Satellite A30-213 - no sound on Windows XP

I have no sound on my laptop audio drivers in Device Manager is ok, realtek ac97 audio version 5.10.0.5210. I check everything and I have tray reinstall everything, drivers on SP2, SP3, Windows XP Professional, home, but no sound.

on ubuntu 9.04 sound is ok...

I am doing everything as told to solve problems for the audio, but nothing happens...

Please help me with any idea

In your case, I recommend reinstalling the driver of its new.
But don t, run the exe but install the driver in Device Manager.

First remove the installed Realtek audio driver from the system.
Then clean the OS using CCleaner. You can download it for free... ask google.
Restart the unit.

Download driver Realtek Realtek page or from the page of the Toshiba driver directly.
Notes; you need the AC 97 Sound driver and NOT the driver Realtek HD!

Then go to the Device Manager, choose the sound card, the driver update, use the Advanced installation procedure which allows to point to the audio driver files that you downloaded from the internet.

The driver folder is the folder of wdm. You will find all the ini (driver files) files which are necessary!

  • Satellite A30-213 - stops after loading Internet pages

My satellite A30 213 stops almost everytime, when I enter a website with a lot of uploadings. The machine rotates in about a minute or two and closed its doors. I know that my RAM is only 256 KB. Is that why and in this case, what can I do about it?

    Best regards
    Janne

    Hello

It is not easy to give a correct answer, but the fact is that 256 MB of RAM for using Windows XP Home edition is really not much. I do not know what A30 you have exactly, but some of them can be upgraded up to 2 GB of RAM.

RAM modules are not more expensive and I recommend you to upgrade to 1 GB minimum. After this the laptop will have a lot more resources and will go much faster.

  • Satellite A30 213: broken in the power supply pin

I have so many problems with this.
I'd rather put it in the trash than to fix it, but unfortunately I have important documents that I have not saved.

Basically, the PIN into the Jack of the laptop is broken and I can't be able to my laptop and my battery is running out of power

    The battery is in the battery-compatible A30 - 213 in the A30 714?

    And someone has other solutions?

Please answer as soon as possible

    Hello

First of all a few words about the battery.
If I m not wrong not the Satellite A30 213 uses the same battery as the A30-714.
Therefore, you should be able to use the same battery in both units A30.

With regard to the question on another solution.
Well, there is only one real solution. The power supply needs to be replaced.
I m not sure if it s only plugged or soldered on the map. However, I recommend you contact the ASP in your country for assistance.
This should be always replaced by a mobile technician because the dismantling procedure is very delicate and difficult.

    Best regards and good luck

  • What are the compatible motherboards for Satellite A30 213

    Hello

This is my first post, I hope someone can help me!

I have a laptop A30-213, which requires a new main Board.
Can someone tell me that other models in this series have compatible motherboards?
I note there are a few on Ebay but no saying specifically A30-213.

Of course, it would have to take in the envelope for my A30-213 and have connections in the same place.
Not worth on the processors as I assume that these can be swapped?

    Thanks in advance!

    Keith

    Hello

You can only use a motherboard which has been designed and produced specially for a series of A30.
You can use the Board designed for Equium/Satellite A30 / Pro A30.

New Board of Directors can be ordered on an ASP in your country, but the new boards a not cheap. You know

  • Upgrade of RAM for Satellite A30 213

After buying my satellite second hand I immediately found why it was for sale, the dreaded overheating.
I cleaned the fans with compressed air and it worked fine, then my error fatal, flushed with success, I bought the RAM online and installed. It was recgonised by the system and I thought all was well until it has proved defective and crashed my operating system, no recovery was possible.

An operating system later new XP (and £50 poorer), I'm ready to have another go, but I can't open the user manual on the Toshiba site.

I want to get right to the RAM of a reputable suplier, but the specifications I have indicates only DDR RAM, does anyone know the full specification (pins etc) because I don't want to lose it all again?

    Hello

    Have a look here:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=7249&ft=m&St=3

You need the PC2100 200 pin SODIMM (266 MHz) DDR modules.
You can upgrade the Satellite A30 Ram up to 2 GB. This means that you can use the 2 x 1 GB module.

I had a good experience using modules from Kingston.

Until now only prob was webcam "locked by another application" what hours of web research has shown to be very common, driver webcam last downloaded prob. issued on December 3 rd Cam ok for now, but only time will tell. It is advisable to go through the full list of applicable drivers or leave things as they are. Don't want to cause probs of the irrational.

    Any advice welcome.

    Hello

It of Nice to read that your webcam working properly now and it would also be my suggestion to update the driver on this subject.

However, if your computer works fine now I n t sees no reason to update all drivers. Why you should do?
I think the drivers are only available to solve the problems on other laptops or compatibility issues so if you n t have problems, you need to update anything. I can never recommend change a system up and running! ;)

So have fun with your laptop don t not worth updating the drivers.

    Welcome them

I think that it s not easy to say and on Windows 7 I never had this problem, but maybe you need to turn the sound back on:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB7C021B0001R01.htm

In addition, check in Device Manager if the sound card is properly installed. Also make sure the BIOS version is up-to-date.

  • Satellite Pro 6100 - no sound on Windows XP Home edition

    Hi all

    New to the forum.

I just do a fresh install of XP on a SP6100. The XP disk was SP2.
There is no compatible audio driver. I downloaded the drivers Yamaha for this site, but he informs me that it is not compatible with this version of windows.
Research shows that it is service packs what he doesn't like.

    Are there options?
Or XP in standard form without any update of security etc. and are sounds or .run SP3 without.
Certainly, there is a driver of accountant there?

A base XP install working and then add service packs after the event?

    See you soon

  • Satellite Pro 4600 - no sound on Windows XP SP3

    Hello

The 2 drivers in the download section do not work. Everest shows me that there is no Audio Windows (service started) and Intel 82801BAM ICH2-M - AC 97 Audio Controller [B-2] PCI.
    No driver is now installed.

    Any ideas?

    Hi stanbulino,

Have you installed SP3 before installing the audio driver?

I n t have Satellite Pro 4600 so I can t say much about it, but you need to install the first chipset driver, then the audio driver.

Also, make sure that the Windows Audio Service is started.

    Hello

It is a known issue and it always seems if two important fixes from Microsoft were not installed.
You will need to install the fixes KB888111 and KB835221 first before installing the audio driver.

    Check this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=31967

If after installation of hotfixes mentioned in XP you should restart the notebook and then need to install the driver of his newest site Web of Realtek.

See you soon and I would like to know if the sound is working again.

PS. I have also the wi - fi light does not work, not really fussed on this subject, it worked on Vista!

    It's easy.
I've seen many users with the same issue.
The problem is that you didn t install the patches from Microsoft XP.

Patches are needed for the operation. First you must install the KB888111 and KB835221 hotfix before you install the audio driver.

    Hello Loyan

Sorry, but your ad is not understandable to me. Do you mean that you have installed the own operating system?

If so, please install the necessary drivers. Each of them you can find on Toshiba supports the page. If it please the first chipset driver installation and continue with display, audio, driver and so on.
