  5 seconds more late to appear the screen computer has restarted.
  I searched some on this problem on the internet and think that there was a problem with the graphics card. Therefore, I tried to remove and re - install the driver (with driver on toshiba download page). However, the problem didn't end even it has been increased. After that, I formatted the computer but the problem is still ongoing. Here some information about the card:

  Track type: Geforce Go 7600
  DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
  Channel of the card: GeForce 7600
  BIOS Information: Version 5.73.22.15.63

  and some information about the computer:

  Laptop: SATELLITE A100-599

  have you checked if your RAM is good? I suggest do a RAM with 'memtest86' test or 'prime95' so you can be sure that your RAM or CPU is either defective or not.

  I may be stupid, but I need help...
  On the toshiba site I have not found all the drivers xp for this model. I just bought a Satellite A100-599, and it has Vista on it, after using Vista for a while I realized that I need to go back to XP, and since the laptop is shipped without drivers xp that I had to search the driver database only when I press on my model, it says "sorry, but this model is not available for the region.

  I even tried to change, but I still get the same problem. OK, after that, I tried to use this search engine to stupid driver it doesn't have a filter to work. Insted of show me only the driver for my model, I show all the drivers for all models.

  If anyone knows where I can find drivers for xp for this model pls plan a response. Thank you

  I have a Satellite A100-599 with a NVIDIA 7600go graphics card and I like most of you Bioshock game crashes because of some problems with the graphic card drivers, no pb... Meanwhile, NVIDIA has released some new patches for the Forceware and after I double checked the database of the Toshiba driver support I've seen a new version in the list of display driver for WinXp.

  One of them seems to be 13/09/2007. I have downloaded the drivers, installed them and then I checked the details of the driver in the Device Manager list and to my surprise the details say that the drivers are since 2006. I reinstalled the drivers and the same thing appeared. I checked the XML that was in archive of drivers and surprise... the drivers really are the 'old' of 2006. So my question is this: you have the display drivers for my model that work for Bioshock :D

  I just bought a Satellite A100-599. It comes with Vista, but I wanted to go back to XP. I have not found any place where Toshiba offers drivers for the PSAARE part number, still less for A100-599.

  Someone had the same problem?
  I could find so far the closest correspondence is on the Canadian website for Toshiba where there is some PSAARC drivers.

  There is no special links. Only the place where you can find the drivers is the Toshiba official download page. If you find no drivers, you must wait. Now Vista drivers are priority and support for Windows XP edition family for new units certainly isn't the first job that Toshiba should do. Please do not see this as a problem. You have a newer laptop with the latest OS available on the market.

  I just recommend you read other topics on this forum about Windows XP Home edition on the new laptops Vista preinstalled. You will find lots of useful information.

  My neighbor has an A100 too, so I looked where is the location of PCMCIA and voila:

  the top is an Express slot and the other is a PCMCIA/Cardbus Slot.

  This is only a bug of Vista ;)
  You n t need to install anything from the Intel page.

  Just remove the CPU entries from Device Manager and reboot the laptop.
  Then the Vista should recognize and reinstall the software and should recognize the processor correctly!

  Unfortunately the 64 bit Vista drivers are not available for this series of Satellite A100 PSAAR.

  Last chance would be installing some drivers unique from other series of laptops that are equipped with the same features.

  Try the driver Vista 64-bit of the other series and maybe some unique drivers will run.

  You can check the number at the bottom of the unit.

  You can find all the drivers available on the page of the European driver Toshiba Toshiba.

  According to some of the suggestions from this forum, you should only use the graphics driver Toshiba because these drivers support the overheating protection which is necessary to protect the GPU from damage.

  No, this is not possible.
  Laptop technology is different from the technology of desktop PC and therefore updates such as CPU or GPU are not easy or not possible.

  Especially the GPU (graphics chip) is soldered on the motherboard and the branch as a whole must be replaced if the chip of damages for example.

  If you n t want to miss the graphic performance, either you are going to buy a new laptop (desktop PC) with a stronger graphics card or you will switch to an external graphics card.
  But in my opinion this is no logic to use an external graphics card.
