SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 Flash drive

Just got this hard drive.  Connected to the USB 3.0 port. Drive inserts and re-inserts constantly.

Car in the USB 2.0 port and drive is ok.

Player is supposed to be USB 3.0, but does not work in the USB 3.0 port.

Looks like my USB 3.0 hub is a failure.  Thank you

  • SanDisk Extreme USB 3.0 Flash drive does not work in Win7 / 64 x

Well, it seems that after more than a week of messing around with this for, and finally give up and seek help, I could solve a few hours after doing so. After a lot of searching on Google, one of the things I had seen repeatedly was that the drive letters change can solve the problem. When I first had the problem, I did, and it did not fix the problem. However, somewhere between initially and after patching doing so in my original post, as well as several other elements are not, looks like my original problem has been resolved, and that the drive letters change was actually the origin of the residual problem with the same symptoms. The USB key now works in my USB 2.0 ports original or USB 3.0 adapter card TL; DR: changing the drive letter for the drive solved the problem, but only after a myriad of other changes. Thanks for the comments.

  • Try to install Windows 7 from the SanDisk USB 3.0 Flash drive...

I spent days trying to find a solution to this, but nothing helped. I am trying to install an image pre-configured on a new Dell Latitude E5530 and Dell Precision T3500 (our two standard workstation deployments). At the prompt 'Where would you install windows?', I chose the disk/partition and get a message "Windows Setup could not create a new partition system.

Before I begin to explain - I made this configuration will leave if it is thousands of times with disks USB 2.0 without problem. (It installs custom and preconfigured win 7 for an enterprise environment.) The images we use are fine - they work with other USB 2.0 readers)

    Material:

    Dell Latitude E5530 / Dell T3500

128 GB Samsung SSD (Dell OEM) / Western Digital 320 single disc and two disks in RAID 1 (RAID Intel)

Installation drive: SanDisk Extreme 32 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive

    Software:

    Windows 7 32-Bit Enterprise Edition

-Pre-configured image and answer file, custom (install.wim)

Here's what I've done previously. None of this worked at all:

    • Clean the disk target (SSD) with diskpart (own > create > active > format (NTFS) > attribute).
    • Clean the installation USB 3.0 drive and install re-copied the file several times.
    • Cloned the installation drive USB 3.0 from a well-known work 2.0 USB drive.
    • Addition of the latest Intel USB 3.0 Boot.wim in the USB 3.0 drivers installation disk.
    • Tried manually navigate and load the drivers of intel USB 3.0 while the selection of drive / configure screen (they seem to load but the error persists)
    • Boot order set to the target drive / array at the top of the list
    • Off the other boot devices.
    • Operation change of SATA (AHCI, SATA, RAID, etc.)
    • I tried different ports USB 3.0 and 2.0.
    • Tried with laptop in itself and dock.

It seems that the Windows 7 installer will not work on this USB 3.0 flash drive anything (not even on 2.0 ports). Each search than I on this subject shows results that relate to an upgrade install or simply clean the score target and marking as active (what I've done, and what does not). I can't, for the life of me, understand what the limitation or the problem, it is that is causing these installs do not work.

I don't have the option to try different USB 3.0 drives. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Nighthawk R8500, USB 3.0 Flash drive not recognized USB 3.0 Port, Port of only 2.0

My Nighthawk R8500 router with the latest firmware, V1.0.2.54_1.0.56, does not recognize my SanDisk Ultra Fit 128 GB USB 3.0 Flash drive when it is connected to the router USB 3.0 Port. The Ultra Fit is formatted in FAT32 and works fine when plugged into USB Port 2.0 router or my laptop.

At first, I thought maybe USB 3.0 Port on my router wasn't working at all, but it recognizes my SanDisk 16 GB Cruzer USB 2.0 Flash Drive that is also formatted FAT 32. Unfortunately both my laptop have USB 2.0 Ports, so I don't know if the problem is with the router or the Ultra Fit Flash Drive. Everyone knows about this problem of their Flash 3.0 player is not recognized in USB 3.0 Port their router, especially with a SanDisk Ultra Fit? This problem can be resolved through firmware? I'd really like to take full advantage of the speed of USB 3.0 as I like to share files through my router via ReadyShare and ReadyCloud.

Thanks in advance for any help, Carlos

  • Satellite A200-1AE does not recognize the USB 2.0 flash drive

I have a problem because my satellite A200-1AE with Microsoft Vista does not recognize the USB 2.0 flash drive. He asks me a program/software!
The same USB works without problem on other computers with vista!

    Someone knows what to do?

    Hello

First of all, you must disconnect all USB devices and must remove the USB ports and controllers in the Device Manager.
After this procedure, you must restart the laptop. After a new restart the Vista operating system should recognize the USB ports and should reinstall USB drivers again.

Then you must update the Vista to the State! All fixes and patches must be installed. Please note that you will have to visit the MS Update site for all patches

Notes; MS has released a beta of Vista SP1. I installed it on my laptop and it has solved several problems.

  • PNY attached 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive recognized but does not work under the Windows 7 operating system

I have an attached PNY 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive that works perfectly on Windows XP. But when I try to use it on a Windows 7 operating system, it is very few recognized by Windows 7. I mean at least, is that when I look for the device by exploring 'Computer' in the menu start the device does not appear at ALL. However, when I go to control panel-> hardware and sound-> devices and printers, it shows a device called "DISK 2.0" which I believe are 'minimum' recognition of this 8GB flash drive, I was talking about. Can someone help me get the recognition for this camera on Windows 7? Thank you.

Edit: I noticed in Device Manager-> USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE-> Propteries the following for my optical mouse Microsoft and the PNY 8 GB flash drive

The Microsoft Optical mouse is the location: Port_ #0001.Hub_ #0004

On the MagicJack (USB Composite device) is the location: Port_ #0002.Hub_ #0007

On the flash drive is the location: 0000.001d.0002.002.000.000.000.000.000

3rd place property looks pretty weird (Im assuming that third location data for the flash player, since the only other USB devices are my Microsft mouse and the MagicJack I know is a composite device, but I'm wrong.  AMD Athlon 64 3200 + 1GIG memory ATI Radeon X800XL 250gig W.D. hard drive

    Hi Faisal,.

What is the brand and model of the computer?

You will need installed USB 3.0 drivers on the manufacturer's Web site work with the USB 3.0 flash drives.

Try the methods provided below and see if they help to resolve the issue.

    Method 1:

This problem occurs because the USB 3.0 device is not completely inserted in the port.

The USB 3.0 supports the devices USB 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0. The first layer of pins inside the USB connector are for USB 1.0 and 2.0 ports. The second layer of pins inside the USB connector is USB 3.0 ports. Therefore, to resolve this problem, make sure that the USB 3.0 device is inserted in the port.

    Method 2:

Uninstall and reinstall the USB drivers and check if it helps.

To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps:

  • Is it safe to buy SanDisk Ultra adapt USB 3.0 flash drive in all sizes for their part start?

    Hello

I just read your incompatible experiences regarding the ability to boot from different readers of Sandsisk.

To be more precise, is it safe to buy the discs above (North American model numbers):

    SDCZ43 - 016G - A46 - 16 GB

    SDCZ43 - 032G - A46 - 32 GB

    SDCZ43 - 064G - A46 - 64 GB

    SDCZ43 - 128G - A46 - 128 GB

at the start of one of them.

Under Windowss, you can use FAT, FAT32 for sizes 32GB or less, NTFS for 64 GB or more. Ok.

I've always wondered how to do a 64GB or more large disk bootable under Linux or Mac OS X?

    Thanks for your clarification!

SanDisk did not burst as the hard drives over the years.  Is there the sellers offering some of the old stock, no doubt.  There sellers of counterfeit discs, certainly.  Are there readers used sellers, certainly. Are there vendors selling readers and not allowing them to return if the buyer is unhappy, certainly.

So, rather than worry about the model numbers, worry to buy from a reliable source, so if you have a problem you can return. Quickly & easily.  New SanDisk flash drives are all seen as removable Windows.   And Easy2Boot will make them bootable., even on the new UEFI systems, which should be more a problem starting model guarantees.

  • How to boot from a USB - Portege R500 flash drive

    Hello

I have a Portege R500 running Windows XP, presented about 2 years ago and recently contracted a virus that has infected some of the startup files as the minute I connect it disconnects again, even in SafeMode! The quickest way I can think sorting is to reformat with the XP Recovery disk and reinstall windows.

Problem! The CD/DVD drive on the computer laptop stopped working earlier, tried almost everything in the thread on this site, but had no luck.

So my plan was to boot from a USB flash drive and do it this way. However in the boot parameters I only have the options of HARD drive / floppy drive / CD-ROM / LAN, none of them work. Does anyone know how to boot from USB flash drives?

Any help would be really appreciated

    Hello

As far as I know, it should be possible to boot from USB FDD

I don't know if you would be able to boot from a USB flash drive, but it of certainly worth a try m

Generally, you can try to press the F12 key when the laptop is turned on.
A start menu should appear on the screen, then you should see all bootable devices.

PS: as far as I know the USB startup was available in ToshibaHWSetup (tool of Toshiba which changes the settings of the BIOS under windows OS.) So I guess boot from USB must be possible.

  • How can I make USB mp3 player/flash drive bootable?

    Hello
I have a big problem. Less than a month ago, I backed up my computer using the latest version of Norton ghost 10.0. I then burned the data on a DVD and I kept it safe. today I encountered a problem, I just couldn't cess internet on my laptop, install/uninstall a program, or access help and support. so I got the DVD in the DVD drive backup, I open Norton ghost clicked recovery and then clicked on restore my computer. I told where to look for the backup and restoration began, but then I came across an error message that says the following:

Cannot complete the restore point recovery d:\Toshiba ghost image001.v2i

-EC8F178F error: unable to complete the restoration of recovery point: D:\Toshiba ghost image001.v2i.

I have another way to restore the data, that it is thanks to an mp3 player or flash bootable disk, the computer, but on the flash disk, the operating system there. is it possible to do the flash drive bootable.
I would like to know this, because if it starts the flash or mp3 disc I can then delete the contents of the hard drive and restore data.

and also when you try to restore, he said a file or program using the sound trying to restore.

    Hello kamal

The best way to start the device in DOS mode is to use the external floppy drive. This disc is not expensive and if your data is so important, you can invest a few dollars to buy it. Using the startup disk that you'll be able to boot into DOS mode and do what you want to do.

I also recommend you to contact Norton and see if they have a solution just how to install the created image.

With mp3 player, you will not be able to start.
