  I've got this Toshiba Satellite C650 about a friend who gave me it reinstall Windows7.

  Before you reinstall, I noticed that the laptop has not activate on battery. When I pluged the charger he started and it started once ran on battery without any problem. Also, when it is turned on and that the charger is removed the battery icon do not show how much time left and show unknown time remaining in place.

  When I reinstalled Windows does not solve the problem.
  I've updated the BIOS, but still does not solve the problem.
  I started to think that it's a hardware problem.

  The laptop is new - age one month.

  I'll be very grateful if someone could help me or point me to the solution of this problem.
  The laptop is still under warranty, but I decided to ask here first and here are some other opinions.

  Try this:
  Remove and disconnect the battery and the AC adapter.
  Now let and don t touch the laptop for some time (2-3 hours)
  Then press and hold the power button / stop along 30 sec.

  Now connect the battery and the AC adapter and keep it charge until the battery indicator would turn to green (or blue)
  Then turn on the unit and check how it works.

  PS: its always recommended to calibrate a new battery, that means that the battery should be completely discharged and recharged until 100% was achieved.
  This procedure should be repeated several times in the line

  Just see your questions:
  What model of laptop do you have exactly?
  What system do you use?
  What exactly do you mean by power of LAN?

  I can tell you that the cooling modules are controlled by fan table stored in the BIOS.
  Usually, the fan starts to spin if the CPU would be responsible for some unique applications/processes. It would also be possible that your fan is running continuously with low performance to maintain the low temperature. This isn't a real problem for laptop.

• Satellite C650 - battery won't charge

  Laptop 18 months ago, with Windows 7. Has had a normal household use. In the last days, when the battery has run out and I plugged the AC charger, battery LED green light lights up green (battery charged). And the message I get when I hover over the battery icon is, say, 14% available battery, plugged in, not charging.

  After 400-500 charge cycles the battery begins to lose own performance and sooner or later the replacement is inevitable.

  I think you should try a new battery, but it is recommended to test the new battery before you buy then maybe you can visit a distributor in downtown and test a new battery

  My C50-B-12V Satellite comes with a single port for headphones and microphone. so, if I'm on a Skype call and want to hear more clearly - so I plug in headphones, then the other party ceases to be able to hear me - probably because my headphone plug off my microphone - so I now hear better - but my voice is not going through the computer more.

  I understand that I can fix this problem by purchasing an audio cable y - that will make my 1 port for headphones/microphone in two ports - so I can then plug in earphones and a microphone - and the problem should be solved.

  My question is, is there anyway I can put my computer somehow do not turn off my microphone when I connect headset? Sense - I would like to plug in headphones so that I can hear the other party better - but the computer external microphone would still work?

  With the help of the audio output adapter / helmet there you should be able to connect the headphones as well as the external microphone.

  By the way: you can choose between the microphone and external (if connected) changing the settings in
  Panel of-> sound-> recording tab

  When I start my C650 Satellite for the first time every day the USB ports work perfectly, then after a few minutes, that you hear the-, they stop working and features of disappear of display devices & Printers.

  Reboot during the day makes no difference but the next day to the first commissioning of the USB ports working again. I think that every day they work a little longer, but I have not yet proved.

  Therefore, it would be interesting to know how USB ports work after that USB controllers was removed and installed again. The comments appreciated.

  In addition, you can disable the option that allows to disable USB ports in order to save power. This can be done in-USB Controllers-> properties > Device Manager - > last tab (power management)

• Browser Firefox always empty even after full reinstall

  When I run Firefox, the browser window opens all whites, who quickly turns all black. None of the menu items, tabs, buttons/bars appear at the top of the window - although hotspots are there, hidden, because hovering help appears if I make an assumption with the cursor. If a chance opens a new window, it's also completely black.

  I uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox but this has not fixed the problem. Internet Explorer is working just fine so I have switched to that as a temporary fix, but have lost my favourites.

I followed the instructions and checked remove TOC view, but when testing the folio in the adobe Viewer I still see all the when I press the icon OCD. Is there a way to get around this?   You must update your version of folio. Change it to 25. It won't mess up your folio, but it will require your viewers to be as good as the version.

  There could be some debris in the headset jack. First of all try to blow into it a few times and see if that helps. Otherwise, try to insert and then remove the headphones 8 - 10 times, then see if they are recognized.

  Your battery test shows 0 on the fourth cell.

  There is nothing wrong with the battery, the test is designed for only three of the battery cells, test one of the tests will display 0.
