DNG for raw formats it supports. If Lightroom cannot force the conversion to DNG of this camera.

Lightroom does not recognize my. RAW RW2 files on new install
I installed Lightroom on my laptop to be able to edit and view pictures on my next trip. I was as well store the images and the Lightroom catalog on an external drive for access on both my desktop and laptop. However, Lightroom seems unable to edit or export my RW2 (RAW) files and said that "the file is not recognized by the assumption of raw in Lightroom.' when I open them to develop. I took these picture on my Panasonic DMC - G7 to the RAW and JPEG formats.
Any help would be great!
Gabriel
Lightroom is the 6.0 version, this version does not open your camera RAW. You need a newer version as shown. I gave you the link to download the update of.
8.1 for Windows is version 6.3, which is not relevant here.
