  Looks like your laptop is overheating ;)

  In my opinion, you should check the cooling options in Windows power management. Make sure that it s set for maximum Performance. This means that your laptop will be cooled as much as possible.

  I put t know how long you have this laptop already but maybe that cleaning is also an option.

  I noticed that a new Bluetooth monitor was released for my Satellite A500 - 1 c 0 and so I tried to use it.

  First, I downloaded the Bluetooth stack and Bluetooth screen and install it. As soon as I restarted my computer loaded Windows system default Bluetooth service. I tried to manually start the monitor installed, so I tried a Bluetooth Monitor and it came, but nothing happened. Ultimately the only way to get the old dos application had to use system restore. When I restored it to the previous system I just installed Bluetooth Monitor without installing Bluetooth Stack, and there it is again. I only use Windows Bluetooth utility.

  How can I disable the utility and use Bluetooth Monitor from Toshiba or I can do it by default? It does not even start.

I need to create 2 folders to separate destination (or directories) to the SL Viewer 1.23 and Viewer 2.2 caches.  Right now the 1.23 cache is stored in the folder AppData/Local.  When 2.2 is downloaded, it will not replace 1.23, but things & Stuff Blog of Nalates Wordpress (also a contributor to regular Forum SL) recommend to around 2.2 to another 'file' or 'directory' cache (before the opening of 2.2 for the 1st time) to prevent the inventory and avatar problems loading again (when I had 2.1 load on the computer with 1.23) when I switch using the Viewer 1.23 and Viewer 2.2.  I don't know how to do this, but reading the wiki in Second Life in caches that directed me to the website of Microsoft, it seems that I need to get/use one command Linkd.exe which is part of the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools - but a note on the site of Microsoft for the Kit, under requirements of the States that the Kit is not supported supported on 64-bit platforms.  What to do please?  TY

  a. go to the Preferences tab which displays your location of the cache.

  b. click on the 'Browse' (viewer 2.0) or the button "Set" (Viewer 1.23), create a new folder in a convenient (for example on your desktop) and select the folder to be your new location of the cache. Relog.

  Hi everyone, I run Toshiba SATELLITE A500 - 1C0 (PSAR3E-01300WPL) with Windows 8 PRO x 64.

  As I noticed - post factum /:-'Models supported' not supported for Windows 8 drivers of my PC.

  Although, the computer will work perfectly, but I have a little problem with my drivers: the Panel at the top of the keyboard (http://goo.gl/IQVAG) works not only put on mute, volume up/down work, but the ECO button and media buttons are NOT - is there any method to upgrade the drivers so that I can use all the keys?

  I installed TOSHIBA eco utility and it works fine, but the buttons do not respond. I can't find and update the driver/ulitity that is responsible for this issue.

  I also want to ask if there is any chance to get the TOSHIBA for Win.8 drivers for my Satellite A PC series in the future. Y at - it a utility to analyze and automatically update TOSHIBA drivers? (but not Toshiba drivers Update Utility, which does not work in my case - it offers me to downgrade my drivers!)

  I opened the Device Manager and tried to update the drivers manually, but - that's even BIGGER problem then eco Panel etc. - some devices are marked as "unknown devices" and may not be recognized at all.

  The cooling fan is controlled by the fan table in the BIOS. Fan table contains information about the temperature and the fan speed that means the depands on some level temperature fan speed.
  Over all the possible game features as the CPU, GPU, produce heat and the heat dissipation is high
  Cooling modules would begin to turn faster if the temperature level would be exceeded
  This is nothing exceptional everything at stake

  I read on a similar question, and apparently, the graphics card DRIVER crashed during games
  Maybe it's a compatibility problem between game and pilot
  In most cases the graphics card driver update should fix this and I read on some forums that it has helped in many cases

• Satellite A500 - power problems while game

  I was wondering if Satellite A500 users have had the same problem as me. I got my laptop to 10 months and for the last 2 months I get really bad heating problems with my laptop. I have tried everything to clean the laptop with a can to purchase under product cooling fan air to try to stop the tap from the bottom during the game but no luck.

  I want to come to a point were I think that its time to back the laptop to toshiba and ask for a replacement or a new laptop as after spending nearly £700 for laptop Gamers its just not up to scratch.

  Any help would be most appreciated that I get at the end of my patience with her. Now stop playing Aliens Vs Predators live x 11 and the Lord of the Rings Online and Supreme Commander 2, name a few.

  Also, I was watching a DVD using the HDMI port and it did for me then also.

  So if your laptop stops all at stake, it would be interesting to know what OS you have installed what is driving display and you are using. This behavior is typical if you use nVidia display drivers rather Toshiba display drivers. The nVidia drivers don't have protection against overheating and different thermal management. This means that your graphics card would go on the highest level, so it might be overheating and closed.
  I would recommend most recent installation display driver official of Toshiba page for your model.

  I've had my toshiba satellite a500-17 x for about two years, I bought to play Starcraft and world of warcraft. Since I got it I had a problem with it.   That's is a bit strange, I've never had such a problem and I don t often play on battery mode, only on AC/DC adapter.

  The only idea I have for the moment, is that you should check the power Windows settings. Maybe in the power profile that you use is something different for battery operation, e. g. CPU maximum performance set to 50% for battery operation.
