  The driver for the HDMI Control Manager is only available for Vista 32 bit and 64 bit!
  There is no special driver HDMI for Win XP!

  But why are you needed it?
  I m not an A300 owner but my other Satellite was equipped with HDMI port and I installed Win XP too.
  I n t need a driver HDMI in order to use the HDMI port.

  I have connected my external monitor via a HDMI cable and everything works perfectly!

  I'm of the Greece so I apologise for any errors of syntax, I can do.
  My girlfriend has the Satellite A300 PSAJ4E but his hard disk was destroyed, so I bought him a new (WD Scorpio Black 500 GB) and I downloaded the original Windows 7 MSDNAA to install on the laptop.
  The problem is that it doesn't have the drivers cd so I have to find them on the internet. The other problem is that on the Toshiba official support site it is not found the laptop or the drivers for it.
  So please help me find them. Or tell me if I can insert some of the other Toshiba laptop drivers to it.
  I am ready to format and everything and I don't have the drivers.

  Follow these steps and check if the problem persists.

  Step 1:

  Run the network troubleshooter and check if it makes a difference.

  Step 2:

  Download and install the latest network drivers for Windows 7 from here:

  Step 3:

  Uninstall and reinstall the network card.
   
  a. Click Start, type device manager in the search box of start and press ENTER.
  b. Locate the network adapters and expand the same.
  c. Select the wireless connection, right click and choose uninstall.
  d. restart the computer, if prompted.
   
  Pilots should settle automatically after the computer restarts.
   
  Now you can install the latest network card drivers and see if that fixes the problem.

  You are right. This old piece of hardware is not supported for Win8 and Toshiba offer not only any what Win8 driver, the tool and the utility. You shouldn't be disappointed. Toshiba and other manufacturers of portable does not offer support for all operating systems, especially for older models of laptops.

  It can be very problematic to use newer OS on the old machine.
  I can see it is fully supported for Win7 64 bit so I think it's the best OS for this little machine.

  In any case, let's see if some other owners have little luck with Win8 installed.

  Toshiba laptops are preinstalled with applications, Toshiba and 3rd additional third-party software such as McAfee Internet Security Suite or Microsoft Works.
  This 3rd software is a part of the image of Toshiba and can ONLY be used with this image of Toshiba. It s preinstalled as OEM version!

  If you want to use Win XP, then you can install it and you will also find the drivers Toshiba and the Toshiba tools European driver page, but you will not be able to download any 3rd software part because it is NOT Toshiba software

  I changed my OS winXP SP3.

  After reading a lot of posts, I finally installed my new operating system but with SATA compatibility mode. I tried to change again in AHCI mode, but every time I tried Windows hangs at loading. I also tried to install Storage Manager after installation of the OS, but it fails. So I decided to change the XP disk, including the SATA driver, but after downloading all the drivers on my computer I can't find the SATA driver.

  Can someone tell me where is the .inf file?

  Firstly it is not possible to change the compatibility mode to AHCI after installing Windows. You can only do before installing XP, otherwise you get a BSOD.

  However, if you have downloaded the Storage Manager you must extract the files from the .exe file. Open a command line and type the following command:
  ' - A - a - PC:------'

  After that, you can copy the inf for external floppy drive files or integrate it into the new XP installation disc.

  Recently replaced the HARD drive and loaded to the top of W8.1. My wife was not impressed. I started W7, but this has been removed and the driver of the object. I'm unable to located on the Toshiba download page, and as I don't know what kind of network controller, is, I am unable to get it is through other means. The model is PSK1JA.

  You can find all the drivers on the Toshiba page:

  At present, there is no Windows 7 driver for webcam but you can try the Vista driver. It work?

  If this isn't the case, you can download the Windows 7 driver for another model A300. Normally, it should also work on your model.
