Satellite A100 - battery rest led lit Orange

Hello

The battery rest light color Orange/orange and the battery symbol on my task bar constantly States ' 87% available (plugged in, load). I'm connected. If I remove the card, the computer is de-energized immediately.

I tried a new original Toshiba 'Battery', but I had the same problem. The only difference is that the battery symbol on my task bar constantly States "70% available (plugged in, load).

I checked the battery contacts and the computer, they look very good.

What should I do?
Should I install the drivers? Or could it be the motherboard?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A100 - 683 ModelNo. PSAA9E

With sincere friendships.
Chris

Try to start computer laptop without battery and put in place when the OS is fully charged. The same thing happens again? Unfortunately I think that it will not be the difference.

What happens when the laptop is turned off? Battery can be fully charged (green LED)?

I have a problem with the battery of high capacity on the Satellite A100-720. Accidentally I forgot the action of critical battery set to 'No action', so the battery got virtually completely discharged and now the laptop refuses to charge the battery. The orange light comes on, but the NHC program reports no load current and just on 0%.
It is also strange that if I stop the laptop and unplug the power cable and then reinsert, it takes a second or two for the connector blue AC light upward and another a few seconds for the battery charging light illuminates... that's not happened before.

Is there a way to fix this?

    Hello

While the laptop is turned on and connected to the adapter try to remove the battery and put it back up shortly after. Look at what happens and we report.

    Hello

There are no tools or any application that could recalibrate the battery.
You could try to calibrate the battery completely discharge and recharge
This should be done 2 or 3 times in the line.

  • Satellite A100 battery is empty after 1 hour

    Hello

I have a problem with my Satellite A100-720:

When I change to normal energy saver, the battery is empty after almost an hour.
Even if I change to long mode, the battery is empty after 1.5 hours.

    Anyone has the same problem?
Is this normal or maybe my battery is damaged.

Thanks for every answer you need

(And sorry for my bad English)

    Hello

No, I don't think that there is something wrong with the battery.
The fact is that the battery performance is dependent on the use of the laptop and so you can get different results of time.

You said you use the A100. Well, to my knowledge some A100 series laptops have been delivered with a standard battery of 2000mAh.
If you want to use the laptop longer with the power of the battery I advise you to buy an extended battery packs.

On the Toshiba Options & Accessories site you will find various supported batteries.
    Maybe you'll find a Li-ion, 6000mAh battery 9-cell or Li-ion 12 cells, 8600mAh

  • Satellite A100 - battery all night while the power is off

    Hello world

I have a new Satellite A100 and I noticed that when I fully charge it and then turn the power off and remove the plug from the socket, the next day when I stick it back in the socket of the control light yellow says that he is in charge.

So, I turned on the computer laptop and checked is full battery and it says 94%. I let it finish loading at 100% then it off again and came out of the plug. The same thing happened the next day! He held again!

I don't know that I did not in Hibernate mode because I checked all the settings and choose Turn Off to turn off the laptop.

I read on the battery recall, so I searched on the toshiba site and downloaded the program from battery test. The result came out that my battery is not between the serial numbers involved. I even manually checked the number on their list but mine is not supposed to be affected.

Is anyone having the same problems, or is it normal that the battery itself?

Please let me know... Thanks :)

    Hello

It is normal and you should not worry about this. The same thing happen on my Tecra. Please check this Toshiba document on this http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ6301EP000ER01.htm

How to install Microsoft Bluetooth Stack?
I tried the way it is described in the readme file:
Uninstall Toshiba Stack, reboot, install Bluetooth Monitor 2 (I copy the files needed to C:\Toshiba\MS_Bluetooth), restart.
After that, windows wants to install Toshiba RFBUS for which I have no drivers.
There is no way to enter the windows bluetooth [not this control in the Options panel] settings.

    It does not work!

    Hello

DeepBlue is quite right. All Satellite A100 units are not delivered with BT on board. Please see the bottom of your laptop. If BT is available you will find a small stick of BT.

  • Satellite A100 - battery replacement problem

My original battery died after four years. I thought that I'm ok with the machine in general and decided to buy a new battery... I found the following on a Russian in line-shop local, they say, these models will be adapted to my laptop (A100 psaan series):

    PA3465U 4400mAh
    PA3478U 6600mAh
    PA3400U 8800mAh

My old battery is PA3399U-2BRS 4000 mAh

1 will they really for me?

    2. is it worth to buy a large capacity battery? (weight and dimensions are not critical, after all, the laptop is not so small; reliability and long service life is important)

    3. perhaps, it is best to buy a 'standard' size battery to ensure that the conditions of charge-discharge designed or something? They will be charged without problems as overheating/underload?

    4. not sure how "real" these components are... Perhaps, someone could recommend a reliable supplier?

    Thank you!

    Hello

I found a compatible battery on the European Toshiba options & accessories page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/JSP/optionsAndAccessoriesHome.do?
    Battery (Li-ion, 4000mAh, 6 cells) PA3465U-1BRS

    >. Is it worth to buy a large capacity battery? (
Well, if you travel a lot and need to use the laptop with battery, so I recommend buying a stronger battery.

    > 3. Perhaps, it is best to buy a 'standard' size battery to ensure that the conditions of charge-discharge designed or something? They will be charged without problems as overheating/underload?
You must always use original parts and compatible Toshiba. In this case, the parties should work together without big problems.

    > 4. Not sure how "real" these components are... Perhaps, someone could recommend a reliable supplier?
Recommend buying the battery from Toshiba ASP (partner) in your country. In this case, you can be 100% certain that the original parts

  • Satellite A100 - battery held alone for 7 minutes

I have a model A100 PSAANC - VA305C PC and the battery which is PA3399u-213AS. Approximaetly 2 years.

In the recent past, the battery held only for like 7 minutes and now I find that the battery won't charge at all. I hardly use the computer on battery sound mode always on ca.
Can someone help me solve the problem?

    Thank you

Looks like the battery needs to be replaced. Batteries must be completely discharged and recharged at least once a month to keep it cool. Otherwise they wear out quickly.

What version of BIOS you have installed? I found this article: http://209.167.114.38/support/techsupport/tsbs/all/-TSB001281.htm

  • Satellite C650: Battery indicator is always orange even after a full charge

My toshiba laptop C650 has indicator sistem to always load amber.
Even if it is fully charged.

If I disconnect from charger it works on battery long enough, that tell me may battery is ok.
But why this indicator stay amber? Is there a problem?

I have to worry about this?
    Thank you.

    Hello

Usually, the battery indicator should go green (color depending on phone model) if the battery is fully charged.
If the battery indicator changes not amber green/blue then this would mean that the battery is not completely charged
Well, maybe you should try to calibrate the battery once more
Discharge the battery to his completely empty, then load it again until the battery status would show 100% charge then discharge the battery once again this procedure should be repeated two, three times in the line!

If this is not enough, well, you might try a new battery but I put t know if its worth it to buy a new battery if the current battery still works well.

    Hello

    > The battery of my laptop computer only workt for 10 minutes and ofter that my laptop goes to sleep mode.
    > does anyone know how calibrate/solve this problem?

How long do use your battery? Perhaps, he's already exhausted and you need to replace for the nine.
    Anyway, try this:

Unplug the computer from the power adapter and turn it on. Let the computer battery power until the computer turns off, indicating that the battery is fully discharged.
    Remove the battery.
Using a soft cloth, wipe the battery packs connectors and AC adapters.
    Reinsert the battery.
Connect the computer to the power adapter by ensuring that the connection is closed.
When the PC is off, let the battery charge complete
    Disconnect the power adapter.
    Remove the battery.
Wait 30 seconds and reinsert the battery.
    Reconnect the AC adapter.
    Keep the battery fully charged.

  • Satellite A100 - battery life is increased from 100 min to 20 min after 1.5 years

After 1.5 years, the battery life dropped about 100 minutes within 30 minutes.

I thought that the battery was bad, but after that Windows automatically stopped because he thought that the battery was empty. I plugged the power cord for 10 seconds approximately, started the computer laptop, unplugged immediately and let it run in the BIOS screen. It has been running for more than 45 minutes, so that the laptop is off. Then

I guess the battery was still high capacity, but somehow calibration data has become invalid.

Is it possible to calibrate the battery? I have not found such a feature in the BIOS, where all my other phones have such a feature (even if I never need for others!)

    Concerning
    Thomas

    Hello

I think you're a little confused about the duration of battery life and performance of the battery.
But you should t be confused because it is nothing unusual.

After about 500 times charge/discharge, the battery will begin to lose clean performance.
This means that after a longer time of use, the battery performance will decrease and a day you need to replace.

My 7 year old laptop doesn t work on battery power. The power of the battery takes about 2 min same it s fully charged. I know that I should replace, but I use this laptop as desktop Pc. It s always plugged in.

If don t wonder about the performance of your battery. It s normal behavior.

  • BlackBerry smartphones all 4 LEDs lit on VM-605 visor Bluetooth speaker

Unit has worked fine for almost a year. Am in the car this morning and all 4 lights were lit. I put it on the charger. Battery turned LED orange for a bit, then back to red. Never turned green.

What are all 4 LEDs constant average power? Is there a way I can reset this device? Should I just wait until the internal battery runs down completely?

    Thanks for any help,

    Marshall

Apparently, it is news to everyone.

I can tell you all that no combination of keys pressing/holding on the Visor speaker will change or disable the LED display. I can also say that almost anything can have do, no amount of charge will fix it.

That said, the only thing left to do is let it burn until the battery was empty and all the lights had been arrested. It's exactly what I did.

Then, I put it on the charger. He immediately begins a workload with the battery LED RED only. In 3.5hrs, charge finished with battery GREEN LED lit.

I turned on the unit and the British female voice said it to my phone. As nothing unusual happened. Make a call and everything worked normally.

Then, if all 4 LEDs on sun visor Bluetooth Speakerphone VM - 605 are light, let it go ahead and burn the dead battery. Then recharge and everything will be normal.

If the 4 LEDs lit is way of Blackberry to tell the user the battery is low, they should thought to allow loading instead of having to wait until the battery dies completely and THEN the device recharges immediate.

  • Satellite A100 does not power up - LED orange flashing but nothing else

My Satellite A100 laptop fell on the couch and now wont power up,

I get a flashing orange LED but nothing else.
This only happens with the AC adapter is plugged and not with the battery.

What can I do to solve this problem and what should I watch?

    Hello

Try to remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Wait a while (> 2 hours) and then reconnect the two parts.
If the laptop still not, will fuel even using a good power adapter and the battery in good condition, the problem could be related to the problem RAM or the motherboard.

You should also try to delete one (or two modules if you have some spare parts) module of RAM and should try to turn on the laptop.

    Good luck

  • Satellite A100-225: battery power light flash orange

Last night, plugged my AGES of NINE DAYS by Satellite A100-225, the lights were on, it was working fine.

This morning, woke up, lights were turned off, tried to turn it on, the battery power button flashed light Orange.

Tried to play with the cable by plugging it into other outlets that I knew worked, nothing helps.

Have tried to start without the battery in it, without success.

Unless there is a function that can prevent from starting somewhere, I don't know what to say. This computer is nine days old, and I do not understand how something can just wrong all night.

Adding info if necessary - computer was on when I went to sleep, and was running Mozilla Firefox and WinAMP.

    Hello

Perhaps the unit automatically goes in standby mode or hibernation?
On this device, the automatic system standby/hibernation has been reinstalled. This function automatically stops the system when there is no input or material of access for a specified time. You can specify the time and select System standby or hibernation in the base of the Toshiba power saver settings tab.

In addition, if the battery LED is flashing it means that the battery charge is low. The adapter must be connected to the battery.
If it of not possible to charge the battery, so there are several possibilities: the battery could be dead, the AC adapter doesn't work or there is something wrong with the hardware of the laptop.

Try disconnecting the battery several times and then connect.

But according to your ad you tried a procedure and it doesn t work. So I think you should ask the ASP in your country to help.

  • Satellite A100-847 battery led blinks 11 times, absence of motherboard?

    Hello

14 months (only 12 months warranty), I have a Satellite A100-847 was a laptop perfect, but 2 weeks ago the ac-adaptar falls down and since then that if I push the power button the battery orange led blinks 11 times with the same length, but nothing happens.

ASP did not now what this flashing means but think I have a motherboard problem.
Now I found on ebay a Satellite A100-153 and my question is, is this the same motherboard, because it's also 945 PM.
    (Sorry for my bad English)

    [Satellite A100-847: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/jsp/SUPPORTSECTION/discontinuedProductPage.do?PRODUCT_ID=120570&DISC _ MODEL = 1 & service = EU]

    THX.

It seems that two laptop computers support the same motherboard as the Satellite A100-847 and Satellite A100-153 belong to the same series of PSAA9E.
This series uses the same drivers and the same BIOS so I think that the mobo must also be the same.

PS; I think that it is a motherboard problem too. Such a code is displayed only if a hardware failure has been detected on the motherboard.

    Best regards
