S50 satellite - B PSPQ6E - high interruptions on CPU

Bought a Toshiba S50 - B (pspq6e) yesterday, when I booted the system I noticed that it wasn't in reaction time. I decided to install windows 7 on it, after that only she remained slow with many interruptions of the cpu (atapi.sys, ndis.sys).

Things, I tried to solve this problem:

-updated the bios to 2.0
-install windows 7
-disable the cpu Accelerator
-install the drivers 1by1 from official support section of Toshiba
-install the latest drivers from the factory

even after doing a format without having to install drivers, interrupts are there so I guess that it is a bios related or hardware problem.

Any advice would help

With sincere friendships.

What do you exactly mean by interruptions of CPU?
Sorry, mate, but what should this mean for us?

  • Satellite Pro L650 - high speed of CPU fan

    Hello everyone

I have a Satelite L650 computer laptop that worked fine until I updated the BIOS to version 1.90 a few days ago. Now the problem is in the title.

    (1) the fan runs at full speed all the time, no matter what I do, even when nothing works.
    (2) if I switch to power and suspend mode back the laptop, the fan does not work and I get a message in 10 seconds:

    .../\
.. / ! ------Attention: a problem with the cooling system has been detected.
. /------- Please, immediately turn off the computer and return it for service.

And of course, I must stop the laptop and restart it to get the fan turns (whitch would speed max immediately).
I cleaned up the laptop from dust as much as possible, to make sure there is no dust on a sensor, but I can't do a lot outside. I used a 'fan '.
I did not open the laptop to check and clean all the possible dust because I think it would break my warranty policy (not sure about this).

I came across a few posts with people having this problem:
    - either with a new laptop
-or after the update of the BIOS.

According to me, this looks like a problem with this version of BIOS 1.90. I think that there is no way taken in charge by Toshiba to downgrade the BIOS with a lower version. I know that Toshiba Tec can do, but I have no idea what hard/software they use. Are there information on this problem and/or a possible new version of the BIOS? Like many people, if not all, I consider the PRO series as business computers - which can be used in a professional manner and have to shut up.

    Thanks for your comments.

  • material high interrupt CPU under Windows 2003

    Hi guys,.

I have several virtual machines running windows 2003 and citrix presentation server 4.5 and I experience interruptions of cpu high on the virtual machine as 30 to 40% of the time cpu, so if the CPU is busy for 20%, it is almost 20% compared to that of the downtime.

I created a new virtual machine from scratch, tried more vcpus, cloned a physics (I know that this is what may cause, but just to test) and several other things.

The performance is very erratic, sometimes the graphic bellow is completely red. It must be a problem with a planner to UC or something. Could you guys please give me some advice? Thank you!

    Capture.JPG

CPU usage increases when a system process requires more time or when several network packets are sent and received. The CPU becomes too busy when the CPU receives too many packets of the switch hardware or when a system process consumes too much time CPU. When one of these functions is using CPU resources, then it will be at the expense of the other, because the CPU is too busy.  For example, if the CPU gets number of packets due to a storm of broadcasting on the network, it is so busy processing all the packages that the other processes in the system do not have access to the resources of the processor.

Just check if the CPU is busy processing network packets.

  • What S50 Satellite must be chosen to have good quality of TV picture?

    Hello

I would buy a S50 Satellite, then connect it to
-TV digital hd (I will buy in the future)
-monitor digital hd TV (I have another model of 1920 x 1080)
-Analog TV (I have a Panasonic 9 year model cca.)

    How is that possible?
    What settings are required?
What kind of photo would be generated by a S50 Satellite with resolutionn of 1366 x 768 on a device of 1920 x 1080?

So in short: what models can I use?
    Thanks in advance!

You can check the video graphics card that are installed in laptops unique properties.
But in most cases the graphics cards allows an external resolution that is greater than a resolution FHD 1920 x 1080 that is supported by all full HD TVs.

Hello, I've updated victory 8 to 8.1. Now my S50 Satellite A 10 H is slow. Opening Firefox takes 2-3 min, opening a web page 1-2 minutes if there is no shortage...

I have flashed the bios, updated the drivers - no change.

Someone knows how to solve this problem or to decline to 8.0?

  • Satellite L30 - 10Y - upgrade successful but CPU fan is running

    Hi ppl,
This post is more than a FYI post.

I gave myself a defective Aspire 5610 and decided to whip the CPU out of it and put it in my Toshiba Satellite L30 and it works! CPU of the Satellite is a series of Intel Celeron M @ 1.87 Ghz, while the Acer processor is an Intel T2300 Centrino Duo 1.66 GHz. So my Satellite is now slightly faster, but added to it's 2 GB of RAM and a hard drive upgraded to 320 GB under Windows 7 Ultimate. While its still not a game machine, it creaks all the numbers that I throw at it!
    Hope this helps someone.

I noticed that the fan runs almost constantly, suggestions?

    Hey,.

Thanks for this very interesting article! It of Nice to hear this new CPU works fine, but I have to say there is no guarantee for this, but you have chance ;)
Update CPU's official not taken in charge, but in some cases, it may work, depending on the motherboard, BIOS and CPU.

In any case, I think the fan runs almost constantly because the newer and more powerful CPU producing much more heat and it must be cooled cooling system that is designed for your older CPU.
All you can do is to clean the cooling system, but I think you have already done this during the exchange of CPU and use of grease thermal correct amount.

  • Why Vista displays a higher use of CPU than XP?

I have an Athlon 64 x 2, office of 2.31 GHz under XP-pro/SP3 and nothing underway, the performance shows the CPU usage at 8%. The idle process is 90 to 95% I expect.

I also have an Acer laptop, Turion 64 x 2 2 GHz BS 4fv under Vista-32/SP2. However, when I look at past performance, the CPU usage seems to be always 50%-60% with two processors crank away quite heavily. I don't think it's the indexing file because there is no disk activity. It is not constant, the two tracks of the CPU usage history show a lot of up and down the tracks. And networking shows no activity. He says I have 91 process right now, but when I go to the tab process, not to see the very much activity, 1-3%. It is usually quite sensitive to key clicks, move windows, etc.

Isn't that normal (me, the laptop :-)? What he does? I think I remember reading somewhere that this activity without disc is due to interruption of CPU activity? Is the CPU usage managed differently in Vista (and W7?) than in XP to account for the difference?

    TIA!

OK, after many attempts of disabling various startup programs, the main culprit seems to be Nero Home, although I did not go to the low why still with them, or what he does. And second is Skype, it seems to take more time in regular bites. If Vista is off the hook. Thanks for your time!

These are all good references you have listed, I will keep a pointer to them for any future reference.

  • S50 satellite - B 15 P - Fans running at high speed and system crash

    Hello

I have a new SATELLITE S50 - B 15, i7-5500U, 8 GB Ram, SSD etc., IV and v have some problems with it.

for unknown reasons the CPU fan starts to operate at high speed, even if the temperature of the CPU hit is not 35%.
It also froze about 10 times since I got it (April this year).

The only way to make it work again would be me to hold the power button down until stop and start it back up.
Once launched upward there is no mention of potential problems in the newspapers of events other than the forced closure.

I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced problems?

    Thank you

    Chris

The only way to make it work again would be me to hold the power button down until stop and start it back up.

Forcing order restores the fan activity and performance?
Hmm it sounds like there must be some sort of system emits probably the bottom of some process locks the CPU and therefore increases the activity of the fan.

You could start the the Task Manager and in the process tab, you will find all background applications that would appeal to the CPU.
Click the CPU column to display all the processes of loading the CPU.

However, you can also try to change the option of cooling method that is available in Windows Advanced Power options.
Go to control panel → power options.
Click here on the power plan that is currently in use.
Then click on advanced power options and access the cooling method.
Here you can change it from active to passive.

In addition, you can decrease the status of CPU max at 90-05%

There are many applications that run in the background.
Most of them is installed by Toshiba and these tools control the features of the laptop as keys FN, multi, eco button command buttons, etc.

You can see the ruing applications in the Task Manager. There you can also see what background process requires the use of the CPU.

  • Satellite C660 - Constant high speed CPU fan and a high utilization of the processor

I have the Toshiba Satellite C660-F235. A few days ago, my machine was suddenly ok, fan constantly runs fastly each time and cpu use at least 50%. If I want to run some programs that require high cpu consumption, that the system is turned off automatically.

I installed the latest version of the BIOS and all drivers and installed the new windows 7... Please help me

    Hello

I think some sort of background process CPU stress.
You can check this in the task-> processes tab Manager
Click the CPU column to get the ordered process and to show all processes that emphasize the CPU.

Closing or disabling of these processes can reduce the performance of the processor.

  • Satellite A300-1ID - high CPU temperature

    Hello

I have a Satellite A300-1ID, 2 years and since I bought the computer I felt he was always hot, but I guess that's normal.
In the first year I wasn't playing any recent games, computer was at a normal temperature, but this year, I bought a few games and the computer after an hour + - gameplay disable because overheating. I have a program to see the temperature of the cpu and when I play it is around 80 - 90 c: O

I post this topic because the atm, even with the computer only @ office, with the low CPU, my cpu usage is around 70 ° c. It's a little high, I guess, because it was about 50 ° c some time ago. The idea how to improve the cooling of the computer? already cleaned the fan, and I also use a base so the "fabric" of the table be stick to the fan.

This high temperature is normal for this model?

    Best regards, leech

    Hello

    > the cpu temperature, and when I play it's around 80 - 90 c

There is nothing unusual, playing games makes Cpu and Gpu hard.

    > . The idea how to improve the cooling of the computer? already cleaned the fan, and I also use a base so the "fabric" of the table be stick to the fan.

You can't have the cooling of your laptop module improve you. Theoretically, you can do it if you a computer engineer. I want to find more powerful fan, calculate the rated output, voltage...
You can also get a cooling pad, it's not expensive. Maybe, you need to replace a thermal grease.

  • Re: Satellite L650D - 16Q - high CPU temperature

I have the high temperature of my CPU when im play is not on the next screen
    http://ImageShack.us/f/708/Temperatura.PNG/

When I play the temperature is around _73_ Celsius and _63 percent _, cooler _80 percent _ speed
    The temperature rises immediately.
    I worry about this.
I bought my satellite 2 months ago, I don't know what is recommended temperature and fan speed. How to reduce the temperature? My fan does not?

In my opinion there is no reason to panic. When you play games, it makes sense that the CPU and GPU must offer more performance and these hardware components will produce also more heat. Sensors on the motherboard to register this heat and fans will be auto activated to operate with a higher speed and a hard recovery.

This is nothing unusual. 73 for the processor temperature is certainly not the critical temperature level.

  • Satellite A100-192 - high CPU temperature

    Hello

I have this laptop for several months. Up to now, cpu temp was about 63 degrees Celsius at the Summit. Since a few days temp is 63 maximum idle and 73 when... the game worms 2!
    What could go wrong?

There is nothing that would drain my cpu, nothing has changed, the CPU has a good air circulation.
I don't know what to do. When I play the need for speed: carbon, the game freezes and hungs after awhile.

    Help, please.

    Hello

You know that each device preinstalled in the notebook produced heat.
Sometimes more operating devices with maximum performance. The devices run with maximum when performance performance heavyweight like games runs on the laptop.

On my laptop Toshiba power saver determines the method of cooling and the processing speed of the CPU. I think that this is also preinstalled on your laptop. Therefore, you should first check these options.

Second Toshiba graphics driver must be installed on the laptop and not any other because the Toshiba has the driver supports protection against overheating. This driver controls the performance of the graphics card. If the temperature rises to a higher level if the driver decreases the performance of the graphics card.

Last but not least, you should check your module cooling fans. Sometimes the dust and debris keep the laptop cooling properly.
You must also have sufficient free space around the laptop for cool air circulation.

    Hello Chris

On this virtual path that's not easy to say many things about it, but before you start the game close all applications you need t n, set the power plan to high performance and use laptop on the desktop computer. I put t know how can you use but cooling vents must be free and portable must be cooled properly.

  • Satellite L500-1XL - high CPU usage all the time

    Hi all

I've owned the L500-1XL for over a year now and I recently encountered a new problem: for the last few weeks, the laptop everything can become very, very slowly. Everything I do, the laptop freezes and may stop responding for a few minutes at a time. Regardless of the application I see is to do so in the process manager, stop it, but then another application steals all CPU - this isn't a particular application...

-I'm crazy about security and make quick analyses and complete analyses frequently, including spyware and rootkits scans startup
-I update drivers all the time, but have already re-installed all the drivers that came with the laptop and no change.
-J' recently added more RAM and a new hard drive internal, but this problem existed before the new facilities
-J' tried SP1 installation integrated in a Windows 7 disc and installed, and I noticed the problem of CPU for the first time then. If after that when I put in new hard drive I used the Windows Installer disc which is come with the laptop instead and in no time the problem comes back.
-J' have uninstall the applications that I don't use and there is not a lot of new applications on my laptop that I am not familiar
-J' tried it a bit on the internet and it is a very common problem, but I still don't know what to do

This happened to someone? Someone at - it ideas? I would be very grateful, it starts to drive crazy me! My laptop is not my laptop when it wastes my time...!

Hmm hard to say what's wrong here
In the Task Manager, you can check the process that locks the CPU and use the whole performance of the CPU.
You can google for this .exe to know what software or application uses this process.

Theoretically, it could also be a virus
