  You can activate and disable hibernation in the system control-> power options.
  Disable hibernation, restart and enable again. Is there an error message? Maybe your C drive has insufficient free space?
  The size of the hibernation file is different from your main memory size.

  I am the new owner of a Satellite A100 laptop that has a little problem.

  When the laptop goes into mode and the monitor shutsdown, energy saving when I turn on the computer again, I always get an error message will appear in the system tray. The message says: peripheral USB A "Power surge on Hub Port" exceeded the limits of its hub port power. To solve the problem, click this message.

  First of all, I have 4 USB ports, but NONE of them are used. There's nothing attached to the laptop at all.
  Secondly, when I click on the box, I get 5 unknown USB devices shown with the yellow question mark next to them in the list and 3 unused ports, which seem to be ok, with no yellow question mark.

  Why is happening, with no device attached, or even installed on the laptop.

  Your help to solve this problem will be more appreciated.

• Update error message failed

  Yet once I get the message - Update Failed — in my profile after I've updated (as admin) in win XP Home - SP3.
  I checked the Task Manager and PowerShell (as administrator) that the only case of FIreFox running you Bleeping error message.
  FF works well in the admin profile and shows to be up-to-date.

  Attached are several screenshots.

  I tried everything, including the uninstall and remove profiles of FF - remaining all users and re install.

  Is there something in the registry I should look?

  Any help is greatly appreciated.

  I managed to understand this issue. Looks like FF 39.03 was not completely removed. I noticed it is always there (with 40.02 FF) the second time I went in Add-Remove programs. Do you have an another uninstalling FF 39.03 and rebooted.
  All seems fine now... fingers crossed, knock on wood.

  I get this error message on my Toshiba T2450-CT.

  This BASE was abandoned because this machine has no ROM Basic use Basic of Toshiba.

  For this reason, I tried to update the BIOS according to the instructions on the Web site, but all I get is a beep when I get to the stage when I insert the disk and press any key!

  It is a funny! It reminds me the days of oooold. Somehwere in the history, it was part of the BIOS or another ROM on the motherboard, which held the BASIC (programming language). If the PC has somehow not boot from any disc then it started automatically BASIC.

  I think (not 100% sure here) that Toshiba never implemented the BASIC part.

  Your problem probably comes from the fact that the primary DOS partition is not set ACTIVE. Start on a diskette BACK bootable and run FDISK to check that it is set to active.

  Take good care! If you make a mistake here you may destroy your data.

  I have this old PC game called "Toy Story 2" for Windows 95/98 operating system in time and can't launch the .exe.
