S3-391 Acer won't start

I hope there, can someone help me.  While cleaning my Aspire S3-391, it seemed to me hitting a key sequence that creates a problem starting.  I get an error 0xc0000034 and leadership: \BCD.  I can't access one of the tools of recovery preinstalled and ALT / F10 sequence does not work with Windows 8.  Not sure how I caused this, but certainly can't reverse the problem.  I thought that you have seen something like this and might have something I can try.

Thanks in advance!

See you soon

I suggest you to rebuild the BCD (Boot Configuration data) from command line and check if that helps.

1 insert the Windows 8.x installation/recovery media and start the computer using the disc.
If you do not have an installation/restore media, I suggest you download windows enterprise trial edition 8.1:
http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-Windows-8-1-Enterprise

You must burn the iso file downloaded to a bootable DVD or USB media

Note: You will need to consult the computer manual on how to set the CD/DVD or USB drive as the first boot device in the BIOS.

2. Once you start using the disk installation of Windows on the Windows 8.x installation window, click on repair your computer.

3. click on troubleshooting and advanced options. First thing you can try is the auto repair. If it does not help, go to the system restore. If it works fine, and then create a system restore point so that the next time that you are having problems you can always restore the computer to the recent system restore point created.

4. If this does not help, and then select command prompt. Enter the following commands to four in the command prompt.

Bootrec /fixmbr
Bootrec /fixboot
Bootrec /scanos
Bootrec /rebuildbcd

Once the order is complete, restart the computer.

My Acer won't start. I've been on youtube yesterday and then it turns off, but he was charging fully charged. I tried pressing the button of power to start, but all he showed was light dependent. When I removed the charger once it was fully charged, it didn't start or show any light. I was away from the laptop for like four hours (it was not supported), and when I tried to start it, it worked. After an hour of inactivity, he went white and won't turn on. I left it overnight and it won't always turn. It's just the charging light shows. Any help will be much appreciated.

  • Acer laptop won't start

Hello, I'm new here... In any case my Acer Aspire E 15 won't start. All I get is a small box blue message which said: lack of default boot device or startup failed. Insert the recovery media and press a key. Then select "Boot Manager" to select a new device boot or Boot Recovery Media. " So I press on enter a couple of times just to go back to the same blue message dialog box. I tried to go and wait five seconds to launch a kind of recovery, but it did not work. Then I activated the f12 boot sequence, and this alteration has nothing. My laptop did not come with a CD/DVD player, when my father bought new last Christmas. I uninstalled Microsoft Office Spotify and Amazon the last time that I logged online. The 64-bit Windows 8.1 is built in. Maybe that remove some files. IDK. What should I do? Do I need some sort of media recovery USB device? Your help is appreciated. Thanks, Neil

It was a hardware problem and now it is fixed. Back to zero once again.

  • My W4-820 Iconia won't start... I think Windows is damaged or missing.

I intend to sell my tablet to my son, so I started a system reset. Don't know exactly what happened, even if I chose back to an earlier version of Windows. Now the unit won't start... after the Acer screen flash, it empties.

    I've tried several things:

1A tried to install a USB which (I think) has both 32 and 64 bits Windows 10, downloaded with Microsoft Media creation tool. No joy.

    2. created a cool USB with the media creation tool. No joy, once again.

    3. I've tried several repair options using these tools. A couple of times, I've reached the point where Windows complains that it cannot start and offers advanced options. When I finally reached the point where I can boot from the USB key and receive a screen that offers you to install Windows, the touchscreen responds quite so I can not choose the option to continue with the installation.

    4. I tried to boot from the recovery of Windows 8.1 DVD I received with the device. The towers of DVD and I can hear and feel the head of the research, but the Acer logo remains on the screen and finally goes out.

Late last night, I made an ISO of the recovery DVDs and Rufus to make a USB bootable, but then it was too late to try, so it will be tonight when I get home from work.

I have installed and reinstalled Windows 10 a couple of times on this tablet (it has sort of an experimental / test bed for me) and never had a problem remotely like that.

Is there anything else I can try, or something escapes me? Is it possible trying to boot from the SD card (I don't see this option in the boot options).

I think it's likely that you'll want to put a USB hub so that you can boot from USB and having a physical keyboard. And no, you can't boot from SD cards.

  • Qosmio G20 - won't start, error ATA #1

I have a G20-102. Today I opened my flash drive and files all showed them as shortcuts. I tried to connect to Firefox 4 and a warning from AVG threat came pointing to C:\windows\system32\mssrv32.exe (Tr/Crypt.xpack.Gen3) as a Protection of identity. I opted for the "Move to vault" option and asked to restart

Now my pc won't start - I get the Qosmio screen, ATA error #1 (CD player has been removed) and then the screen "rolls" - looks like random pixels flashing on the screen. I'm trying to start safe mode, but F5, F8 or any Fkey is not doing

To make things worse, the CD rom has been removed, faulty, so I can't boot from another device. I don't have a USb in the BIOS, only FDD option which I did not

    Help, please

    Hey,.

To me, it looks like a serious hardware malfunction

You could try to load the default settings in the BIOS. Enter in the BIOS, and then press the F9 key to load defaults. Then save & exit the BIOS and try to start again.

The HARD drive is recognized correctly in the BIOS? If so I try a recovery disk Toshiba recovery installation and check if the problem is hardware or software partners.

  • Satellite Pro 2100 won't start at all - LED flash

My SP2100 began to have feeding problems and now won't start at all. The AC adapter green LED is lit, that are relevant lights on the body of the laptop (although the "battery charge" light always orange these days). When I try the switch on, startup begins (in fact succeeded on occasion until this morning), however the battery indicator and the adapter lights are flashing, and everything stops again.

On the rare occasions when I'll be past this stage, lights blinking, and the system soon shuts down again with a screen message "low battery." Until this morning, he would sometimes settle, the computer remained on, and the lights showed a State of equilibrium as usual.

Initially I thought that the problem was of course the battery or the AC adapter, but now I'm starting to think that it is with internal PSU of the laptop (although I suspect the battery is probably tour after all this part of loading and unloading).

    Any ideas?

    Hello

I think you're right. Flashing LEDS are a sign that hardware is defective.
I can't say what exactly is the problem, this should be verified by a technicain.

  • 4600 won't start

    Hi, community,

my pro sat suddenly won't start. only power led flashes. Got out of the car, a piece of metal appears to be noise. But - if the drive is broken - shoulnd't the laptop will start anyway? Thank you for your help in advance. Wolfgang

    Hi, Wolfgang

Yes, the machine must be able to start up indicating at least the TOSHIBA logo without the optical drive and fixed.

Some background info: flashing DC-IN means that you have a problem of power supply to your machine.

Please delete what you can without using a screwdriver. PC card, battery and so on. If you have 2 mem cards remove one.
When everything is there, try to restart the device. Keeps blinking? If you had 2 plates of mem, remove the still inside and install another one in another location. Try again. Always the same?
So I guess that there is a physical problem with the machine.

If the machine starts normally, try turning off and to reconnect one removed items at once turn on the machine after each reconnection.
Test them one by one and see if you can find out if there is a specific that causes this problem.

    Good luck!

    Tom

    Hi Mustafa,

In the BIOS settings, you should have an option called "Memory of UMA", which should show that 64 MB. This is the memory allocated to your graphics card and is main part of RAM of the laptop.

If you choose this item it should display the options available in 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB and 128 MB. use the arrow keys to change from 64 MB to 128 MB., then save settings and exit. On re - start your available RAM will be reduced by the additional 64 MB, which will be reserved for your graphics card.
