Satellite A80-116: OS Win is not able to open

all of a sudden my laptop cannot be started.
When I turn it on, windows XP cannot open.
I tried all the options like start it in safe mode, or start with what I was doing last but nothing happens.

Is really the only way to use the PRODUCT RECOVERY DVD-ROM? I would lose all my programs and files.
Appreciate any help!

Hello Lothar

Can you please explain exactly what is happening here? is there an error message? What is displayed on the screen?

If possible, you can connect the HARD drive on some other laptop as an external and copy all of your data before using recovery media. For this you need disk box HARD little course with USB connection.
