  I have a Toshiba laptop A60-672 he had been running slow but now when I turn the laptop it goes directly to the option screen where I choose the mode without failure or last known good configuration, all the options I choose goes into the windows form as if xp load to the top of the blue cross bar the bottom of the screen you get a quick click of a blue screen and then it restarts to the safe mode screen and know last good config?

  NEBIE here with what is probably a stupid question.

  I bought 1 GB of DDR Ram to upgrade the laptop above (which is currently a very limited 256 MB RAM) and removed the access memory based slot then... confusion.

  There is a black sticker on the memory, the levers to release the memory are blocked to other areas of the motherboard that makes me suspect that there is another angle.

  So, you will be able to upgrade memory only to 1280MB

  I think that it s not worth buying a new motherboard because you could add a few Euros and might get a new laptop.

  However, you can view some websites like Ebay for example a satellite M30/Satellite Pro M30 of second hand. Perhaps you could get a second hand mobo

  It seems the renovated its MB has been replaced.  When I go out the memory chips the Board part number is 459537-001 which is different from the one in the maintenance manual.  The woman who sold me the supposed optical drive it as the MB.  Bottome line, I'm not going to spend more money on this model and I'll buy an external optical drive and work around the problem, if in fact it is the MB.  It seems that the internal optical drives are all or nothing.  She also said that the wireless would give a point.  I have soft cam with this one for awhile.
