Satellite A500 - 1EE display driver keeps crashing

My display driver on your laptop A500 - 1EE crash now since I bought it.

Uninstalled the driver, rebooted, reinstalled... his problem persists, every two days, and even 2 times a day, he breaks down, but recovers immediately after.

Please help, because I don't want to send it in for service just for that.

Hello

This is a typical problem for series a500 freezing and crashing. I'm also owner of A500-1dn, had the same problem who had disappeared after the update of a map graph to nvidia.com. But you know, this driver is not pretested by Toshiba and use it at my own risk.

My AMD display driver keeps crashing and stop any use of the computer for 5 to 10 minutes

    Hi Dennis,

This is not a question of MSE and not sounds more like a problem of malware.  Looks like a hardware problem or a driver problem or maybe even a problem of file system containing your OS files.  It could be the video card, the monitor or something else (even if it seems to be this driver I suggest that you update to AMD first to see if that helps - even if he says it works very well in the Device Manager and the version at AMD is the same version that you have installed).  He might even have to do with the settings or types of videos - is there something special or different about these videos and they come from the internet or from a CD/DVD which can also be part of the problem (there is not enough information to determine these things and the 5-10 minute thing is source of confusing).  In essence, it could be the driver, or there could be a conflict any affecting the driver (or corrupt files or many things).  I could walk you through some troubleshooting steps, but it is better that you get the help of people who specialize in this.  In any event it is not here.

If please repost to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/hardware?page=1 (but actually go first to the top and your version of Windows to reach the appropriate forum for your entry system).  Experts in the material problems and driver for your operating system will be a pleasure to help you and you will receive the best help from these forums.  They can refer you to AMD to help, but it is likely that they will be able to help you without it (and the problem may simply need new drivers from AMD or other aspects of your system) - but if they come to that point, they will send you there in time.  The accident likely causes an error message any (that's why your system to know that it is the AMD display driver).  When you re - post, please include the exact error message and everything Word to Word with all codes that can help identify the cause of the problem.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

Who knows what that you made or installed the last days.
You have this problem on the first day?
Do you use factory settings (laptop preinstalled by Toshiba)?

    Have you installed some games?
This happens sporadically or in a certain situation to you?
Have you tried to reinstall the display driver?

Have you tried even anything to make it work properly again?

My laptop is the A500-1GH and I bought it 2 days ago...
My problem is that, for the fourth time, the screen went black and then recovered and I get the message "display driver stopped responding and was retrieved successfully." My graphics card is Nvidia GeForce 330.

I'd appreciate it if anyone knows what to do to fix this

    Hello

Looks like the graphics card driver crashed for no apparent reason.
Have you tried to reinstall the graphics driver?

    To do this.
Visit the page of European Toshiba driver and download the driver for this model of laptop. Update the driver and restart the device.

It would be interesting to know if it would help.

I updated the drivers directly from Nvidia, as I have the Geforce GT 330 M, it ceased to display the error message, but the screen is still blank. Anyone has any ideas how to solve this problem?

Also, a small separate question, sometimes my laptop will automatically resume after hibernation (I don't use mode 'sleep') when I open the cover, without pressing the power button. However, most of the time this will not happen, and I have to press the power button instead. Why the computer will do that sometimes, but not others? Can someone tell me how to get the laptop to turn on simply by opening the cover, 100% of the time?

    Thank you for your advice.

    Hello

With regard to the problem of black screen.
You used the nVidia driver that it is not advisable due to the missing overheating protection. You must use the driver from Toshiba page.
Please also check if the BIOS is updated.
If the BIOS newer is available, please update that I read in some discussions that might contribute to solve these problems

    Regarding automatically resumed from hibernation.
You must check in the BIOS if the Wake up on LAN and wake on keyboard options are disabled. If both or one is turned on, then off, save the changes in the BIOS and reboot the device

    Good luck

It looks like the temporary server failure. You can try it later.

  • Satellite A500-1EE (PSAR9E) media buttons are not lit in Fendora

I installed Fedora 16 on my Toshiba Satellite A500-1EE, part number PSAR9E, in replacement of Windows 7. Most of the stuff works very well, fortunately, except that the media buttons (play/pause, volume up/down, etc.) are not enlightened. It's frustrating because I often work in low light and simply can not see the button, which forces me to turn on the light every time I want to change the volume or move to the next song in my MP3 player.

The highlight was done with Windows 7 (running after starting Windows, but was extinguished during the boot process), so he's certainly not broken.

I tried with 16-32 & 64 bit Fedora and dreamlike Ubuntu 32 bit and I can't seem to find a way to turn on the light of media buttons, leading me to suspect is a Linux question nationally.

Is there a setting, tool or any other solution that would allow me to have my media buttons light on?

As you probably know for this lighting feature Toshiba designed little tool, this piece of software is designed for the Windows operating system only.
I also know that Toshiba doesn't support Linux, so there is none of these tools which runs on the Linux platform.

Have you tried to check some Linux forums and pick up the experiences of other experts in Linux.

  • Satellite A500-1EE - where to find the 32-bit drivers for Windows 7?

    Welcome!

I have the Satellite A500-1EE with the 64 bit version of Windows 7 and I need to install the 32-bit version of this system. Is this possible?

Because I can not find the drivers for 32 bit.

    Hi tosipaw,

Of course, it is possible and you can install what you want on your laptop, but I put t understand why you want to change to 64-bit to 32-bit OS.
What are the reasons for that?

Normally everything can be downloaded here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

Your model belongs to the series of PSAR9E and so only drivers 64-bit available.

If you are looking for all models A500 (without PSAR9E), you will find a large number of drivers Vista 32 bit. Maybe they work and it s worth a try! :)

  • Why my display driver keep on crashing?

Whenever I try to play a game in full screen, the screen flashes black and there are black stripes. Finally, it stops, and the game ends. Sometimes, the computer restarts, and occasionally, the message "display driver has stopped working and has fully recovered. This prevents my brother and me to play games, which is what was intended at our new computer.

    Hi Jod,

    Please contact the Microsoft community.

I'm sorry to know that you are unable to use your computer to play games like the display driver crashes often. This problem can be caused if the display drivers are corrupted or needs to be updated.

To get a clear understanding of the issue, I want to know:

    1. What is the brand and model of your computer?
    2. You did it changes on your computer before this problem?
    3. Is that the question is only when you play games?
    4. Game in which you try to read?

To resolve this problem, I suggest to follow the methods in the link below and check if the problem is fix.

  • How to boot from a usb on Satellite A500-o25 flash drive

How you configure boot on A500-o25 order, so that it starts from USB first.

    Hello

Enter the Bios by pressing F2 at startup, go to the start menu and choose the USB drive as first boot device (you navigate with the F5 and F6 keys). Press F10, and... Save and exit menu, is displayed, press ok. That's all.

Note, I have my satellite A500 connect the computer before turning on Usb flash, otherwise the usb flash drive does not appear in the boot menu in Bios

  • Satellite A200 - install display driver

    Hello

I have a Satellite A200 (PSAF6A 02Q01N) which has recently crashed after a Windows Vista downlaod. I managed to make a recovery disc and run it again, but now the resolution of the monitor is only available in 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600. That is why the screen is all tense and the resolution is terrible. I tell myself that I need to download and install a new driver and I think I found it. The firs ATI Display Driver listed on this page

    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/satellite/A200/psaf6a-02q01n/download?OS=15

I downloaded it and guess I must run the installation of the BIN directory Manager. Can anyone confirm that it is correct?

    Thanks in advance,

    VIC

Stand by. If I understand you right, you have this resolution problem after installation of operating system using original disk recovery facilities.
    I understood you right?

I have a _ * Satellite A500-1GL * with the _ _ * Nvidia GeForce GT 330 M * _. When I use the webcam and watch a few videos the screen goes black and is showed the following error:

_ * "VIDEO DRIVER IS NOT RESPONDING AND WAS RECOVERED SUCCESSFULLY. DRIVER NVIDIA WINDOWS KERNEL MODE DRIVER, VERSION 275.33 VIDEO UNRESPONSIVE AND WAS RECOVERED SUCCESSFULLY. » *_

    Help, please!

    Thank you

    Hello

The version of the video driver 275.33 is not an official version of Toshiba. I checked the Web from Toshiba site and for your model of laptop (model PSAR9E number) version 8.16.11.8875 is the most recent. So I recommend installing this display driver because it s pre-tested Toshiba designed for your model of laptop display driver.

    I hope that helps! :)
