Safari for Mac 10.5.8 stops
My MAC 10.5.8, Safari opens for 20-30 seconds and then suddenly stops. Then I have to restart Safari, but it takes time while he thinks of re - open. T
Then, after another 20-30 seconds it stops again. I always get a reel just before it stops and everything freezes. It is very annoying. Cannot
use my MAC because of this.
I suggest you do the following:
Fix the hard disk and permissions
Boot from your Leopard installation disc. After the installer loads, choose your language and click on the continue button. When the menu bar appears select utility drive in the Utilities menu. After disk utility charges select the entrance of hard drive out-bumpy (mfgr. ID and car size) in the list on the left. In the disk utility status area, you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is faulty or has failed. (State SMART is not reported on external drives Firewire or USB). If the drive is "verified", then select your OS X volume in the list on the left (entry indented under the entry for the road), click the first aid tab, then click the repair disk button. If disk utility reports any errors that have been corrected, then again run repair disc until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, click repair permissions . Wait until the operation is complete, then quit disk utility and return to the installer.
If THE reports errors, it cannot be resolved, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you do not have one of them or none of them can fix the disc, then you will need to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the OS X.
I suggest that you reinstall Leopard at this stage:
How do a Archive and install
An archive and install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have enough free space for a second installation of OS X that could be 3 to 9 GB depending on the version of OS X and the installation options selected. The required free space is beyond normal free space requirements which must be at least 6 to 10 GB. Read, references related carefully before proceeding.
1 be sure to first use disk utility to repair the disk before you archive and install.
Fix the hard disk and permissions
Boot from your OS X install disk. After the installer loads, choose your language and click on the button continue. When the menu bar appears, select disk utility from the menu of the Installer (the menu utilities for Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard). After that the charges of THE select your entry from hard drive (mfgr. ID and car size) in the list on the left. In the status area, you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is faulty or has failed. (State SMART is not reported on external drives Firewire or USB). If the drive is "verified", then select your OS X volume in the list on the left (subentries under the entry for the road), click the first aid tab, then click the repair disk button. If THE reports any errors that have been corrected, and then run repair disk again until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, click repair permissions. Wait until the operation is complete, then exit FROM and return to the installer. Now reboot normally.
If THE reported errors, it cannot be resolved, then you will need Disk Warrior or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you do not have one of them or none of them can fix the disc, then you will need to reformat the hard drive and reinstall OS X.
2. do not proceed with an archive and install if THE reports errors, it cannot correct. In this case use Disk Warrior or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the disk, then you will need to wipe the drive and reinstall from scratch.
3 boot from your OS X install disk. After the installer loads, choose your language and click on the button continue. When you get to the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive, and then click the Option button. Select archive and install. You have an option to keep users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure that you have some files corrupted in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option disabled. Click on the OK button and continue with the Installation of OS X.
4. Once completed archive and install, you will have a previous file system as the root directory. You must keep the staple of PSF fibres, until you are sure you don't need to manually transfer all the elements of the PSF at your newly installed system.
5. after the transfer of all the elements to keep the PSF you must remove. You can save if you wish, but you must remove the hard drive.
6. you can now download an update of the combo box directly from the Apple download site for updating your new system to the desired version but also install bonds or other updates. You can also do this by using the software update.
Better yet consider to erase the disc to install Snow Leopard, once you get the Snow Leopard DVD installation program:
Upgrade to Snow Leopard
You can buy Snow Leopard at the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (US). The price is $ 19.99 plus tax. You will receive a physical media by mail after placing your order.
After the installation of Snow Leopard you will need to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Combo Update v1.1 update Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store lets you download Mavericks if your computer meets the requirements.
General requirements for Snow Leopard
1. equipped mac to an Intel processor
2. the 1 GB memory
3. 5 GB of available disk space
4. DVD drive for installation
5. some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
charges may apply.
6. some features require Apple iCloud services; fees and
conditions apply.
Clean Install of Snow Leopard
Make sure that you have backed up your files because the following procedure will remove all of the hard drive.
1. start the computer using the Snow Leopard installation disc or disc 1 that came
with your computer. Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
After the ring, press and hold the C"" key. Release the button when you see
a small gear appear under the dark gray Apple logo.
2. once the load setup program select your language and click continue
button. When the menu bar appears select utility drive in the Utilities menu.
After charge OF select hard drive entry in the list on the left (mfgr. ID and drive
size.) Click the Partition tab in the main window of THE. Set the number of
partitions to one (1) from the Partitions of the dropdown menu, click on the Options button
GUID, click OK, and then select define the Mac OS Extended format type
(Logged, if supported), and then click the apply button.
3. when formatting is complete FROM and return to the installer. Move forward
with the installation of OS X and follow the instructions included with the installer.
4. Once installation is complete your computer will restart in the Setup
Assistant. After finishing Setup Wizard will complete the installation, after which
you will use a new installation of Mac OS X. You can now begin the process of updating
at the opening of updated software and installing all recommend updates to bring your
current installation.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 v1.1 updated Combo.

The latest version of Safari would be available since last year, he took charge.

Some OS X systems have seen than Safari upgrades without a new OS X too.

FileReference save - bug Safari for Mac
Hey guys, I'm running into a bug with FileReference save on Safari for Mac. All other OS and browsers work fine.
I do something like this:
var jpgEncoder:JPGEncoder = new JPGEncoder (_imageQuality);
var _byteArrayToSave = jpgEncoder.encode (_bmpd);
var _myFileName = "myFilename.jpg";
var _fileReference:FileReference = new FileReference();
_fileReference.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, _completeSaveHandler);
_fileReference.Save (_byteArrayToSave, _myFileName);
My '_completeSaveHandler' function will never fire on Safari for Mac, and the pdf file is not saved.
When I run the above code, I get the OS' save dialogue, and when I click 'Save' to save her dialogue, dialogue closes and nothing happens.
Clues why this would only occur on Safari for Mac?
Thanks for the note kiran1989.
I added a listener for the IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, and I get no error.
The encoder Jpeg (using the lib of adobe), and save jpg feature works for all browsers on Mac 10.7.5, except for Safari.
It seems that Safari doesn't save any file type - as I tried to save a PDF file (using the alivepdf library), and same story - works on all browsers except Safari Mac.
Note that the FileReference save work in fact for all browsers on PC, including Safari 5.1.7 on PC.
No online FileReference don't save examples work on Mac Safari 6.1.5 10.7.5, either. For example, try the example with Mac10.7.5, on this page (there is a SWF a little under the title "Examination of the sample request"):
Loading and saving local files with the FileReference class. Adobe Developer Connection
I'm 10.7.5, OSX Safari 5.1.7 on PC and Safari on Mac (same number on 6.1.3) 6.1.5.
Update: I tested on a Mac with the latest OS (10.9.3) and FileReference record works on Safari with this version of the OS.
So this bug is a problem specific to 10.7.5 OSX and Safari. I believe that Safari uses a webkit engine which is cooked in the Mac operating system, so it's probably a bug with the real operating system.
Boo.

Safari for Mac OS does not load certain pages
After upgrading to Mac OS on my Mac Mini (end of 2011), everything seems to work properly. I rebooted the Mini just to be on the safe side. Everything went well. It was Tuesday night.
Thursday morning, the first opportunity, I get to mess with it, I opened Safari, try to connect to my router Asus RT-N66U (with the latest firmware), but somehow Safari doesn't seem to like https, nor does it like .asp pages. Here is a screenshot of what's on my Mac Mini Safari:
I then decided to download Google Chrome. I installed (never had on this Mac Mini), but the page works perfectly and quickly.
I have reset everything I could on Safari, including clear them cache, clear history, tried the developer mode (no matter WHICH mode in there still gives the same results)... on the cable connections and wireless. Chrome works without a hitch, as Safari before Tuesday. Now, nothing...
... However some pages such as Google.com or Apple.com loading properly. I haven't checked if there are applets missing in the back or a dark rendering problem.
Any ideas how to solve this problem? (I'll use Chrome until it is.)

From various sites, such as my Bank, I get messages saying that my Safari browser is out of date, or they no longer support the version I have. When I went to the App store to search for updates, I got the message saying no update available. What gives? I am running on OSX 10.7.5 6.1.6

If you do not want to install the latest version, OS X
Try another browser of your choice.

Firefox won't print Web pages correctly. The pdf comes out blurry but rather using the Safari browser. Apple store could not understand what is the problem. All plugin and java are up-to-date. Has happened since switching to Mac from the PC.

I found the problem. In very simple terms, it's because I changed the default font to Century Gothic. Change back to the default font of windows, I did a test print to pdf preview and it is not blurry. Now, I'm playing with different fonts to see what will work best. So far I have Arial and Times New Roman both work very well.

I started having this problem around mid-2016. In short, if I use Safari to surf the internet, after about 5-10 minutes, Safari would not completely load the page not load completely. If I turn off my wifi then return (on the macbook), the page will load temporarily. On the other hand, Firefox does not have this problem and loads web pages normally. Possible reasons or solutions?
I do not think that the problem comes from my internet connection or your router because my iPhone Safari normally connects under the same network.
I use a Macbook Air, OSX V. 10.11.3 (El Capitan)
Go step by step by step and test.
1. turn off the power to the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it in, back to the wall. Turn on the router. Wait for all lights are light up properly. It will take a while.
Restart the computer.
Boot mode safe.

I have a MacBook Pro under OS X 10.5.7 and an iPad running iOS 6.1.3 2.
On MAC, I have Firefox for MAC v 19.0.2 and Safari 6.0.3
The iPad, I have only Safari for iPad. I always use Firefox as my browser for the MacBook, but there is no Firefox app for the iPad.My Safari bookmarks automatically updated the MacBook to the iPad, but not Firefox for iPad. Is it possible for the auto update from Firefox instead of Safari to the Safari.app iPad? If not, is there an easy way on the MacBook to hold Safari bookmarks up-to-date with bookmarks in Firefox, so that the iPad share my Firefox bookmarks?
If this is not possible now, you count that is possible for MAC users who also have an iPad?
