Satellite C45 - some keys do not respond

Hello

I own a C45 - ASP4203fl Lap Top and yesterday evening everything worked smooth but today this keys are unresponsive Q, S, D, J, as I said all finally going to stop but is not working, I had to connect a USB keyboard to write this post.

Any idea?

Hello

I guess it's a malfunctioning internal keyboard...
As you say, the external USB keyboard works always...
This means that the keyboard controller is OK and there must be a problem with the internal keyboard.
To remedy this, you will need to replace this part.

    Hello

These lines on the screen indicate graphics card problem.
Try testing with external monitor? If the same image that you will certainly know the graphics card is defective.

Anyway, these two questions are for me serious enough and best thing you can do is to contact the nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer.

  • Re: Satellite U400 - 142 (XP) - key touch not responding do not

    Hello
I have the problem, that the keys do not respond occasionally.
    Example:
I hit the keys 'and' but the screen only shows "NA".
The problem is not specific to any application s/w, it happens in a text editor, outlook etc.
    Rgds,

Maybe you write too fast and a few buttons, pressure is not strong enough.
You can test the functionality when you type slowly and press each button properly?

  • Satellite A300 - easy (key) does not not after SP2 update

Satellite A300 easy (key) does not...
I have recently upgraded my Vista SP1 to SP2 (do not know if this is the problem, but I'm pretty sure that's not)

Yesterday, I discovered that my easy keys no longer work. Lights are out, when I press the keys, the light comes on and goes off again as they do normally, but no reaction on my screen (can not turn on any light without restarting my computer and select turned ON manually cannot transform media of windows opened by the touch and play the key do not work).

Is it supposed to be a driver or something for this?

    Sorry for the bad English...

    Hello!

A few days ago, I had the same problem on my laptop Qosmio. Lighting keys stopped working after installing some updates and the 3rd application programs the keys no longer works and also the lighting.
At the end of the story, I had to reinstall Windows :(

In any case, now, you should try to reinstall the Toshiba value added Package. He controls these buttons that you want to say and you can find it on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

Before installing you need to remove the old version first, restart the computer, clean up your Windows with CCleaner for example, restart again and then install the new VAP.

Satellite A30 FN keys do not work

    Hello

What especial of the fn function does not work?
If you want to use, for example the FN + F3 or FN + F2 you need preinstalled power saving.
The Fn key functions depends on the application of 3rd as a saver or display pyromecanismes change utility for FN + F5.

You should check the saving of Toshiba for the necessary drivers and reinstall it.

some keys do not work on the laptop.

    Hello

Maybe it's a hardware problem, but it is always worth trying the following.

Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  • Satellite L50-B-127 - some keys are not working and touchpad blocks constantly

Before leave here an apology because I'm Portuguese and my English level is very low.

    My computer is a Toshiba Satellite L50 B 127

Lately, I noticed some anomalies which appeared me on my computer (which should take about a year). When I speak of anomalies refer to the keys you use rarely, and at this stage do not work (example: arrow left, Z,...)
Not to mention that I noticed that my touchpad is constantly blocking, that is to say after the buttons to work, the cursor does not move, being sometimes more than 20 seconds to wait for the cursor to return to normal.

If anyone has had this problem or knows the cause and the solution? Recognizing a response as soon as possible

Hello everyone, I'm here to post my problem that has caused me a lot of problems and troubles and especially apologize because that throughout this text should meet several errors since my English level is low

My computer is a toshiba satellite L50 B 127 and has a little more than a year of use

Lately, I found some anomalies in my computer including some keys from one day to the other crashed, these keys are not widely used (arrow to the left, z, dash). In addition, my touchpad has been constantly block of minutes in minutes, even if the buttons on the touchpad still work, the truth is that the block cursor for a few seconds and then comes back to work as if nothing had happened. In 10 minutes, however this situation occurred four times

I would be grateful if someone knew the reason why this happens or even the solution to answer me as soon as possible

    Hello

Well, it can happen that some keys stop working after several months and you can't do anything.

You must contact the authorized service provider for a new keyboard because some individual keys can be exchanged, only the entire keyboard.
Your laptop is only 6 months old, and then the repair is covered under warranty. :)

On the Toshiba page, you can find a list of ASP.

    Hello

The A205-S5843 belongs to the American TV series.
I checked the hardware specs for the Toshiba page and it seems that this laptop was equipped with the Atheros 802.11 wireless LAN card b/g.

The Atheros Wlan driver can be downloaded from the Toshiba driver page we or this portal of Toshiba Europe WLan:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

    Regarding your problem of keyboard/button.
You guarantee that this is not a software problem?
I want to say have you tested if the keys/keyboard of laptop s works with the original image of Toshiba OS preinstalled?

In my opinion this behavior strange keyboard looks more hardware issue more software problem, but it s worth it to check if the new facility would solve your problem
But if you see any improvements then the keyboard should be checked by an authorized partner.

  • Some keys do not work on my laptop Satellite C

because today, I have some problems with some keys on my keyboard, my Z-(left next to the Z) and my FN key is not working (I had to copy and paste the XD Z) but this problem is really annoying is there a way to fix this?

It is unclear to me that the simple keys to repair can be performed.
In this case, the entire keyboard must be replaced.

I put t know which model of laptop and how old there but it is possible that some of the keys are broken.
What you can try is to remove the check and cap - keys if key is dirty and see if there is a contact problem.

  • Some keys do not work in Satellite C850-B374 bought in April 2013

[I noticed that the BACKSPACE key and] support key and + = equal to the key, enter key does not work. It did not work when I bought the pc.

These keys were not working from the moment that I bought the computer. This is a drawback that I can't use the BACKSPACE key.
How to activate these keys in this laptop?

    > It did not work when I bought the pc.
Why do you keep cell phone if there is a problem? In this case, you must ask for the replacement and exchange it.
In any case, contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They must check the functionality of the keyboard and in the worst cases swap the keyboard.

To be honest, I can't imagine that there is a software related problem. All you can do is check if the new BIOS update is available or reinstall OS to see if this will help. In my opinion you should not do this. Laptop is new with warranty for Toshiba service should fix this for free of course.

  • Satellite A500: Multimedia keys do not work after Win 8 upgrade

    Hi everyone, I run Toshiba SATELLITE A500 - 1C0 (PSAR3E-01300WPL) with Windows 8 PRO x 64.

As I noticed - post factum /:-'Models supported' not supported for Windows 8 drivers of my PC.

Although, the computer will work perfectly, but I have a little problem with my drivers: the Panel at the top of the keyboard (http://goo.gl/IQVAG) works not only put on mute, volume up/down work, but the ECO button and media buttons are NOT - is there any method to upgrade the drivers so that I can use all the keys?

I installed TOSHIBA eco utility and it works fine, but the buttons do not respond. I can't find and update the driver/ulitity that is responsible for this issue.

I also want to ask if there is any chance to get the TOSHIBA for Win.8 drivers for my Satellite A PC series in the future. Y at - it a utility to analyze and automatically update TOSHIBA drivers? (but not Toshiba drivers Update Utility, which does not work in my case - it offers me to downgrade my drivers!)

I opened the Device Manager and tried to update the drivers manually, but - that's even BIGGER problem then eco Panel etc. - some devices are marked as "unknown devices" and may not be recognized at all.

    Thank you for your help,
    oddajlatarke

    > is there a method to upgrade the drivers so that I can use all the keys?

Method? Name is no other method as to try some tools to win 8 released for other series of laptop. The multimedia button requires installation of VAP (value package).
Check and test the VAP to win 8 released to win 8 supported notebook series.

    > I also want to ask if there is any chance to get the TOSHIBA for Win.8 drivers for my Satellite A PC series in the future.
As you said above; computer laptop isn t Win 8 supported model, so I doubt that you will get all the drivers Win 8 in the future.
