  I put t know a solution to the problem, but I can't believe that these problems appear under Windows. Some drivers for windows supports an extensible option and therefore this bar don t appear.
  But generally it s not able to install the original NVIDIA driver on Toshiba laptop under windows. Graphics drivers from the Toshiba page are not the same as the original graphics drivers from Nvidia or ATI page.

  I don't know about using the driver with Linux m but I found a piece of nice configuration info page:
