Safari group tabs

In Safari 9 El Capitan, you can group tabs in FF, adding a topic to the group, such as investment, media, etc,.

A solution would be to have a window of tabs on the investment, a window of tabs of media and so on.

  • my group tabs show up like the stack of pages, I used to see everything at once, how do I get it back like that?

I think that my questions clear enough

I don't know what that looks like, but I found that add ons that enhance the groups tab.

Is there an add on who did this is no longer compatible with version 35? If so, to get that back you will need to download and reinstall the old version of Firefox, which I do not recommend for safety reasons.

  • Firefox does not recognize groups tab when it starts after a crash.

I am running 29.0.1 on Win 7/64 - laptop HP dv9843cl with 4 GB of RAM (the max that puppy will support). I use TabGroupsMgr (which I love) with about 100 pills spread over 5 or 6 groups and periodically FF delivers a message that it is running out of memory (entirely reasonable). After the third time I get the message, I stop FF and after a minute or two, I start it upward, choose to restore the previous session. It comes up with a tab in a tabgroup and an another tabgroup with all the rest inside tabs. She does every time at startup. If I can do SessionManager/tools/BackupSessions and select the previous browsing Session, it restores the program perfectly with all the groups tab and the tabs to its seats in the right-wing groups. Weird, Yes?

    Looooove Firefox...

Without Tab Mix Plus, all TabGroups loading properly with the restoration of the previous Session. Thus, Tab Mix Plus is the culprit. Thank you for pushing me to the root of the problem...

I have since warned the author of Tab Mix Plus, asking him to check it out...

    Thank you again...

  • No way to group tabs?

This may not be a question as a function of demand. But I was wondering if Firefox will always have a way of grouping tabs (similar to group bookmarks in folders). I keep a lot of tabs open, such as topics in the forum that I refresh and watch constantly. It would be useful to group them so that they will not make the bar tabs together so long.

You might drag one tab rather than another to turn them into a group (and add multiple tabs by dragging on this group). We could then hover over the group to display the list of tabs in there. This would be very useful, so I hope that happens soon. Thank you.

Firefox 4 will be a feature called panorama that allows to group tabs. To learn more about Firefox 4 see http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/beta/features/

  • How is it, I don't have a users/groups tab on my ESX Server to create users with permissions web admin?

I have a server ESX 3 and I am connected using root for the virtual server Centert account.  I want to add a user to access the admin web pages, but there is no users/groups tab when I select the host in the left frame.   No idea why and how can I allowed?

    Thank you

Your vCenter server is a member of this domain?  If so, you can add users directly.  If this isn't the case, then you must go to your Vcenter windows machine.  Create local windows inside of vCenter machine users.  Then, use these user accounts to apply permissions on virtual machine objects in the vi client.

  • How to resize pin tabs / deal with problems of Group tab in Firefox 22?

With the automatic update of Firefox 22, my pinned tabs have swelled in size; not only this horrible aspect, but it reduces the real estate available for the other tabs. While NoSquint has solved the problem with websites randomly resizing themselves, everything else (menu add-on, toolbar icons) has also increased in size, which affects what can be displayed.

Another problem with 22, this is my tab groups are there is more normally: I click a group and another group moves around the screen, usually jump behind the original group I clicked on. Suggestions to improve these problems are very popular.

Hello, firefox 22 is now about the density of pixels you have upgraded to system in Control Panel > appearance > display. more information on this topic is available at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/make-the-text-on-your-screen-larger-or-smaller

If you want to set the text size/pixel density in firefox is different that your system settings as it has been addressed in previous versions, enter about: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named layout.css.devPixelsPerPx. Double-click it and change its value to 1.0 (or any zoom factor that fits your purpose; 0.8 is equal to 80%, 1.15 is 115% and so on...,-1.0 is the default and will comply with the configuration of the system).

  • 'group tabs' migration to a new computer

My HARD drive is a failure I'm trying to back up EVERYTHING. Is it possible to save my "tab groups" so they can be restored on a new HARD drive? I use win 7 Home Premium 64-bit system.

Yes, I printed the referenced article. Because nothing will be available on the new HARD drive. I copied the backup profile and when the HARD drive gets here, I'll follow the signs to replace the new default profile.

Thanks for such a quick reply and these good guidelines.

  • Safari windows/tabs closure after computer restart

Before all the tabs in Safari would remain open (even after restarting the computer) until I have to stop them, which was a feature I really enjoyed. As of today, it closes after every stop, and I don't know why. I made the Version 10.10.5 security update and update of Safari Version 9.1, cleared cookies and history, and nothing seems to fix. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  • How much RAM it groups tabs use (on average)? Should I beware of groups and how much I have create?

I can go overboard in creating groups of tabs. I say this because now my system begins to act a bit lazy. I created 7 groups, two of which have 9 or 10 tabs. Should I shoot the number of groups I create (as well as the way in which several tab located within each group). In other words: how much RAM tab groups use. How can I calibrate or understand the trade off between these markers and the amount of RAM they are using?

You can see the use of memory on the topic: memory page.

You can open on: pages through the bar of addresses as you open a Web site.

    FF4 b6:
Vertical scan 3 finger scroll to top/bottom of page.
    FF4 b7:
Scan in 3 fingers up does nothing, down shows tab groups.

HOW CAN I CHANGE BACK? is there something I can do?

  • I refreshed FF because it was slow to start. Now, I've lost all my groups tab.

I am running Ubuntu 14.04. I still have a "Old Firefox data" folder on the desktop, despite having ghosts to a previous installation (using Norton Ghost, running Windows in a system dual boot).

Is it possible to cancel this unfortunate "Refresh" FF please? I lost 80 + tabs and I will be very reluctant to "Refresh" FF ever...

sessionstore.js is closing Firefox and not so Firefox is running.

You can save session files in the sessionstore-backups folder in the Firefox profile folder to keep possible significant session data.

previous.js (cleanBackup: copy of sessionstore.js from previous session that was loaded successfully)
recovery.js (latest version of the sessionstore written during runtime)
recovery.bak (previous version of the sessionstore written during runtime)
upgrade.js-<build_id> (backup created during an upgrade of Firefox)

You can copy a file in the sessionstore-backup folder to the main profile and rename sessionstore.js file to replace the current file (make a backup of the current sessionstore.js).

  • How to prevent the loss of all my tabs in all my groups when you close Mozilla?

I use grouped tabs. I only have one-stop shopping (i.e., a group) has opened at a time. Yesterday () and the close Mozilla (v. 42.0) I received a warning that X tabs were closed. X is big enough for all tabs in all groups was needed. When a group of windows/opening, I closed Mozilla. When I started today, the window that has opened has all my pinned tabs, but not the other tabs and when I clicked on the icon "your tabs to group", all the other groups had disappeared. I spent hours to find an older version that would bring basic information today, but it was old - don't have my newest pinned tabs and many, many of my most recent tabs in my groups. I went through the history of this month to try to find the missing labels. I will have to spend the last months of history as well (but ran out of time today). When I tried to close Mozilla tonight, I got this message it would close X tabs again. I can't lose all this information - it is essential to my work. I chose to not disable Mozilla (and, therefore, not my computer) hoping someone can tell me what to do so I don't lose all this information again. Obviously I can't just let it run 24/7. (It's a laptop and I have to travel with her). Help, please.

See Preferences-> general-> Firefox start. Select "show my windows and tabs from last time ' and you should be fine.

  • all of the tabs displayed in each tab group

For no reason, my tabs together (not sure which add-on I actually use to group my tabs) continued to show only the tabs I placed in groups when I clicked on a group. Instead, all my tabs appear in each group. It makes no sense, it defeats the purpose to group tabs in the first place. I don't know why it does this, and it's confusing and frustrating to use.

For clarity, here's an example: I go to the overall tab that I've marked "personal". It contains two personal tabs that I placed there as well as all the tabs in the last tab group that I was right.

I've spent the last hour as follows:
-Read about groups of tabs by Googling the subject, taken repeatedly for the same basic description of the groups tab add-on.
Googling - my question to repeatedly find the same general forum q & a which does not answer the question, I'll have.

PLEASE DON'T ANSWER THAT AFTER READING MY WHOLE QUESTION AND IF YOU ARE ABLE TO ADDRESS THE SPECIFIC ISSUE I FEEL.

    Thank you!

Try to delete the sessionstore.js file in the profile of Firefox, as well as the backups folder in the sessionstore-backups folder.

Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and groups of tabs open and closed tabs (back) to get lost and you will have to re-create them (take note or bookmarks if possible).

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
  • Once, I created a group of tabs, where can I find to get it back?

I followed the instructions on how to create a tab group and recorded with a group name. I closed Firefox and reopened, but impossible to find a way to get the Group of tabs that I created.

You use just the tab group icon or the hotkey Ctrl + Shift + E

You can choose where to put this icon and it is probably by default in the upper right of the navigation bar, or use the new button

and the Customize option to find and if necessary to reposition the icon.

Tab groups are probably more effective when more than one tab group is created and used. The size of the groups tab can be changed, so that stacked thumbnails view or display of individual thumbnails.
