S - Video capture with Premiere Elements

I've been using Premiere Pro 2 for some time and have always been able to capture video from my Sky Box or video recorder with my Matrox RTX100 card using the s-video inputs.

I recently bought a camera with HD (Sony NEX-5) capabilities and purchased Premiere Elements because my old PP2 will not recognize HD.

PE does not recognize my Matrox card, so I can not download any more.

Does anyone know how to download EP from a VCR or a TV?

Thank you.

In general, I find it better to download/video capture in a file using the application of origin for each device and do not use PE9 to capture.

I have an old camera to DV tape and a strong memory HD camera and use different software supplied with each camera to create the files on my hard drive.

The old tapes Sony DV SD camera has a video input which is ideal for capturing composite video VCR in AVI format.   The Sony software debtor can capture live directly from the tape using firewire, as he does not know if the DV tape or VCR plays.

Only so I use these files in PE9 and I never hurt to mix .h2ts and. AVI formats.

You must keep the original software that is most appropriate for your capture device (unless PE2 does a better job anyway).

  • Lag/rendering with Premiere Elements problems

During my studies, I was with Premiere Pro, with whom I could work (though I've always been under the impression that I'm playing with a little more than the tip of the iceberg). After leaving University, I looked out for another video editing program, and since most of the comments stated that Premiere Elements has been a good choice for non-professional video editing and certainly adequate for everyday use. So, I got a copy of PElements, which was pretty cheap compared to its big brother.

However, after trying to edit two videos in one (the same scene taken with different cameras), I must admit that I am a little disappointed.

The biggest point of contention is the terrible lag. Agency was already overwhelmed by the people, but they did not nearly unworkable program. Then I started to make the two video tracks, that would take about 4 hours for a simple 11:30 (2 x) minutes of video material.

I used the following for this system:

    Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2180

    2 GHz

    4 GB of Ram

    Windows 7

    32 bit

Video files, that I worked with were already changed to Avi using the following conversion programs converted camera cassette versions (I had to convert because for some unknown reason, my old Premiere Pro has refused to work with AVCHD or vlc.tod - files, so I did not worth to try it here).

Free Video Converter V3.0.0.0 (Koyote Soft)

    Output Avi Format

    MS-Mpeg4-V2 codec

    Any Video Converter (MPlayer)

    Output Avi Format

    Mpeg4 codec

So, my question would be: is this normal? I guess, if anything, items would be faster than Pro because it is less complicated, but appearently I was mistaken. What is the reason - is the obsolete system, do I have to use special presets for a video clip or is the format of data file I used to blame for either or both of my problems?

(other questions are cut-editing tools and color are much coarser than those of the body, but I guess this is intentional)

Your gun shoots in a variety of formats. If you want to edit in Premiere Elements, you should shoot only in MXP or FXP mode. (Leave the Everio out of the mix for this part of the experiment, since these cams have their own unique challenges.)

You should then beyond a Premiere Elements project using the project settings for stereo 1920 x 1080 AVCHD full.

Use the elements first get the media / Flip and AVCHD camcorder to import video from your camcorder to your computer and place the video on the timeline. You should not see red lines above clips. You should also see pretty good performance when you work with it.

Also, your computer may be low power to work with this type of video. Hi-def video can take a long time to render, particularly on a dual-core computer. But converted to a different format using another program will not improve things a lot unless you know for sure your perfect product converter Type 2 DV - AVI.

In fact, you can produce a Type 2 DV - AVI from this video AVCHD with Premiere Elements. Just place your AVCHD videos on this once and then go to the action/computer/AVI and select it as the DV PRESET. The video it produces should work very well in a project set up for widescreen DV. It will be the standard definition rather than hi-def - but, if you plan out your last video in standard definition (for example, online or on DVD) you might as well work with it in this format.

But as I have described above as your experience. Try not all high-end and do not mix the Everio format in your project again and see if it improves things.

Once find you a clean and efficient workflow that works with the best video formats, you should see a significant improvement in performance.

But for now, stay away from third-party video converters. They seem to be working against you.

  • Any advantage of using Photoshop with Premiere Elements (instead of Photoshop CS4)?

Soon, we are about to buy a Mini-DV with Premiere Elements camera. We currently have Photoshop CS4. Question: Is there a technical advantage to buy a copy of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements? Are there specific tools in Photoshop Elements that would make video editing more easy than using Photoshop CS4? Thank you.

The biggest advantage to using Photoshop Elements with Premiere Elements is that you can transfer some projects — namely slideshows - from one to the other. In other words, you can start a slide show in Photoshop Elements, and then send it to Premiere Elements for the finishing and DVD release.

But, if you have CS4, I wouldn't bother with Photoshop Elements otherwise. It will feel like a toy compared to the pro version.

  • Quality of frame rate is low when my Xbox has recorded video on Adobe Premiere elements 13

Whenever I try to import a record Collection Master Chief, it comes out all the glitch in the search. I record with my HD PVR 2 games Ed Pro at 1920 x 1080 p 60 FPS, but with this capture card, it is able to record to it, but then falls the FPS up to 30 images/s after you save the file.

The video is seem to have problems with the framerate. When I look at my images recorded on Windows Media Player, it plays very well. No no tear, no problems with the pace. The fades of when you die to the screen goes black and then spawn yours isn't looking for lag. But when I put in the first 13 items, quality decreases enormously.

I have visited several page layouts. I tried. 1920 x 1080 p MP4 and YouTube HD 1920 x 1080 p 30 fps. None works well. Even after doing a quality test and download to YouTube to see if that fixes it, it still has the problem. I also tried to lower the FPS, and none of them does not seem to work.

I was told that it had to do with the fact that Adobe can't handle 60 FPS, but when I got the trial he worked for Forza (running 1080 p 60 FPS on Xbox as well). The only other video I tried so far on my purchased version is The Crew, but running at 30 FPS.

    Computer: i7 4710 2.50 GH/z laptop, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA 850 M

In addition, another problem is that the audio is disabled. But it's something else that I don't notice after registration. It's as if the software can not handle this record at all. Can I get a refund from Adobe (I bought at a discount of $30 about 2 weeks, return on their website) and get their latest version? Although I don't really want to get a monthly test. Or I have to change the settings in my recording studio?

    CarbonCamaroSS

You can make a copy of the original project and see if what follows is a quick way to the question...

Click on the file where you have your video and audio related and select unlink video and Audio on the shortcut menu.

With audio selected, hold down ALT on the main keyboard to the computer, and press the arrow key right or left. Each tap of the arrow will push the audio 1 frame. If you press the Shift + Alt of the main keyboard to the computer and press the right or left arrow key once, every tap of the arrow will push the audio frames 5.

  • How properly I crop a video in Adobe Premiere Elements 10?

I'm trying to harvest and videomerge several video clips for Youtube covers, and I got regarding the videos of 4 of the 5 videomerging and cultures. The average video gives me a lot of trouble since I have cropped it much and adding videomerge causes small videos being blocked by the blackened parts of the average vid. I'm so confused! I just want videomerge cropped area, not the entire video. Is it possible to crop it properly so that the video borders are ONLY on the cropped area (see second pic for example)? Right now, video borders currently resemble the first photo.

I was able to get the borders around the culture for the second picture by clicking on the tab of harvest in "edit effects". However, he returned to the first photo as soon as I try to do something with the vid.

In addition, I apologize for your question on the elements in a Premiere Pro forum. There is no option for a Premiere Elements forum :/ You can do what I'm trying to do with Premiere Pro? If I can't find a solution and Pro cultures it correctly, I could try to upgrade.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Just happened to me on the effects rendering order. Don't know if elements give you tree/layer effects, allowing you to move effect upwards or downwards in order, but if moving, the effect of merger below the cropping effect can issue.

First renders the bottom layer first and then makes the layer above it and it superimposed makes the top layer and layer it on top and so on. For effects, first returned in each layer of the top to the bottom.

  • Free disc of Premiere Elements with the new camera. Installed on the pc and have shortcuts for items and items first. The serial No. work with Premiere Elements, but not Photoshop Elements. Why is this?

Hi, I'm new to this bear so please with me. I have a free disc of Premiere Elements with a new canon camera and install it on my pc windows 8.1. After installation I have a shortcut for first elements and a shortcut for the elements, I guess that first for the video and photo elements. The drive came with a serial No. who worked with first, but when I opened elements, he asked for a serial No. but when I tried the same series only.  It says this serial No. is not valid for Adobe photoshop elements. I'm something wrong, I am missing a serial number, do I have to pay to use the side elements (photo editor), and if so I don't understand why he loaded the two programs on a disk I thought it was a big split in video and photo program.

    Help, please.

Photoshop elements and first elements are two different programs (as you know).  they have different serial numbers used to activate them.

If you were supposed to get both with your camera, you should have two serial numbers: quickly find your serial number

However, is it possible that you had only to get a serial number of elements first and photoshop elements was provided as a trial (to see if you want to buy a serial number)?

  • Date and time do not appear on the video captured in first Elements 9.

Is it possible to get the timestamp to show up on the video captured from an older model mini Sony TRV18 camcorder DV?

I can see the stamp date and time during playback of the video from the camcorder, but no time stamp appears in the clip mode capture first, or on the captured AVI file.

I have the first Elements 9. If it is not possible in first 9, any suggestions for capture software where can I get the date stamp and time would be appreciated.

    TKS.

This isn't a feature or a Premiere Elements.

However, you will be able to your video using a program called DV Date stamps.

  • Sony HDR - HC9 problems with Premiere elements 9

If I have problems getting my HDV camcorder recognized by Elements 9.

When setting up my project I choose the correct settings to my knowledge (PAL HDV 1080i 25) but when I go to import media from him he told me there is no connected equipment. It is found in the regular DV section but not in the HDV format.

When I set it up to be a DV project it has no image on screen when importing media (probably because it is recorded in the HDV format)

I am only using the trial version to make sure that it aorks all before you buy. I would like to use this software, because that's what I've used in the past, with older cameras etc.

Someone knows how to solve this problem, or what may be the problem?

You mentioned that Premiere Elements recognizes your camera when get you the DV camcorder media, correct? This means that your camera in the camera settings are on DV instead of HDV.

You can check this by going to the options in the menu of your camera, then switch to set camera and check the settings of the video recorder. It should be instead of DV HDV.
