Satellite A200: password appears at startup

Hello

I bought a brand new series of Satellite A200 and wherever I turn on my laptop it is asking for password.

Can someone help me get this password.
How and from whare I can get that.

Kind regards

HM, it seems that it is a related issue of BIOS. In this case, please go first to the drivers download site and download the most recent BIOS for your machine. If the password does not change even after you have completed the update of the BIOS then go to the store where you bought the machine and tell them that your computer has a BIOS password since you bought it.

He thinks they should handle your problem in your interest.

  • Satellite A200 - password disk HARD 'frozen' in the BIOS

Satellite A200 computer laptop does not recognize the HARD drive.
Reconstruction of the disk with Vista or XP - Pro (on another machine) have proved to be unsuccessful.

Originally, continually blue machine armored and quicky restarted, Machine was infected by the virus and Trojans that I believe have damaged BIOS. The BIOS now appears to have 'frozen' a HARD drive password (unknown) which transfers any HARD drive new - perpetuating the problem.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome, thanks.

    Hello

Usually, you should be able to remove the HARD drive password in the BIOS.
You have to put the old HARD drive password must use ENTER to put an empty string as a new HARD drive password and you will need to confirm this
Save the changes and restart again

If this procedure is not possible or does not work then there must be something wrong with the BIOS, module ROM BIOS or motherboard.
Maybe an update of BIOS/reflash could be useful, but generally all passwords must be removed before attempting a BIOS updates, which could be risky
I think you should get in touch with a local ASP and need to ask for help, maybe the technician will be able to reflash the BIOS

  • How to remove the BIOS on my Satellite A200 password?

    Dear Sirs:

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A200 - 10N with number of MODEL PSAE3E - 02D00HGR and mistakenly got a password when you turn on your computer and are lost, the fact is that it is unclear if it was the BIOS or via the utility you have in the Windows Vista operating system.

In any case should reset the BIOS form or another way to do as in the beginning and do not ask for a password.

    Thank you.

    Hi dude

Bad news the BIOS cannot be removed or deleted if you n t know the old password.
In this case, there is only one way to get the free laptop password, you will need to contact the ASP in your country and the guys could do this work.

  • Satellite A200 - 1KO failure at startup

I have a Satellite A200 - 1 k (several years). Suddenly, from one day to the other, it refuses to power upward. There are 5 blue lights to low forehead, which shows power light, on early light shows on, lightweight battery, the next lightight showson flickers and then dies, and the last for the internet access, of course, does not illuminate. In addition, on the right side of the machine, there are a yellow/orange light port DVD projection on, when I press the Start button, but the port will not open, so I don't know if there is a disc inside.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance.

    And what now?
I put t understand what kind of help do you expect now.

You don't see anything on the screen after turning on the laptop or not?
If you want to see if there are drive inside you can manually open optical drive. Normally, there is a small hole under the disc tray. You can insert a paper clip or something similar into this hole and manually open the drive tray.

  • Re: Satellite A200 - sound beep after startup

    Hello world

Recently my laptop has started to be malfuntioning.
Yesterday, after the start (or when you take it out of fashion 'sleep'), it started beeping.

Beep, it's 10 minutes in a row, fast.

I run a stock standard Satellite A200 Windows Vista Help.
I don't know what to do, and over the ringtone (which lasts about 10-15 minutes) I can't do anything - the CPU (I think) simply cannot handle all of the processes. The ringtone comes from the right side of the laptop and is fake, but certainly a sign of a problem.

I believe it has something to do with the motherboard, but I don't know how to diagnose this problem, and after hours of research I have not found someone with a similar problem to mine.

I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum, also the advice to confused and I just can't find a support technique one.

    Help, please

    Hello

If I understand your problem, it seems that you are not able to enter the BIOS and you are not able to boot the operating system Window.
You don't see that the home screen Toshiba so is good?

Hmm, it seems that this sound signal is related to a hardware malfunction
Then maybe the POST (power on self-test) cannot be spent properly and so you get this alert beep

What to say; in most cases it mother s associated with, but it is difficult to say which could be exactly wrong

    Maybe you can try this;
Remove the battery and unplug the power adapter for a few hours
Wait and after a while connect the two parts again
Then try again to turn the unit

If this does not work, then I would recommend asking a technician help in ASP.

  • After Vista x 64 BIOS update the BIOS Satellite A200 password - 1 KB PSAE6 queries

Well, I used the update to the BIOS listed in the updated drivers/bios Toshiba Web site on Windows vista x 64 and of course I used the executable x 64.
Strangely, when I reboot it, he asks a bios password that I never inserted. So I guess that update automatically inserted a password. Now I can't boot from any device so I can not use the laptop.

What you have to say about this?

    Hello MC

You founded some answers? Nobody offered here real explanation which can be wrong there. Perhaps have you contacted partner authorized in your country. They are in touch with Toshiba and I'm sure they can help you about this.

  • Problem with the Satellite A200 and Windows Vista startup

Yesterday, my laptop had some mistakes and tried to stop.
He remained on the screen closed for quite a long time, so I decided to push the power button until it turns off.

When I went to turn it back to the a started going through the normal screens, the Toshiba screen and then the white screen with the Microsoft flag down. At this point, the screen goes completely black and rest that way.

Through starting initial power cord, light is turned on, the power supply is on the HARD drive light and then when the screen turns white HARD drive light turns off and stays off.

I tried to do a system repair using the F8 key at startup and it goes into the Advanced Boot Options menu when I select 'Repair your computer', the light of the HARD drive temporarily, I go through the screens and select System Restore, I selected a date a few weeks and then click Next on the screen indicating the (c :)) system disk is ready to be restored then it returns an error -" (c) drive has errors. Windows has detected corruption in the file (c) system.

You should check the drive for errors before you can restore it "- and at this point, I can only click on the 'check' the drive to find errors, and then click Start, as he chose the option 'Automatically fix file system errors'."

When I click Start nothing seems to happen just on the same screen, the HARD drive light does not come on at all and there is no internal HARD drive noise. The only way I can get out of this screen is to turn the computer off again.

If someone is able to help I would really appreciate it!

    Thank you!

  • Satellite A200 - 23Q - cfixer window at startup

    Hey guys!
I hope someone can help me.

Whenever I turn on my laptop (I have the Satellite A200 - 23Q) when my desktop appears at one point it breaks and I get the "cfixer" window pops up saying that it cannot find the cfixer file, and there is also a date when the file is deleted (it's always today's date, the date when I have my computer on). On the bottom, I have to cancel, try again or restore. When this happened for the first time, I clicked on restore, but it happened again the next time I was starting so I guess it's a virus so since then, I always click Cancel. But it happens for 3 or 4 months now and it annoys me reallly. When I get rid of this window continues startup, load the bar side, bluetooth and other programs.

Help, please! Is it possible to settle this issue without having to reinstall the operating system?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello!

If you reinstall ConfigFree utility that you can t do something wrong, but this .exe file at startup belongs to this tool and so you should try to reinstall.

Try it and post your result. Relocation of this tool only takes a few minutes and should solve your problem. :)

    Good bye

  • Question about the Satellite A200 bios password removal

    Hello.
I own a Satellite A200 - 1 KB which has a password on startup and I would like to delete the password.
I tried to get into the bios setup but I can't turn it off from there and I tried holding the ESC and hold left SHIFT to start but didn't work as well.

If someone could help woul be great...

    Hello

Unfortunately you won´t get here of secret advice on the deletion of bios passwords because the passwords were intended to protect a computer from unauthorized access. Thus, the password for the BIOS of your laptop is more often sunk that leads to the only solution:

Contact an authorized service partner and let the button remove the password. But don't forget that you will be charged since the removal of the password of the BIOS is not covered by the warranty. Each manufacturer made this way, otherwise it would be easy to steal a machine, ask someone from a forum, and then use the stolen computer.

You know what I mean? Here´s a link to find the closest available ASP in your country:

  • Satellite A200: PXE - E61 and BOOTMGR lack error appears

    Hi people,

Little problem here, I tried installing WXP vista was on my Satellite A200-1AI and it wouldn't let me. No matter how I put the bios, vista booted from the HARD drive and I couldn't boot from the boot of Windows XP Home edition cd.

    Then.

I formatted the drive with another PC. Now when the HARD drive is in my book and I am trying to boot from the cd of Windows XP Home edition, I get the following msg:

"For Realtek RTL8100E/8101E Fast Ethernet Network Adapter v1.02 (060510).
PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
PXE - M0F: Existing PXE ROM.

    BOOTMGR is missing
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart»

Any ideas? Any suggestions would be really useful.

    Thanks for your time,

    Dave.

    Hello

You have formatted the HARD drive in another computer and the boot manager has been destroyed.
"There is no operating system on the HARD drive and, therefore, the error message: BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart" appears

The second message PXE - M0F: existing ROM PXE said that the laptop tries to start form the LAN, but it s not able to find an OS using the connection to the local network.

Why all this error messages is displayed?
Well, I think that the CD/DVD drive cannot read the CD Windows XP inserted, and therefore in the switches to LAN.

Notes; You can boot from the disc by pressing the C key immediately after that laptop startup or you press the F12 key to get the boot menu. Then, you could choose the STRANGE as a source of start-up.

If you will not be able to boot from your Windows XP CD, I assumed that the CD is down or the CD/DVD drive can not handle this CD.

  • Satellite A200 PSAE3E - no loading and opening at startup Flash cards

I have a Satellite A200 PSAE3E and noticed recently that Flash cards do not appear now when I move my mouse to the top of the screen pointer.
I checked that the program is set to start when the laptop is turned on and I looked at the settings for the program and everything seems OK.

However I can't get them to appear if I double click on the file and start it manually.
As a temporary solution, I put a shortcut on my desktop to start it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Ward1941uk

    Hello

Start the * msconfig and check if the Toshiba Flash Cards are verified and activated in the Startup tab.
In addition, you should check if the service that controls the flashcards has been activated.

  • Satellite A200 - "findfirstchangenotification" message that appears at the beginning upward

    Hello!

I have the Satellite A200 with XP on it. I finally removed VIsta and now whenever I start the laptop appears this message: findfirstchangenotification.

    Hello

It is not easy to say what the problem is, but I imagine that some files are missing, but necessary to the application that starts with the operating system.

What you can try is to start your computer in SafeMode (F8) to see if the same message. Otherwise start your laptop on a regular route and go to MSCONFIG and check list of registered applications automatically implemented. Try to disable some of them and watch carefully what happens.
