s2715h refurb - LCD panel damaged in transport, outside 30 days

S/N: CN-0PP92G-74445-484-754 L

Dell s2715h monitor

I bought 5 identical refurb monitors DELL OUTLET on 07/07/15.

The boxes arrived and went well, except a box was physically smaller.

Unfortunately, I waited until the 09/04/15 to open and to set up, and then I noticed that the smallest box had no foam on one side of the screen. Of course, although there is no visible damage, the LCD screen under the surface is cracked and shows a black spider and colored lines.

I double checked that damage was internal by trying the entries and the various cords and swap the power supply with one of the others.

I called assistance under warranty, and

1. they say that it can be exchanged for beyond 21 days shipping damage.

2. they say that I have ZERO warranty, even if the site says 90 days when I ordered.

3. they say that if I had a warranty, damage would be considered CID (consumer initiated) because I didn't figure it out until after 21 days, so it would not be covered.

Is there something I can do?

In fact, I paid only $155 for this monitor and I have already invested 3 times in my time on the phone with customer service.

Thank you, Chris. I persevered through a few other emails and phone calls, showed them the warranty online and the * no USA * call center reps finally decided that I was right - they even sent the sales department to seek clarification on the "90 days".

Monitor replacement is mailed. Thanks again!

  • Control LCD screen flashes on and outside

    Hello
I have a 6 yr old HP w15e LCD monitor, it is quite old. But recently, it's showing strange things. Whenever I turn on the power to the monitor with or without the CPU video input, continuous screen blinking on and outside (I think there are two seconds between the two slot and power off).
I tried different power cables, but still screen flashing. So help me to record this thing.
    Thank you.

    Hello @shan678,

I understand that your w15e HP LCD monitor continues to blink off and off and you seek help to fix. I provided you with a few steps, you can try below:

Step 1. Unplug the power cord at the back of the screen and the wall
Step 2. Press and hold the power button for at least a minute
Step 3. Plug the power cable in the monitor, and then to the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the factory reset option and select

If the steps above did not resolve your issue, you can try the monitor on a computer or other device to see if the problem persists. If not I think it would be preferable that you contact HP Support for service options.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • X 1 carbon 3rd gen, the upgrade of lcd panel

    Hello

I have a gen X1c 3rd with the TN FHD-slab. I don't really like this Panel and want to upgrade. What are the options I have, and where can I find parts?

If possible, I would get the WQHD with touchscreen. Can I install it on my X1c?

Second option would be to get IPS WQHD no touchscreen.

    Thank you

You do no more with this? I have exactly the same problem the display X1C TN is simple bad and I'm looking to upgrade with no touchscreen WQHD of. If Yes can you tell what else apart from the LCD screen I need to replace.

Yes, I did an upgrade. I decided that I really want a touch screen, but these panels are not compatible with the other Assembly parts (display TN).

    Option 1:

What I did was buy a LCD complete Assembly (WQHD + touch) on ebay opportunity from a gen2 X1C and swapped all including hinges, antenna cables and everything. Each piece is the same, or at least interchangeable, between gen2 & gen3 except for the LED cable.

Screen + touchscreen is working perfect, but since the LED cable has a different size I can not connect, and so I don't get bluetooth, webcam, microphone, and ambient light sensor. Do not claim any of those personally, so ok for me.

If anyone know of an adapter that can be used between gen2 and gen3 LED-cable, advice would be gratly appreciated!

    Option 2:

If you only want to upgrade to an IPS display, you can simply buy the Panel and change in yourself. Bit of a delicate mod however, you have to disassemble the entire LCD screen, and it is maintained by a tape strong enough all way around. But doable...

I have found no WQHD Panel which can be easily exchanged with the TN slab without changing many others leave. Option 1 and 2 above are probably the only way to go.

    Good luck!

  • New LCD Panel

Hello. Following these instructions , I tried to change the display of my X 201. I did notice something special when taking apart, but when I tried to see if the new display worked there do not have. Then I tried with my old screen, but that didn't work either.

There is nothing else wrong with the computer. I can use an external monitor. I tried with two different cables from the LCD, but it has not made a difference. The light on the inverter works so I don't know what the problem is.

I have no reassmbled everything before laptop to test the screen so I missed something or what could be the problem?

I don't know where the fuses are on this model. They are welded and quite difficult to replace. You need at least a preheater of quartz and a station of rework at controlled temperature. There are several parties involved. There is a magnetic switch that detects that the lid is closed. (turns off the backlight), it is also easy to get the cable connected partially on the back of the Panel

  • Z61m: Replacement of LCD Panel (WSXGA + WUXGA)

I own ThinkPad Z61m (Type 9450-HAG). Unfortunately the LCD does not any more (only the first third of the works of the display).

I consider replacing the LCD screen (WSXGA +, FRU No.: 13N7020).

Is it possible to replace the original panel with WUXGA Panel - 13N7198 or 13N7178?

If it is possible, is it enough just to replace the or it is also necessary to replace the other laptop parts and/or upgrade the BIOS or other software?

In this case, you should be all set once you replace the LCD screen. Your graphics card drive without question, he's fine.

Good luck and we keep abreast.

  • Mac Book Pro cracked screen inside, no damage to the outside

    Hello

I woke up this morning with mac book open and off. I have seen that my screen was quite dirty and decided I have to clean fingerprints on it. I used a Clorox and a paper towel to clean. Once I finished I turned an and saw my screen cracked. When I rubbed my finger on the screen it there's no indication on the front or the back of the screen he was hit there. It is only within the screen. I took it to apple and they said it was an accident, when I washed only the screen, as I did with several Mac Book Pro, I bought in the past. I have Applecare, but he does not apparently. No where else on my mac does show that I have damage and I did a diagnosis, and there is nothing else wrong with my system. They said that I am $ 800 and it's just scandalous due to a stream for the super screen thin on the inside. I don't know where to go from here, but I've used Apple products in my life and being a college student, I don't have that kind of money to fix. This problem should of never happened. I do all my graphics and coding on my Mac and have always loved. I also have a case of black Tech21 surrounding for added protection so something like this has not happened. Please if there is any help I can get here, it would be highly appreciated.

    Benjamin Schmidt

Make your case to a store manager, but it is difficult to claim "just happened by itself." Be nice to the staff of the store, you are basically arguing for special treatment.

It does not mean you did anything on purpose, but the MacBook was responsible, if you are responsible for. The cause could be anything from a drop of abrupt changes in temperature. Who knows...

    Good luck!

    Hello

The M100 series was delivered with a display type 200 WXGA 14.1 LTN141W1-L03-0.
To my knowledge this display should support a response speed of 25ms.

  • Compatible LCD Panel for Satellite M30 951

Unfortunately, the display on a Satellite M30 (PSM30E-7101Y-GR) is broken. Well, to change it would not be a great thing, but I would like to know what screen models when used on this Version (for example is it possible to build in a style of glare panel without changing other things) or to simply find out which would be the cheapest possible display.

Does anyone have a list of views that are used for this model?
    The current screen is a LP154W01 (A3) (K1)

    THX in advance

    Hello

I think that the laptop comes with a 15.4 wide TFT color display screen "(1280 x 800) screen."
In my opinion, you can use most of the 15.4 screens.
But be aware that the display is one of the most expensive neighborhoods that are used on the laptop.

On some sites, I found this K000009690 part number.

    Hope this helps a little

    Hi David

Check eBay. I saw many times laptop parts for models of different laptops. Maybe you will be lucky and find a LCD screen for a little money.

  • Use Higer Res LCD-Panel in Portege R200

I just bought a Portege R200 with a broken LCD screen.
I have a screen of spare LCD that I intend to use, but I thought is possible to use a + XGA, SXGA or even a SXGA + as the M400 has?
I know that M200 and M400 is a Tablet but what I understad they have the same measure to the size of the screen.

Does anyone know if there is another model of laptop that I could use?

    Thank you

    Hello

    As I m not wrong not the R200 was equipped with a 12.1 color TFT "(1024 x 768) Silicon Poly display." It s a TOSHIBA display LTM12C328

The m200 comes with a 12.1 "TFT screen LCD Poly-Silicon (LTD121KM1K) color too.
But it allows better resolution 1400 x 1050.

In my opinion, you should be able to use this view in the R200 too.

    Best regards

  • On the new laptop LCD panels

I'm ready to buy a new laptop, but can't decide between an Inspiron 17R with a Radeon HD5470 or a Studio 15 with an integrated Intel video card?  The video card on the Inspiron will offset the decline in the quality of the display?  Each system will have a processor i5 - 460 M with 6 GB of RAM.  I don't be gaming, but want a laptop better than my old Inspiron.

    You will appreciate any input.

    Thanks, 1719

I am a specialist in products with Dell and noticed you had not yet received a response to your message of the community and I wanted to help out let.  Although the video card helps to improve colors and balance on your screen, the cards will be tied for the most other than photo read/write use.  The determining factor should be whether you need additional video performance for games or anything else that requires drawing of 3D images or the calculation of interactions between the 3D environment.  Keep in mind that if you decide on an integrated card you will end up with more autonomy for increased mobility.

  • Satellite Pro M30-344: damaged hinge Panel LCD & keyboard changes

    Hello world

as I noticed latekly, my left hinge of the LCD Panel is damaged. This means: it s not REALLY broken but is not really attached to the laptop more. The functionality is still there, I can open and close my laptop with no problems.

More: My keyboard is a little damaged for 3 years now, the Enter key is not set, too.

Now my questions: guarantee is no more and so, how much do I pay around to fix these two problems. It would be worth the cost or not?

    Greetings
    Timo

    Hi Timo

The keyboard should not be very expensive and replace, it is very easy, so you can do it yourself, on the LCD screen, it will be very expensive (about 300-400) without replacing the work, I guess, because of the cost will be about 40% of the laptop costs, I suggest that you start thinking about a change in mobile instead of fix it.

  • Connection of the control panel LCD of Tecra TE2000

Have a problem with the entire monitor as there are two sets of cables from the lcd panel, we have a sockett and other two wires (black and white) are equipped with an individual connects the microphone. I tried to find a manual anywhere, but could not. Can anyone advice on this problem of mounting?

Where on the motherboard is the connector corresponding to these two wires?

    Thank you very much

    bluestride

    Hello

These two wires (black and white) belong to the WLAN antenna and must be connected to the wireless network card. For this model of laptop wireless network card is optional and I don't know if the card is inside.

Sticker WLAN is placed in the lower corner of your laptop?
