Portégé R600-102 - Port Replicator connection DVI on Slim 2 problem

I'm setting up a work environment to double screen.

I have connected my Toshiba Slim Port Replicator 2 (PA3603E-1PRP) to my monitor LG (M197WD) cable DVI - D single-link and Belkin (P35952ed) to another monitor via a standard VGA cable.

Although the second monitor works fine, the display on the DVI connection turns off intermittently and returns after a few seconds.

I am running Win XP on Toshiba Portege R600-102.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Elpadre

Hello

As far as I know that the TOSHIBA Mobile Extension software should be updated to the State.
Real software version is 3.87.00.

Go to the Toshiba European page and update this!
Also, please make sure that the BIOS is up-to-date as well!

The use of both VGA and DVI ports should be possible since the R600 are supported by this feature.

  • Portege M400: Port Replicator support DVI and analog monitor

    Hello

I use my Toshiba M400 in the duplicator.
The duplicator has two outputs to a DVI and an external analog output display.

I would use both screens at the same time under Windows Vista RC1.
The port replicator manual mentions that this should be possible depending on the connected computer.

"According to the computer connected to the port replicator, you can connect external monitors to DVI port and the port external monitor and display on both screens at the same time."

Someone he knows the M400 which supports? I only get the external DVI monitor or at work.
(He used to work with my old others and this function was just great).

A big thank you in advance.

    Hello

I'm not sure but pretty sure you cannot connect two external displays at the same time due to the restriction of graphics card for laptop to 100%. You can stretch relative to your office for two screens (one internal and external) or have the same image on laptop LCD and external TFT connected DVI or RGB port.

If I read the sentence you have posted I realized you can use two ports (according to specifications) and use two screens on the same time screens (laptop screen and an external).

All available modes to switch the display to the external one, you can check with the combination of keys FN + F5 or in change of display tab tool mobile extension of Toshiba Service.

  • Tecra M10 and Express Port Replicator, no DVI to Toshiba 20 "LCD output

    Hello

As the bed of the subject line, I will put up a new Tecra M10 with the Express Port Replicator and monitor LCD Toshiba Tekbright 20 ".

The system works on Windows XP, and the ordinary VGA connection on the port replicator works fine when connected to the external LCD.

However, there seems to be no way to get the DVI interface on port replicator, working on the LCD.

I tried to run this utility, and it does not detect the DVI monitor at all.

I have updated graphics drivers Intel for XP, form the Web from Toshiba site and also have the latest version of the BIOS.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you very much

    Hello paul

Your Tecra M10 has DVI port?
Replicator port is not some sort of converter and it will be just a loop through the signal directly from the laptop.
If the computer laptop doesn t supports DVI output you cannot expect to get signal from the port replicator.

  • Tecra A11 - USB is not loan Express Port Replicator II

    Hey people,

1 USB mouse and USB keyboard are not ready to use so that until that Windows7 is fully loaded (BIOS Mode)

    2. There are USB devices such as USB-HDD, TV Tuner, telephone mobile-station host connected to the port replicator. Laptop remains in the Boot Logo screen and does not start until I have disconnect all devices. So I have to disconnect it, restart it and anchor it again. quite annoying.

    3. using the 64 bit version of WIndows 7 and playback sound stops regularly for 2-3 seconds when I use the speaker plug from the docking station. Using the plug in the laptop itself - no problem.

I am absolutely fed up with it. Anyone have any idea?

    Thank you!

    Hey Buddy,

With regard to the problem of USB:
You have enabled USB legacy support in the BIOS? As far as I know, there is always such an option in the BIOS and it must be allowed, if you want to use USB devices before Windows starts.

And using his most recent drivers for your laptop? You can check it on the Web from Toshiba site if a newer version is available:

  • Two screens DVI on Port Replicator II with Tecra S10-160

    Hello to all 2!

Right now I'm working with two external 19 "TFT screens connected to the Port Replicator II (Tecra S10-160 inside with closed screen). A display is connected to the DVI port available, the other is connected on the available on the Port Replicator II VGA port.
A single display (DVI) is used as the main office, the other (VGA) is used as office improved (both show different content).

My problem is the poor quality of the VGA signal and the problem, my two new screens are only supported DVI.

Is it possible to connect two DVI displays to the DVI - D Port Replicator II? I already checked several DVI-Y-cables, but I'm still looking for a solution connect two displays via DVI with the function to get two split screens and not the same content on both screens.

Hope you got my point and have information or ideas for products for me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Have you already tested a VGA to DVI? So, you can use the VGA connector on the port replicator and your monitor's DVI port.

I mean such a cable like this

Such an adapter you can always use the function to get two split screens and not the same content on both screens. :)

  • Tecra A9 - connection of two external monitors using Express Port Replicator

    Hello

I have a Tecra A9 and Express Port Replicator.
I'm trying to connect 2 external displays, one connected to the output of the laptop and the other connected to the docking station (notebook lid closed, do not use the laptop screen).

I can't get to work, anyone know if this is possible?

    Hello

I think you want to connect a VGA monitor and the other to DVI port.
    Is this good?

    Well, I found this doc:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB7B0201000CR01.htm

Depends on used Tecra A9, if you can get a picture on the DVI port on the Express Port Replicator (PA3508E-1PRP) or not.
The DVI port on the on the Port Replicator Port Express is supported only on computers with graphics card ATI or nVidia.
If you have a DVI INTEL graphics card port on the on the Express Port Replicator only is NOT supported.

  • Portege R500: external monitor does not work with the Port Replicator Port 2 and DVI

I have a Portege R500 running Vista with a slim Port Replicator II and digital monitor Viewsonic.
I connected the monitor to the DVI port on the port replicator and got it to work OK.
Press fn + F5 would switch between the computer screen and the external monitor.

Then it stopped working, and I can't make it work at all. F5 recognizes just the laptop screen.

If I connect an analog display, it is fine, and I can pass between the two screens without difficulty.

The strangest thing is that, if I reboot when the Portege R500 is docked, the digital monitor begins by displaying the boot sequence, but then the signal is lost as soon as the screen stops the display of the progress (in low resolution) bar.

I spent an hour on the phone to support Friday, and he made me nowhere.
They finished by saying that he should never have worked! So what is the DVI port because then?

    Any ideas?

    David

Connect your monitor directly to your laptop and see if it is recognized and you can go through FN + F5 between the two views.
If it works, then connect with port replicator, and then try again.

It's probably best if you reinstall display drivers. Maybe there are new too on the download page.

  • Tecra A9 does support DVI-port replicator Express

    Hello

does the Tecra A9 (PTS52E-01T02NGR) support the DVI-port of the express duplicator?

The manual (for Tecra A9, Tecra S5, Satellite Pro S200) says this, but the screen is black, if I connect the monitor via DVI port. It works using VGA, but poor quality (interference).

My colleagues all have the same problem. We use different samsung TFT; the operating system is Win XP Pro.
The manual also says "..." Maybe some DVI monitors can be used... "but before testing the other monitors, it would be interesting if there is no DVI at all...

    Thanks for your help!
    Daniel

Depends on used Tecra A9, if you can get a picture on the DVI port on the Express Port Replicator (PA3508E-1PRP) or not.
The DVI port on the Port Replicator Port Express is * supported only on computers with graphics card ATI or nVidia *.

If you have a DVI INTEL graphics card port on the on the Port Replicator Port Express is * DO NOT supported *.

  • Tecra A9 - Express Port Replicator: DVI does not

I recently bought a Toshiba Express Port Replicator for my laptop Toshiba Tecra A9 PTS52E because I need DVI to connect my external monitor to the laptop Tecra A9 has only a built-in VGA.

After you connect the laptop to the monitor I get no output on the external monitor, however. Descriptions of Replicator Port Express said that it has a DVI - D, my monitor has a DVI - D and the cable is a cable DVI - D single link so everything * should * work.
I don't get out Visual at any time, nor in the BIOS (I can't find any options BIOS based DVI as well) or the OS.

What is the trick to get this working? I have tested the monitor on the other workstations and the VGA out of the docking station works with other monitors as well, but unfortunately not via DVI with that I want to use.

    Hello

Like many I know the on some series laptop Port Replicator DVI port unusable if the laptop doesn't supports this port!
For example, the Tecra M1, M2 can use the DVI - D port and Tecra S1 cannot use it!

  • Tecra M3: Failed to connect to the double monitors w / Advanced Port Replicator III

I use a Tecra M3 I put it in place for an III Advanced Port Replicator and I can't dual display to work properly. I have a monitor connected to the DVI port and then another connected to the VGA port. It seems that the laptop is the 1 view and can get only one monitor to work. How can I get the two external monitors to work?

    Thank you
    MBorchardt

    Hello

In my opinion, you can use a single external screen because you can choose between analog display, the TV and digital flat screen. As far as I know, you can use the FN + F5 keys to change between display devices and can only be set to an external TV or CRT and LCD monitor internal. But not to external displays.
In addition, I propose to refer to External monitor in the manual which is preinstalled on this device.

    Good bye

  • Use of DVI port on Port Replicator II with Tecra S11 - 11G

    Hello together,

    I use a Toshiba Tecra S11 - 11G with port replicator.
I use an external monitor L1950, it is connectetd with VGA cable.

Now, I want to use the DVI Port of port replicator, but the monitor did not detect the signal.
Is it possible to use the DVI connection?

    Kind regards

    Michael

    Hello

Your Tecra A11 does not support DVI port
The Replicator replicates the ports available for laptop. But if the mobile phone does not support a certain port, then the port replicator is not able to reproduce such interface so I guess that's the reason why DVI ports could not be detected using port replicator.

PS: did you install the driver provided with USB 2.0 Port Replicator II package

  • Connection of two screens on the PA3508E-1PRP Port Replicator

    Hello

Anyone know if you can connect two screens on the port replicator? and use it with the option "extend my desktop" in Windows?

    Thank you

    Concerning

It seems that you're talking about the Toshiba Express Port Replikator for Portege M400.
In my view, the Port Replikator Express supports simultaneous use RGB & DVI only if the portable computer system unit itself also supports the simultaneous use of RGB & DVI.

  • No Audio or USB ports with Port Replicator 3 and Portege R600

I have a problem between my Port Replicator 3 (PA3681E-2PRP) and my Portege R600-13 X (Win7 Pro 32-bit). Everything has been working well for the past few months until a week ago. My PC has developed a problem then that plugged on the Port Replicator, it will not recognize something new that is connected to the USB (two PC & Replicator ones) ports, the Replicator audio output no longer works and the PC hangs during shutdown. Everything is OK with the PC when booted without the Replicator, but as soon as it is connected to the port replicator, in this case.

I tried looking for information about this problem, but nothing helps... Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated as it is to set up a business and I need it to work properly.

    A few things to try:

Reinstall the Toshiba Value Added Package.
Use system restore to restore Windows to a previous state.
Check the connector for docking station for damage.
Back up your data and perform the recovery.

If its still does not, then I would send the laptop and the Port Replicator Port for an ASP for repair.

    Hello

I didn t find all the information about the Advanced Port Replicator II but I found some info on Advanced Port Replicator III and the simultaneous use of RGB & DVI ports

So the point is it's possible * ONLY * if portable system unit _itself also includes simultaneous use of RGB & DVI support_.
