Safari in 32-bit mode in El Capitan

Hello

For school, my children need access to the Web site that runs 'Shockwave '. They are not currently open.

Navigation online suggestions say run it in 32-bit mode, with instructions on how to do it.

However, when I access the app Safari (version 10), and "Get Info", the check box option is not there to run in 32-bit.

Does this mean that I can't go back now?

Thank you.

Steve.

With Safari 10, you cannot return to running in 32-bit mode, if that's what you're asking.

I am trying to connect to a USB 1.1 device which has incompatible firmware with 64-bit OS X.  The camera manufacturer's instructions for a workaround that allows access to the device to update the firmware, providing support OS X 64-bit.  Of workaround requires me to start in 32-bit mode by pressing the '3' key and '2' during the start cycle.  They show how to check and see if your Mac is in 32-bit mode, but their example does not match my window, and my machine doesn't seem to be in 32-bit mode.   I found several references to this '3' start + "2" keyboard shortcut, but nothing official from Apple.

Please do not recommend upgrading the OS.  The software I'm using is not supported by the manufacturer past Mavericks.

Thanks in advance for any help.

If the software is compatible with the Mavericks like you state that the developer shows you should be able to use the device in 32 or 64 bit.

    Method 1: Start key combination
This will bypass the default mode and use a different mode for single session.

    • If your Mac uses the 32-bit mode by default, press 6 and 4 at startup
    • If your Mac uses 64-bit by default, press 3 and 2 at startup

  • Is there a firefox command argument to load firefox in 32-bit mode?

    Hello

I RHEL6.3, I have the 32-bit versions and 64-bit of Firefox (V10.0.7) installed. I need 32 bits for WebEx (Java plugin) and the 64-bit Flash player.
Currently, I load the 32-bit executable file by running:
    / usr/lib/Firefox/Firefox

Is there a firefox command argument to load firefox in 32-bit mode?
    for example firefox-32 b

    Thanks in advance,
    Simon

32-bit and 64-bit versions are different programs and therefore installed in a directory of different programs, so you must start them in their own program directory.

If you want to start them via a command then you must write a script file to define the correct program directory.

Why don't create you two desktop shortcuts for each of the two versions of Firefox and start them with their own profile?

  • He had to start ff in 32-bit mode

I begin by saying that ff 'help' is far from useful. How pathetic it is meet allegedly possible solutions that are for versions of FF many years ago. No one has even had intelligence to separate the mac from windows help articles tells me that it is run by a bunch of jokers. I searched help articles. Started by [32-bit firefox] got the results of 1010. Went to 1010 results [firefox "32-bit"] ["firefox"32-bit"14"] 1010. Of course, search for help is not sensitive to the sentences. Between the primitivism of research and the total absence of segregation of obsolete items, I have to say that I can't think of any program with the most pathetic support.

Now that I got that off my chest, I just FREAKIN want TO DO IS START of FF IN 32 BIT MODE, SINCE 64 IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH SIBELIUS SCORCH. I searched google for 1/2 hour and did meet the question asked by someone else, but no answer made no sense. I'm willing to remove this program from garbage. And of course, now that I scan down, unlike all other support forums, I have not the possibility to subscribe to this thread. Faithful!
