Safari & Flash Player

So, now when I run Safari to watch a movie on TCM, I get the message that it requires Flash Player.

I already have Flash Player.

I read that I can activate it, but no instructions available on how to turn it on.

I've never had this problem before about 3 weeks back.

There is no problem when using Google Chrome or Firefox.

This problem can be fixed, or should I just use other browsers?

I noticed that there are times when an image is not visible in Safari, but is

Chrome and Firefox.

I am running Yosemite.

Thanks for your help.

If you have installed the Adobe Flashplayer correctly and for the first time in Safari 10, you must activate it in the Safari preferences panel: Security: Internet Plug-ins: √ allow Plug-ins (plug-in settings...). In Control Panel, you will see a place to pick up Adobe Flash Player and a selection (when visiting other Web sites: on.) Then click done. Quit and then restart Safari.

There are hundreds of these sites to scam out there. Nothing has been installed on your Mac, or even downloaded to. The goal of each of them should Miller get so much money that you're ready to spit. Good thing you cut them and not give them access to your Mac.

The usual simple solution is Force Quit Safari. Hold down the SHIFT key, and then restart it. The SHIFT key tells Safari don't not to load the previous sites.

  • Flash Player not working not not in Safari

    What should do?

    iMac, Mac OS X 10.10.3, Safari 8.0.6

    Calling all geniuses!

In Safari, go to Safari > Preferences > Security

    Make sure JavaScript is checked.

Make sure that Internet Plug-Ins is checked.

Under Internet-Plugins > Web site settings, choose Adobe Flash Player and value allow lower-right.

  • Flash Player (Safari Internet plug-in) (not answer)

"Flash Player (Safari Internet plug-in) (not responding)."

I get this message on every 10-15 minutes for the last week. I took in my window "Applications to leave power" while leaving open so I can kill Flash Player as quickly and efficiently as possible. (It turns out that this also force-farm in an unexpected way the message 'Content of Web of Safari (not responding)' accompanying.) So I'm good for another 10-15 minutes until another opportunity rolls for Flash Player freeze my browser screen.

This problem started shortly after I've upgraded to Mac OS X 10.10.3 (+ supplement) and Safari 8.0.5. I downloaded Flash Player 3 times last week (lately Version 17.0.0.169 earlier today), but nothing helped. The only thing that seems to help to screw up the Flash Player plugin to my "Internet Plug-Ins" folder But then, of course, I've been GROUND next time I shot a Web site that required it.

How can I make this problem go away?

I never had the time to try the suggested disabling hardware acceleration. Before I received the suggestion, someone else says ' Hey, have you tried the old standard to turn your computer off and back on again? I didn't, so I tried it, and he made the problem go away. I probably should have just come back here and reported as well. Bad me.

I tried several different download links, but non of them work. I also uninstalled Adobe Flash Player and tried to reinstall it, but then I have the same problem. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Thank you!

For some reason I have yet to determine, people with Matlab installed beginning to .mdlp extensions added to their downloaded files.  That's what happened here.  Rename the file to remove .mdlp (while it ends in .dmg), and then double-click the file and it should work.
