Usually, you get 2 options which is recommended to restore and choose a different restore point. I don't get any of those.
I do not understand how my other computer (vista) I would like to do system restore to factory settings without using discs and what a custom?

    Hello

You do not use the Vista System Restore feature to put your computer to the factory settings.

System Restore updates only your computer settings to an earlier date.

How to do a restore to factory settings, ask your computer manufacturer.

You would either find a way to start the process under programs > then the manufacturer of the computer software > look it up it > or you will need to press some keys at startup.

It would be either F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them how to do it because it's their recovery process.

Or ask them to send you a set of Vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system.

They should do this for a small fee.

    See you soon.

p.s. Save your files as all data will be lost normally when you perform a restore to the factory settings

  • How to do a system restore in Windows 7

Original title: turn on restoration of the system in windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit edition

    Hello

Before posting my question that I searched for information on how to start the system restore of this forum.  However, after reading several posts I'm not sure what to do.  A post suggests accessing the system of Protection, by selecting a drive and then clicking on configure and selecting one of the options.  In this case I'm not sure which one to choose: recovery or C.  For the moment I turned on recovery (that was turned off) and chosen for the restoration of the points, but I feel that this can be a problem.

Another answer suggested turning on the shadow copy of Volume in the systems that I did too.  Can you please give me step by step instructions on how to run properly on the system restore.  Thank you.

Computor properties > System Protection tab to ensure that the Protection is enabled for the primary drives for example C and not driving labeled recovery or tools

  • Satellite A200 - 1 M 4 - how downgrade from Vista to XP

I got my * _Satellite A200-1M4_ * from Vista to XP pro.
Do I have to downgrade the Bios too and please help me with the necessary drivers for * key to _FN_.

    Thank you

    Hi guys

    I would like to add that the Satellite A200 - 1 M 4 belongs to the * PSAE0E * series.

This series needs a BIOS update after installing XP.
The European driver Toshiba page provides a special version of Win XP BIOS.

In addition, you can find the + Installation Instructions on the page of the driver.

This document provides the proper installation order which is very important to get all the drivers and tools work properly.

  • Satellite A200 - 1 M 8 How can I change the brightness of the screen?

Hello! I have WinXP in my notebook (A200 - 1 M 8). But now keyboard shortcuts not working? What should I do? Thank you!

    The Satellite A200 - 1 M 8 belongs to the PSAE6E series.
To always choose this number if you want to download drivers or tools.

If the FN keys do not work because the drivers and utilities was not installed or the BIOS was not updated to the XP version.

    Please check this!

PS; The update of the BIOS is always risky. The wrong version or the wrong BIOS update procedure can damage the module ROM on the card.

  • Satellite A200 - 14 d (PSAECE): how fast is the base & graphics card memory

    Hello, I would like to ask a question about Satellite A200 - 14 d (PSAECE - 3 004006G).

In the specification, it says there r:
Type: NVIDIA Geforcea? ¢ Go 7300 with TurboCache technology
memory: 256 MB of VRAM dedicated (up to 527 MB of total available graphics memory using Turbocachea? ¢ technology with 2 GB of system memory)
memory type: DDR video RAM (resp. video RAM DDR and DDR system memory combined)

I would like to ask what is the basic and the memory of this video card speed and is not a bad thing that there only DDR ram?

There is also another laptop, with VIDIAA® Geforcea® 7300 Go with 256 MB of Turbocachea? ¢ technology (64 MB of VRAM) dedicated GDDR2 and 192 MB shared system memoirs.

WHAT IS THE BEST? or do I have to look any further for a better?
I would like to buy a laptop and you would help me a lot to choose from. Thank you.

    Hello

I would say that the first one is the best, you have more available videoram and it could be extended much more then the other.
But if you can accept such machine, then wait a little, because the new generation of portable computers equipped with the platform "santa rosa" are coming,
who have a better and better chipset integrated graphics cards.

I can give you a good indication for the moment, but you can perform a search in google for "santa rosa toshiba", so you will probably find something.

  • Satellite A200 - restart Constant preventing re-installation of operating system

OK so I was using my laptop (Satellite A200) and it restarted at random, so it kept rebooting at startup upward.
So I decided to use a recovery disc.
He won't through recovery disks without rebooting, so I don't even have a full operating system.
If I open it in the BIOS, it does not restart, it will remain just work inside.

What is the problem, software, hardware, and how much will it cost to get fixed because I don't think that there is something left I can do more.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

This whole story seems somewhat strange. I really don't understand what is wrong with that, but please try to follow:
-Turn on your laptop and press F12 repeatedly to enter the boot options
-Where the list of boot devices is provided recovery media in the optical disc drive
-In the list choose the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER
    -Follow the on-screen menu

    Can you do this?
    It works well?
    There is a new problem?

  • Satellite L 40 Vista Premium - cannot read the original system restore disk

My satellite L40 was bought a year ago, and so far I never needed the system restore CD. But now I have a missing system file so I will try to re - install. But my computer will not read the CD, if I insert it before starting my computer or windows Vista.
Is there a way I can download the CD to restore the system on the Internet?

    Hello

No you can't download because that would hurt microsoft license stuff. I recommend you ask a partner in your country for replacement, if your machine is still under warranty.

  • How to do a system restore on dates still go back to my computer gives me

I'm trying to restore my laptop to a date more far than its give me... How can I do this?

The amount of available system restore points are limited by what is captured by the computer. System Restore is a difficult process for Windows to do given that it is coming back on every single shot the system to his class one as far as possible. Sometimes due to changes to the system since those snap shots were created, it gets a little bit reliable, trying to go back too far.

If you are running Windows 7 and create regular back ups, System Restore are saved as part of your backups.

In addition, by using the Windows 7 system restore, are will give you the opportunity to show more system restore points.

What files are modified during a system restore?

System Restore affects file system of Windows, programs and registry settings. It can also make changes to scripts, files, batch and other types of executable files created under any user account on your computer. System Restore does not affect personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos, so it cannot help you restore a deleted file. If you have backups of your files, you can restore files from a backup.
