Z61m: Replacement of LCD Panel (WSXGA + WUXGA)

I own ThinkPad Z61m (Type 9450-HAG). Unfortunately the LCD does not any more (only the first third of the works of the display).

I consider replacing the LCD screen (WSXGA +, FRU No.: 13N7020).

Is it possible to replace the original panel with WUXGA Panel - 13N7198 or 13N7178?

If it is possible, is it enough just to replace the or it is also necessary to replace the other laptop parts and/or upgrade the BIOS or other software?

In this case, you should be all set once you replace the LCD screen. Your graphics card drive without question, he's fine.

Good luck and we keep abreast.

  • Replacement of LCD in Tecra S2

    Hello!
Unfortunatelly, matrix LCD in my computer laptop Toshiba Tecra S2 came down and I need to replace it. Initially, it came with 15 "1024 x 768 resolution display, but I discovered that some Tecra S2s were shipped with LCD resolution 1400 x 1050.
So here's my question: is it possible to replace my LCD 1024 x 768 with 1400 x 1050 one? If so, how do you? I need to change something on the mobo, BIOS update, maybe it's done automatically? Or, if there is no such possibility, please break it to me gently; P

I tried to google and search for answers here, but I found nothing. I don't know really what keywords should I use to get some info secure.

    Cheers from Poland

In principle, you can do such an upgrade. You have noting to do, but burning the new 1400 x 1050 displays and changes with the damaged one.
Sounds easy, but it is not!

Where different views of different manufacturers build in Tecra S2.
You can buy exactly the display on the right from the same manufacturer but in resolution 1400 x 1050.
The reason is that the screens have different connectors.

The task is to get the information that the display is correct. As I see your only chance is to find a Toshiba service partner which allows first to get the right information!
    Good luck!

  • HP pavilion DV7-4026TX: replacement of LCD for HP pavilion DV7-4026TX

    Hi guys,.

As my lcd screen is not working properly (green is on the screen), I would like to order a replacement, but I discovered that there are 3 number of parts that are not suitable for my model (HP pavilion dv7-4026TX), that should be the right pair to order?

    605324-001, 605325-001 & 605327-001

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you very much!

    Here is the Service Manual:

    I actually see this:

For use only with the HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC computer 40xx models 605337-001

Therefore, it appears none of those you have listed is the right one.

This is the one above on eBay:

The smartest thing is to remove the old Panel before you buy a new. The part number of the manufacturer (Samsung, LG, etc) screen down from the back of the Panel and make sure that you understand how it connects and then store the Panel-based and not by part number of the manufacturer of the laptop. You will have a wider choice of products and you'll be sure of the compatibility and maybe even save a buck or two. Panels of the screen are a part of the product and the same panels will be used in many models of laptop by several manufacturers. If you really understand what you're doing you can use any display of the same type of resolution and the connection, but you must make sure that all the plugs are the same.

  • X 1 carbon 3rd gen, the upgrade of lcd panel

    Hello

I have a gen X1c 3rd with the TN FHD-slab. I don't really like this Panel and want to upgrade. What are the options I have, and where can I find parts?

If possible, I would get the WQHD with touchscreen. Can I install it on my X1c?

Second option would be to get IPS WQHD no touchscreen.

    Thank you

    Jonte

    om26er wrote:
You do no more with this? I have exactly the same problem the display X1C TN is simple bad and I'm looking to upgrade with no touchscreen WQHD of. If Yes can you tell what else apart from the LCD screen I need to replace.

Yes, I did an upgrade. I decided that I really want a touch screen, but these panels are not compatible with the other Assembly parts (display TN).

    Option 1:

What I did was buy a LCD complete Assembly (WQHD + touch) on ebay opportunity from a gen2 X1C and swapped all including hinges, antenna cables and everything. Each piece is the same, or at least interchangeable, between gen2 & gen3 except for the LED cable.

Screen + touchscreen is working perfect, but since the LED cable has a different size I can not connect, and so I don't get bluetooth, webcam, microphone, and ambient light sensor. Do not claim any of those personally, so ok for me.

If anyone know of an adapter that can be used between gen2 and gen3 LED-cable, advice would be gratly appreciated!

    Option 2:

If you only want to upgrade to an IPS display, you can simply buy the Panel and change in yourself. Bit of a delicate mod however, you have to disassemble the entire LCD screen, and it is maintained by a tape strong enough all way around. But doable...

I have found no WQHD Panel which can be easily exchanged with the TN slab without changing many others leave. Option 1 and 2 above are probably the only way to go.

    Good luck!

  • New LCD Panel

Hello. Following these instructions , I tried to change the display of my X 201. I did notice something special when taking apart, but when I tried to see if the new display worked there do not have. Then I tried with my old screen, but that didn't work either.

There is nothing else wrong with the computer. I can use an external monitor. I tried with two different cables from the LCD, but it has not made a difference. The light on the inverter works so I don't know what the problem is.

I have no reassmbled everything before laptop to test the screen so I missed something or what could be the problem?

I don't know where the fuses are on this model. They are welded and quite difficult to replace. You need at least a preheater of quartz and a station of rework at controlled temperature. There are several parties involved. There is a magnetic switch that detects that the lid is closed. (turns off the backlight), it is also easy to get the cable connected partially on the back of the Panel

  • Satellite A100 - display balack after replacing the LCD screen

    Hello

So I'm trying to fix a LCD on a Satellite A100. The girl I am set as said she accidentally hit the screen with his hand and became black.

When you turn on the laptop I can here windows activate, nothing is on the LCD screen. It is not the backlight, because I don't see anything on the screen at all. So I bought a replacement LCD screen and that one does not work either. Same question

I think it is the inverter, any suggestions?

    Could be the sensor cover?

    Thank you! Kyle

    Hi Kyle,.

Did you buy this new LCD screen to a service provider authorized? I ask this question because it would be interesting to know if it s a Toshiba valid a party or 3rd party a spare.

Did you check the connection of the LCD cable? There may be a link to lose or the cable itself is touched.
Theoretically, it might be the FL inverter too, but I doubt that. Otherwise, you'd see something on the screen but very dark.

  • Tecra M2: Can I replace laptops LCD screen SXGA +.

Anyone know if it is possible to change the standard XGA screen, I have in my Tecra M2 with a screen SXGA +. Do I need to change anything other than the LCD?

    Thank you very much.
    D

    Hello

As far as I know, that laptops come with a different hardware configuration. The same series of laptop computer can be delivered with the screen XGA and SXGA screen +.

I think that you can replace your TFT screen to the other, but the display size should be the same.
    I guess the Tecra M2 needs a 14.1 screen.

But why do you want to replace the laptop screen? First of all, you should know that the replacement of the screen isn't easy and it should be done by a technician or a person who has a good laptop experience. In addition, the new view is not cheap. You have to spend about $ 350 for a new game and I think that it s not worth.

    But it's you choice buddy

It's not easy to replace if you have no experience! In this case I recommend you contact a technician for laptop.

  • Satellite 2410-303-help with replacing the LCD screen

    Hello
My screen is dead and must be replaced. Can someone tell me where I can get a replacement and at what price? I live in Mauritius and cannot get spare here.
    Thank you mnay
    Jawa

    Hi Jawa

In my opinion there is not a lot of options. You can order parts by authorized service partners or order it from some independent PC shop. Check if you can find a partner in your countries, or maybe someone else (they can send you everything you need to). Another way Google a little bit and I'm sure you'll find someone who can send you a new LCD screen for your laptop.

On the price I can't tell you much because we walked free and the price is different from one country to the other.

  • Satellite A300 Question on replacing the LCD screen

I had a minor accident with my A300, which ultimately ended in me the screen cracking.
(Yes, I know, what a fool. Believe me, it was a complete accident.)

In any case, the after-sales service is closed until January 5, but I was wondering if anyone might know how a replacement screen would be me back?

Will it cost me more than $80 just to have the 'thing' rated and side on, and I need to know about how I look, as I recently had my end of maternity payments, so we are a middle-income.

    Time to talk Abou...

Change the LCD is a little tricky. You have to remove a lot of and remove the screws much.

This is a forum user to Yes, so I think nobody with experience here's how. I think the best is you go in an ASP.
