I get the same updates to KB2729450 on WinXPx86 for NETFRAMEWORK 2.0 SP2 can someone tell me what is happening? How can I get rid of the yellow shield that keeps telling me to install the updates for this?

I solved the problem by downloading the >

  • This update that kb2729450 will not be installed on my machine.

This update that kb2729450 will not be installed on my machine. I am running Windows XP SP3. .NET framework 1.1 of .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 .NET Framework 3.0 SP2 and .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 are also responsible... Why the many versions?

The yellow security shield appears in the status bar. I click on the shield and the Update window opens. I select the "quick installation" and the installation of the update begins. After a few minutes, the message 'Done '. Here's where she spreads all other "Updates" I ran this machine. In the "Done" window, there is only an option button "close"... No button "restart the computer". I click on the "Close" button, the window collapses and the yellow shield disappears... for about 5 minutes, when he reappears! I check the 'Add Remove Programs' in Control Panel, and I don't see that kb2729450 listed. I've "installed" 5 - 6 times, always with the same result. I was struck with this ransomware FBI 4-5 months ago and it was professionally removed. Since I was very nervous when this machine burps.  Also, since the Microsoft Community page, I ran Kaspersky anti-rootkit.  He has reported no problems with this machine

Nope, different from the machine, although I think I solved it.  I "restored" to a point three weeks ago.  After that 'Restore' finished, I have rebooted and within minutes the yellow shield pops up... I installed every 5 or 6 that this KB.  After installation, he went through his screen to normal closing with the radio button 'restart now '.  After the reboot, I checked the area add / remove in the control panel and Voila.  They and KB2729450 are all here.  The machine seems to work very well and also faster than its ever been.

  • The same updates Windows 7 repeatedly attempt to install

So, my sound keeps cutting. Whenever he does I know that Microsoft has decided to install the same update. I'm going to the start menu, and, of course, there are the little exclamation point on the shield. I'll click it... and it will disconnect me, start closing down and the installation. Its always install a part 8. And I'm almost certain it's the same "update" 'installed' and more and more; even if it's Windows, I could be wrong... more strange things happened. How can I prevent this, or at least to get a more useful update that I did not install several times / day and stops at my mute. It is quite frustrating. Thanks :)

  • Same updates offered repeatedly.

Original title: repeateing updates already installed

I use windows vista family premium and microsoft update continues to give the same two updates for download. I have already installed, but windows update tells me repeatedly of updates are available and they are the same updates.how do this repetitive process to two stop.the implemented to date are: update of security for microsoft XML core services 4.0 service pack 2 (KB... 5.4 mb... and the second is... update for microsoft XML core services 4.0 service pack 2 (KB973688) 5.4 MB. Please help me. I like to use windows updates and wish to continue to use this service.

Problem has been fixed... Thank you.

  • Repeatedly offered the same update

Windows Update keeps trying to install the same update (KB981852) again and again. Whenever update is a new update, downloads and installs it. He says that the update has been successfully installed. When the dialog box is closed, a new dialog box appears and wants to download the same update. This is repeated 10 times and I can't seem to stop trying to install this update.

First of all, it's a little strange that answer appears PA bear prior to a post submitted more than 12 hours. before him. Also, it is strange that I never was warned of his assignment until I was informed that it was marked as a response, so I never had the opportunity to react before it has been marked as an answer.

My bad for not specifying not what operating system it has produced, but a quick search on Google for the update number of, whowas in my post, would have revealed that this is a update of security for Windows XP (mine is 32-bit). The machine is the free version of Comcast of Norton Security Suite installed and is therefore always up to date. Norton manages spyware blocking (although the Defender is much less than it is in any case). And of course, Norton provides the firewall (although I had to manually turn off the Windows Firewall three times after installing Norton; it was before installing the update above). It was a totally clean, after being shaped and test of surface, installed Windows XP Home OEM from an installation disc (I am a member of the Microsoft Partner Network). There are three other machines Windows XP here (2 with Pro) and the other with the House, all the 32 bits that had recently reinstalled OS which has not experienced this problem when the same update has been installed on them and all had Comcast of Norton installed before the offered update version. It's news to me that there is a toll free number to get free assistance for the security updates, it seems to be a well-kept secret, that I can find no mention of this inyour research support, on or off the Microsoft Web site.

Yet, none of the foregoing is an answer to my question, as seems to be preferred on the Microsoft Forums, unless it is summarily assumed that the applicant is a fool, then all the possible solutionsobvious are specified, even when the applicant stated that he had tried these thingsbefore asking for help.

In all cases, the problem seems to have been resolved by simply saying to Windows Update to stop advising me of the update.

  • Updated continuously offers the same updates, which I've already refused

I prefer to choose what updates I receive.  No, I never use "automatic updates".  I don't have Office 2007.  Whenever I turn on my computer updated tells my "new updates are available"... but it's the same update, I uncheck every time.  Is it possible to set this kind accepts updates updates thatI don't WANT OFFICE 2007 and managed to stop offering the same thing repeatedly.  It's a waste of time and if there is no way to do leave offer the same update I still refuse... SHOULD THERE BE!

I need a frame that says: "if I rejected this particular update.  STOP ASKING ME!.

If you do not want to install an update via windows update, right-click the update, and click Hide update
