  I just installed Win XP Pro on my laptop A60-392. I have a Sony Microvault 128 MB of flash memory. I plugged the memory stick into a usb port.   Please check if you have any "mapped manully" devices that could collide with the Windows dynamic drive mappings.
  F.ex. If you have a network folder that you have written or manually set on E: and the PC has a C: (hard drive), and a D: (CD/DVD) then the next card reader would be E:. Windows is not 100% good to discover you already manually or by other means mapped your network to E: folder so he's trying to map your USB drive to E: - then it will be not visible in Explorer and so on.
  Solution: Map the USB device or mmanually device mapped to a different drive letter.

  For some reason, my ipod dosnt appear on my laptop, but it does on my other PC. I'm sure that all usb ports are 2.0 so I don't see why it should not work? But he dosnt mount as a removable hard drive or in iTunes.
