  I have a Samsung Galaxy s3 and can make video calls, but not at first. By default on the phone app is to have video telephony disabled. I had to go to the Skype application settings and turn it on. I had to take advantage of my sister who was trying to videocall me with its new Samsung to do the same. I don't know if that's what happened with yours. Its worth the trip.

  It is also possible that some third party software installed on the computer are in conflict with the video call in Skype software.
  You can check if it works very well in a clean boot state.

  This weekend I installed the current version of the market on a gingerbread 2.3 freshly wiping / reinstalled the base image from Samsung on my Galaxy Tab 7.

  Once logged into Skype I have a message saying video support is now available (I confirm that the video calls are checked by default in the settings), well.

  I ran the tests both on WiFi & 3 G. The other party (Skype on Mac) don't see me as not being a device activated by video, can make audio calls, but not video call. On my side, requesting a video call passes in landscape mode but the video fails to launch and I'm stuck with Audio only. I can try to activate video during an audio call, still no luck, press the icon of camera and nothing happens.

  If the Galaxy Tab 7 is supported, then I have a bug. Help, please. Thank you.

  Answer to myself.

  The test Mac backend used Skype for OS X version 2.8. Yes, version 5 is released for Mac too, but it's so * beep * ugly, office space eater and intrusive, the owner of the laptop wanted to stick to it (because it still works well with pretty much all Skype customers, including iPhones & iPads).

  So after you have downloaded and tried Skype for OS X version 5.3, video calls to Skype Android customers turned to be positive... And very good also!

  Just a reminder also update the 'other end' Skype client (friends / family).

  The owner of this laptop goes back to version 2.8, but held version 5.3 installed and it will pull upward only when required.

  Will be one person to the other working video call for users on our cluster CUCM?  I know that external calls to Cisco TelePresence Server/Cisco TelePresence driver/highway.  But I guess that for phone-to-phone internal video we don't need what it is?

  Point to point call will work without any problem. You may need to have improved license because I believe that it is regarded as a telepresence device.

I'm going to buy my parents a Chromebook (it's just easier for them) and if it is not a way for them to make the video calls via Skype on that OS so I have to transtition them on Google Hangouts. I'd rather not (they're old and set in their ways) but the ease of Chromebooks > using Skype any day.

  I need to print my history of Skype video calls for a partner visa. I have the history of our cat, but I also need our Skype for Skype video calls. I use SkypeLogView but it doesn't seem to show that comes from the outgoing call or incoming is the call of (ie. one that is Skype account data are required of does not appear on the journal only the user name and display name of the other person).
