Satellite A210 - 15K: webcam problem - graphics make it fail

Hello

I have a toshiba A210 - 15K, but I seem to have a problem with the integrated webcam for laptops. When I turn it on I can use it without problems all the time, but sometimes after a few hours of no use when I try to use it again it gives me the following message: "chart make fail" and it runs at all.

In order to make it work again I have to restart the computer, and even if I restart sometimes it does not start.

Someone knows how to fix this?

Thank you

I noticed the same thing on my Satellite P200. After reboot, everything works again. I don't use a webcam so often and it is not so important to me, but you can try to stop (exit) web cam software and start it again.

Maybe this will help. Can you please send the result? Right now my cam works well and I can't wait to check this option only.

    Hello

My Webcam Chicony 2.0 does not work. -Lockey by another Application...

So, I uninstalled the driver, but if I want to install the driver it is a mistake...

    Something with Win95 stand...

I got the driver from the Toshiba Page.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

Locked by another application error message is known to me.
This forum contains many discussions on this issue.

First of all it is very important that Vista SP1 has been installed. This update package contains a fix that is needed to get the webcam working properly.

Second messengers installed and loaded like MSN messenger, yahoo Messenger, Skype can lock the webcam.
Therefore, you must remove these applications from the RUN key in the registry.

The new installation of the webcam driver should also be made.

I put t know why you can not reinstall the webcam software. Maybe you didn t reinstall it correctly. You must decompress the file before you start the installation. It would be also advisable to clean the registry with the CCleaner after uninstalling software.

  • Satellite A210 - 15K - broken drive

    Hello
I have Toshiba Satellite A210 - 15K for nearly 2 years and my DVD player is broken recently.
When I put in CD or DVD drive to read. He tries for several minutes, but to no avail.
OS, I reinstall not so long ago.
Sometimes the reader read the discs, but it's a miracle :D

My request... I want to buy the new drive, but I do not know "that he will be fit?
It is SONY AD - 7670S.

    Thanks ^^
    + Sorry for my English.

    Hello

You may not use any CD/DVD drive.
You must use one that is compatible and supported.
The fact is that you use a reader that contains the wrong master/slave/c-salt settings prevent the player BIOS recognizes.

Although I know the laptop user manual should contain information on compatible CD/DVD players.
Otherwise you could try to get in touch with a local ASP and can order the STRANGE compatible to these guys

  • Satellite A210-14 - strange problem with new WLAN adapter Intel 4965agn mm1

The initially installed atheros wireless network adapter is just b/g and too slow for my network/needs

    So I bought a one n-project: mm1 4965agn (intel) (he got a toshiba p/n and s/n too)

I replaced the atheros one and plugged the Intel - booted and installed the drivers - restart-> adaper works very well-> reboot - nb stops at the toshiba BIOS screen without loading all the windows. I can't even to the BIOS-> removed Intel wlan adapt nb boots and as usual.

Please let me know what I need to do to make things work

    Hi chubbyhamster,

To me, it sounds like this map isn't WLAN compatible with your laptop. I guess that all wireless network adapters are compatible with all laptops (assignment of pins e. g.).

As far as I know use fast N project you need 3 antennas. I think Satellite A210-14 has just two antennas because only WIFI b/g card built in. This means that you can upgrade your laptop to the project speed N t.

Alternative you can use the LAN card or a USB key which takes in charge the project N, but in my view, WIFI b/g standard should be fast enough

Before reinstalling the new version please remove the old one first and reboot the laptop. Then, install the latest version.

    Hello

Please help me, I have a problem of blur using the webcam with Skype, and even with the camera utility windows 8.1, videos on Skype and photos taken by webcam are blurry (sorry for my English!).
I don't think that there is a plastic sticker on webcam.

    I'm on Windows 8.1 - 64.

    Thank you;

It is really strange. Have you noticed from the first day of use?
Make sure that the cam is not covered by a sticker and it must be clean.

Problem is that camera is controlled by the Microsoft utility, and there is not some additional options that we had on the old version of the application from Toshiba web camera.

  • Satellite A210-183 Bluetooth problems - reinstall?

I continue to have some problems with my BT connection: cannot send and receive files
    through bluetooth.

What should I do to reinstall the drivers of BT or new install?

    Thank you very much
    Perry

    Hello Perry

Can you please bring to end your first thread under http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums//message.jspa?messageID=154262

Can you put in service BT or not?
If so, I do not reinstall BT module will help. What you need to do is in fact secesfull coupling between phone and your BT phone. If the two devices are connected successfully, you can send and receive files without any problem. I do the same with my Motorola cellphone and Satellite P300 laptop.

Check the Toshiba Bluetooth Center under http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/ and visit the FAQ and HOW TO sections. If you can't find a useful on BT connection please let us know.

  • Satellite A210-15J WIFI problem

    Hello

I just bought this Toshiba laptop (with Windows Vista installed) today and it worked great... until that for any reason any wireless has stopped working. I did the update of windows and rebooted, it and started to get an error of the driver:

'USB2.0 WLAN ADAPTER' and it tells me to install the driver for it, but it does not work wireless any driver I install. I tried Realtek and Atheros (because I knew exactly what my WLAN model) and it still doesn't, as well for Vista. Windows Update cannot find the correct drivers to make it. When I decide the Manager there is an exclamation mark on the wireless network adapter. I also tried to plug the recovery CD Toshiba hoping install Vista drivers can identify the correct drivers it there with no luck. The wireless switch is turned on.

What can I do to get the wlan to work again?

    Help would be appreciated,

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

the problem is this update of windows has a tendency to sometimes destroy a system that works flawlessly just by copying some "stuff" (Wiagaliad) on it.
You can try the function of the driver rollback or recovery, coming back to a point where the system don't was not "infected" with the newest 'windows updates' and where the system WORKED.

Or, you make a backup of ALL your important files and perform a recovery of the entire system, which means a complete reinstallation of your system.

    It s on you. :/

  • Satellite A210 - 11K - serious starting problems

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A210 - 11K which has recently developed serious problems with start up. It makes a very loud beeps when I turn on the laptop.

Sometimes, the automatic recovery feature manages to recover the boot process and I can use the laptop as usual. But, at other times, I get a message indicating that automatic recovery could not repair the beginning upward and then I have to turn off the power for a day or two and try again.

The laptop also sometimes stops working after about half hour usage.
    Please can someone help?

    Hello

To be honest, the issue described doesn't sound like a software / system related problem, but nevertheless I think that you should try the s for laptop system recovery using the Toshiba recovery disc (of course if it is available).

In case you n t have this recovery media, I recommend you try the system reset using Microsoft own disc. essential drivers are available on the Toshiba driver page.

If the system recovery would not work, a hardware problem (HARD drive?) may be the reason why the laptop can not boot the system properly. But it is just a presumption

However, I think that's a good point to begin troubleshooting

  • Satellite A210 keyboard problem - Missing letters and generally acting-up

Model: A210-126 (not relevant since problem seams to affect several models)
Operating system: OS independent (tried multiple: OpenBSD, Linux, Windows XP, Vista, Win7)

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=51922&TSTART=30

    Symptom:
Keys is de-energized or gives wrong output. The problems occurs randomly, either right at startup or after availability. Looks like it's a hardware related issue and not a problem with the OS. The problem occurs in several OS´s and even in the BIOS-meny. None of the solutions posted in this forum / other items solves the problem.

The battery is not a solution (as suggested in other posts), the problem reoccurs after availability and sometimes even right to restart the computer. (Et laisse le visage, un ordinateur portable sans une batterie est un _stationary_) =)

No! It's not overheating and heat issue, this problem may occur at startup after a powerdown complete with battery and power removed. (and no, this isn't a problem of dust or a problem of broken / lack of cooling-fans/ventilation)

I use the lates for my model BIOS, so make a habit/flash-update of the bios to solve the problem.
Default factory restore is not a solution either, but _différemment_ ive tried, even if this problem most def is a hardware problem.

All the other solutions suggested by other posters solves the problem (most of them software related bugs in any case).

    Comments:
The problem started recently enough (ive had this laptop for about a year and a half) and judging by the other posts in this forum seams problem began on the same date/time to a suspect that he is a "calendar/clock" related question... but I'm not an expert and it's just a hunch (would explain why some users may experience a temporary "I solved the problem by changing keyboard-calendar" - euporia until) what they ecounter problem once again after a time of ).

The problem arises _completely_ radom and under any given the cirumstance...

    Any suggestions?

The links that you post are not related to the A210 but L670 laptop model and it was reading about L670 and the problem has been resolved by the BIOS updated

I have a laptop A210 and this issue never happened to me.
I installed Win XP, Vista and Win 7 on the Satellite A210 and keyboard is ok.

You have already updated the BIOS and fact laptop recovery and this didn't help?
OK, so it seems to be linked to the keyboard and the AEP from Toshiba technician should check what
