  I have a Satellite A300-1hv with harman kardon speakers.

  The problem is that when I'm listening to a song, or whatever it is there is a noise from the left speaker, but I don't know if it's the current President or the case of rattling or vibration.

• Satellite A300-1HV: light button does not work

  Hi guys,.

  I recently bought a Satellite A300-1HV, and while that in the store, the salesman showed me it was possible to turn off the light behind the function/media at the top of the keyboard buttons. It seems to do by simply pressing the first button (the mute button).

  When I got home I tried several times, and he did in fact machine do what I expected (i.e. off lighting). The manual describes the first button under the button "Mute or LED power. Later that night, I tried the button again once, but this time it acted as a mute button and either turns off the lighting. In addition, the second button (CD/DVD) no longer seems to work at all, although it lights up when you press.

  I tried the Toshiba Assist software and am able to manually turn off the lighting, but the 'Toshiba button Support' seems to have no effect on buttons. I guess this would allow me to set up manually a program runs when I press one of two buttons, but no matter what I ask it to run, it does nothing.

  It's as if there is a piece of software that should be run, leading the keys, that I do not have (or at least no longer have).

  You can access this menu by pressing the F2 key when turned on the machine.

  Hi I just finished a manual install Vista on my A300-1HV. Using the command I had in another post, all the drivers and the utils installed ok.

  However, the only problem I have now is that the 6 sensitive circles above the keyboard keys have no mapping in Toshiba button Manager.

  I thought the PVAT have fixed these to the top but it doesn't there no. (I made this facility twice now because of this problem.)

  How to do, can anyone provide a working set of registry entries, I could try?

• Satellite A300 - Ticking noise all trying to load

  Recently my satellite A300 has started to make a quiet ticking / clicking noise when it loads with the laptop battery is running. The noise is coming from the inside of the laptop and if I put the charger "brick" to my ear, I hear a noise inside than in in sync with the sound of ticking.

  Battery does not charge while the laptop is running (but clicking on icon battery says plugged in, load), the battery tends to remain some fees his establishment. • Satellite A300-1 M 1 - skates from CD/DVD, makes noise but does not read the CD

  I own a laptop Satellite A300 - 1 M 1

  He reads some DVD, windows media player or VLC, but fails to read CDs and many DVDs

Needless to say, I tried several different CD. Only DVD movie I managed to read on the player.

  I think that it s a CD/DVD drive problem
  There might be something wrong with the lens of laser disk or disks are not totally compatible

  You could try burning the disks on another computer and could attempt to read copied discs

  I have two cell phones and a PS3 at home.
  The HARD drive in a laptop made similar clicking sound. In addition, I noticed the same sound in the PS3. Since the upgrade to 500GB drive HARD makes the similar sound as the HARD drive in my notebook.
