  Can you use it for laptop with AC power only when the battery is removed?
  If so, boot up your laptop and when the operating system is loaded to put battery inside, wait a few minutes and disconnect the power supply.
  Plug it in again and let us know if the same thing will happen again.

• Satellite A300 PSACGA - display distorts and freezes

  I have a Satellite A300 PSACGA-02V010 running Vista Ultimate.
  The laptop is around the age of 10 months and 12 hours a day for work purposes.

  For some reason there is a few days display distorted (pixelated) and froze.
  The only way to recover was a difficult start. Restarted the laptop it shows the desktop for about 30 seconds and did a repeat freeze performance. I restarted mode safe and it works very well for days.

  I thought there must be something loading at normal startup is causing the problem, so I disabled everything I thought I could do without and restarted in Normal Mode. Once again the office poster for about 30 seconds and then frozen again. I tried to roll using recovery, charging display and BIOS drivers from the Toshiba site but continues to the situation.
  In SafeMode it never freezes up

  First of all, please check the status of the device in Device Manager.
  Please check if the keyboard and touchpad are listed correctly without any yellow exclamation point.

  But you should try to reinstall the drivers again, even if the keyboard and the touchpad have been recognized correctly.

  If you have formatted the drive HARD second it shouldn't be a problem at startup of Windows.

  You burned the recovery disk? Then boot from it and install the laptop.

  Seems that the 64 bit Vista drivers are not available for this new series of Satellite A300-15J PSAJ4E.

  But as far as I know the laptop supports a digital media card reader that has been integrated into another series of small notebook common Multiple.

  I have been runing Windows Vista on my Toshiba Satellite Pro A300 PSAGDE. Because my original Windows Vista key has been blocked I did a system recovery CD Toshiba vith XP. Everything work fine except the fingerprint sensor and the touchpad.   I need to buy a new laptop with windows XP on it. I was initially attracted by the Satellite Pro P300-19 q because of its ability to be downgraded to XP.   May I ask how you installed Win XP?
  Did you change the SATA mode on compatible in the BIOS settings?
  If yes then this problem is related to the missing SATA drivers!

  You can find the SATA drivers in the Intel Storage Manager which is placed on the page of European disk from Toshiba!
