    Hi rozhanna,

Try the steps mentioned in the link below and check if it works.

It is also possible that some third party software installed on the computer are in conflict with the video call in Skype software.
You can check if it works very well in a clean boot state.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.
On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

If the previous step fails, you can try posting your question in the forums of Skype and check.

    Hello

I want to report a scam call 97059007 today 09:40, 17 August 2016. The girl had an Asian voice and claimed to be yourself "Microsoft." I told him that I do not discuss my company on the phone, or give out any personal information. Then, I clung to the top.

If, however, it is yourselves, please respond to my request. If there is a problem with my account, I wish a response by e-mail.

    Hello

We do not work for Microsoft.

We are mainly volunteers here, just like you, computer users who give free advice from other users in our own spare time.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Here's the advice we give normally on such calls and how to report them:

    It's a scam.

Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.

You are the only person who knows if you gave them remote access.

If you gave them remote access and you do Internet banking, contact your bank, to explain, and change passwords.

If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.

And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

And Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.

There is an article in the link I'm you provide at the end of this one

    Read this Information from Microsoft:

"Avoid scams to phone for tech support.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Don't be fooled of unsolicited calls. Don't provide personal information.

Here are some of the organizations that cyber criminals claim to come:

    • Helpdesk Windows

    • Windows repair center

  • What is the video card of larger size who can adapt to the Alienware X 51 R2 without modification?

I plan on upgrading my graphics card and food, a GTX 970 and a 330w PSU.  I know that the card evga with a fan will work, but as it is currently out of stock everywhere, I was wondering if a PNY card that uses a similar cooler would work. On Newegg, it says that the card is 9.72 inches, but I heard that only a 9.5 inch card adapt.

I have a GTX 660 9.5 "X 51, which fits very well, I think that a map of 9.72" would both fit without hitting the suction fan. You can easily check by measuring the... Remove your existing graphics card and measure the distance between the rear of the case and the front suction fan - if it's more of a 9.72 "then it will fit.

    Hi Eddie,.

As the person receiving the call is able to hear and unable to see, we need to check if the video settings are set correctly.

Which application do you use to make video calls?

  • I tried to make calls through yahoo in vain, despite you follow the video instructions.

I start with yahoo messenger by selecting actions, video call - my online contacts - call ringtone goes on seconds, then stops. Why?

What I'm saying is that your problem is probably with Yahoo.  Yahoo is not Microsoft.  If you have problems with applications created Yahoo, you should look at using Yahoo.

If you have a Sony TV and that you connect a Sanyo DVD player and whenever you play a DVD, he jumps at the beginning of the film after 10 minutes - you would probably not call Sony for help with the DVD player.

Same concept - just more virtualized and may be stacked.  Yes - your Yahoo product is installed on a Microsoft product.  So it could be a problem in Microsoft - which is why I asked if there was a reason you came to believe it was the Microsoft product rather than the product of Yahoo who seemed to be all your question was.

I guess these are the instructions that you use?
    http://help.Yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en_US&y=PROD_MSNG&page=content&ID=SLN1043

Pay particular attention to this part:
"In addition, in order to start a video call with another contact both users must have the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger."

    Hi geraldmallinder,

    1. What instant messaging program that you are using?

    2. were you able to make video calls before without any problem?

    3. you will remember to do recent changes on the computer before this problem?

  • Video call of Facebook app does not work

I tried and tried to install the video calling of Facebook application. I downloaded the executable, but it does not work. When I click on the file, the "Run" dialog box appears, I click on "Run" and then nothing happens. I tried to solve the problems of compatibility and Windows tries to run in XP compatibility, but it still doesn't work. Of course Facebook is no help at all. I tried to run it as administrator (even though I'm the admin & signed this way). I don't know what else to do. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

    1. are you able to install any other application?

    2. don't you get any message or an error code when you try to install the application?

    3. do you remember the computer before the issue?

Try these steps and let me know the status.

    Method A:

Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall/

    Method B:

Try to set up your computer in a clean boot state, and check if the same issue occurs

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.
